If laughter is the best medicine, then Stir Crazy Comedy Club is basically a CVS but with a bar. We hit up Open Mic Night on a Wednesday for $6 a person--which is cheaper than therapy and wayyyy more entertaining. These comics had me laughing so hard I almost choked on my chicken fingers (a noble way to go, honestly). Service was fast and friendly, like they knew we were one bad joke away from getting hangry. We got the chicken fingers with fries and a burger with fries--because clearly we like our food shaped like fingers or circles, and accompanied by fries. Speaking of which, the fry portion was generous. And that burger? Toppings were fresher than a college freshman with a thesaurus. Bonus: $12 burger and beer deal. That's less than I paid for popcorn at the movies last week. Would I come back? Absolutely. My face still hurts from laughing--and I might be in love with the fries.

Got to meet with Gabriel after the show and buy merch

It was our first time to Stir Crazy Comedy in Glendale. Although it was a long drive it was definitely worth it. It's located in Westgate, on the upper level fairly easy to find. When we walked in we were greeted by Tom. He took our name and we were immediately seated. He was a great host. He came out and introduced the opening act and got the crowd going. The opening acts were excellent. We were there to see Gabriel Rutledge, but it was a pleasant surprise to have some other comics. When Gabriel came out, he mesmerized the crowd for over an hour with his incredible sense of humor. We belly laughed out loud and just enjoy the night. The club did have a two drink minimum which was fine. They had a good selection of drinks to choose from including non-alcoholic and alcoholic. We also opted to get food in house and it was great. We had the burger, taco salad fries, a buffalo chicken wrap a whole variety of items and all of them were great! The staff took great care of the tables not interrupting the comics. We would definitely recommend seeing Gabriel although I do know that he has sold out the rest of the the weekend but next time he's in town check him out and give Stir Crazy a chance.

We had a great time here at Stir Crazy Comedy Club. It's clean and I really like the way the seating is laid out. No assigned seats so we got there early and sat right in the front. Staff is excellent and you just press a button for them to come take your order. Loved the bacon and caramel popcorn! My only complaint would be I would love a mock tail menu for those who don't drink but want a feel like they are having a cocktail.

    Great club! Monkey approved!

Stir Crazy is a very well run comedy club. They offer a wide variety of comedy from squeaky clean to umm...not so clean. Our favorites are the Clean Comedy Open mic shows and Clean Comedy Nights. Food, drinks, and, service are always good. Feeling a little blue? Well, laughter is the spice of life. Hurray for comedy!

I was too harsh with the drink menu previously. The comedy shows are top notch and we come here often too. Service is actually very good. And it's stand up comedy which we love, well worth thethe visits!

Girlfriend and I went for the very first time. All three comedians were fantastic. Congrats to Julio, who received his residency in Las Vegas. I'll see him in Vegas soon.

I have to share, tonight was different than most. I'm blown away by the professionalism and skill of the caliber of comedians they bring. Josh Adam Myers and his crew handled a very difficult table up front with grace and playfulness in a way that was next-level -- this group was very obviously uncomfortable with the edgier humor and seemed completely unaware of how their energy was affecting others in the room, let alone the comedians braving the stage and simply wanting to make people happy. Josh managed to turn what could have dampened the evening into an inspiring interplay with the audience--remarkable in how he kept the energy positive. It's a reminder that the way we carry ourselves can either uplift or dim the atmosphere around us. Also... he hangs out with Jelly Roll and has an amazing dog, so go support him and his posse at another show this weekend!

I came across JP's Comedy Club and was surprised that we were able to book tickets last minute, so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. I've been to the Tempe Improv before and have enjoyed it, but I have to admit that the last time I went, I thought the comedian was terrible. It honestly kind of spoiled comedy for me for a while, so I wasn't sure what to expect going into JP's. Our tickets were free through the app, and there was no service charge, which was a huge plus. There is a two-drink minimum per person, but even with that, it ended up being cheaper than the Improv because there was no service fee. The biggest surprise was how consistently funny everyone was that night. They had multiple comedians come out, and it wasn't one of those shows where you have a few funny moments here and there. Every comedian was genuinely funny, and the entire lineup was consistently entertaining. This was my first time at JP's, but I have to say my first impression was amazing. I even talked to a woman afterward who had been there five times, so I'm hoping what we experienced is the norm! My boyfriend and I had such a great time, and we definitely plan on going back. I'm really glad we decided to give JP's a shot!

I was happy to see him make a stop in AZ and was excited to get tickets. Prices were fair and easy to purchase online with will call pickup at the door - alphabetized by last name. We found parking nearby and there seems to be plenty of it (personally I would avoid any paid lots and stick to the free ones). The club itself is small and intimate; we were sat at the table right in front of the stage next to another party, but thankfully with a chair buffer in between us. I'm guessing when the tix sell out, it would be more crowded. They do have booths in the back for vip seating. I love that there's no drink minimum here and that complimentary cold water is served. I tried a slice of one of the pizzas and I liked it, it had shrimp, artichoke, olives and other toppings. Service was friendly and available. It was nice to have options to choose from, from salad to pizza to appetizers. I appreciate that they were not strict about a menu item minimum tonight. That actually had me more motivated to order! I decided to try the Caesar salad. Unfortunately I didn't love it. The romaine was fresh and crunchy but there was too much dressing and didn't love the glamour so only ate about half. Server was so sweet and attentive. She was really lovely. One thing that was very off-putting was the both behind ours. The group there was so loud. One woman in particular seemed intoxicated and talked loudly u to her friends throughout the show. She made multiple very rude and profane comments towards others guests and the comedian. I would have really appreciated seeing staff/management address this, out of respect for the performers and guests. I observed several guests look back at the loud table multiple times throughout the night given ongoing distraction so just a bit disappointing that this went unchecked. Nevertheless staff were very friendly and kind.

Drunk Pirates is the offspring of the Drunken Shakespeare Society based out of downtown Phoenix in the Arizona Center. Find the parking valet on the west-facing block and look for the red door and the line. Once inside, you are sat in a "theater in the round setting" that holds around 75 people, so there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. You are greeted with a shot of blue curaçao as you prepare for the evening. For this iteration of the show, you are told the story of Treasure Island with a parody and improv twist. The actors are supremely friendly, funny, and approachable before and after the show, but when the show begins is where they really shine. As you can guess from the name, there are ample opportunities for crowd work, crowd participation, and improv games with pop culture references aplenty. Now for the four-star review. If anyone from the show reads this, I would say my biggest critique comes from the projection and pacing of the dialogue delivery. At many points through the evening, it was hard to hear punchlines either through the volume of the delivery or articulation. Another critique came from those sitting next to us, that I happen to agree with. A guy next to us was explaining to his friends that throughout the show, one of the actors would be the designated drinker and would be taking shots the entire performance. His party was disappointed when the actor took six shots the entire hour. I don't think we expected the guy to get commode hugging plastered, but we all hoped some bad decisions would be made and slips of the tongue would occur à la Drunk History style. At the end of the day, we had a great night and laughed a lot, and that's what we looked forward to. There are lots of cocktail drinks and not a lot of food options, so eat before you go. They also don't validate, so grab some Coldstone ice cream on the way out!

We arrived about a half hour early so we could be seated together. On our last visit, the service was pretty slow, so this time we were hoping to get our drink and food orders in right away to make sure everything arrived before the show started. Our group noticed that the menu prices are definitely on the higher side, but it is what it is. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. For drinks, we had a mix of beers, wine, and cocktails. For food, we ordered the nachos with no protein, cauliflower bites, wings, and chicken tenders. Our server was really nice, but he definitely seemed overwhelmed. The nachos arrived pretty quickly, well before our drinks, and the chicken tenders came next. The wings and cauliflower bites arrived about 15 minutes later... and we were still waiting on our drinks. Those finally showed up after the wings. I totally understand that it gets extremely busy with everyone trying to get their food and drinks before the show, but we definitely would have preferred to have our drinks arrive before or at least during the beginning of our meal. The nachos were a little difficult to eat because of the way they're served. They come stacked really high on a small rectangular tray. I'm guessing this is designed to save table space since the tables are pretty small, but I think a larger tray where the nachos could be spread out would make them much easier to eat. The wings were great! Our table did half Buffalo and half garlic Parmesan, and it was nice that they were able to split the order between two different sauces. The chicken tenders were just okay and unfortunately weren't very hot when they came out. The comedian was great, and we had so many laughs. One thing we did notice was that the neon sign on the stage was half burned out. Come on, guys!!! Get that fixed! Even the comedian noticed it and made a joke about it during the show. Overall, we really enjoy having a comedy club right here in Desert Ridge. Despite the slower service and a few food issues, it's always a fun evening out with friends. A few tweaks and it could be so much better!

Women were extremely drunk, and a lot of men were becoming aggressive. No organization as to how we were supposed to line up, or stand. A lot of shit talking about people feeling like others were cutting them in line, yet no clear instructions on how to line up if you didn't have a wristband of blue or yellow. Ushered into the comedy room and put in a booth which was nice and close to the stage. Told again about the 2 drink mininum. My spouse and I ordred 1 alchoholic beverage each, and 1 soda each. What I like is that for each performer they typically will have a specialty cocktail designed around that actual comedian. So I like that approach. I usually like to catch the early show cause the crowd vibe is a little bit chiller. However, I've never had an issue at this establishment and will continue to catch my favorite comedians here. As I do think they extent a diverse roster of comedians. The last time that we attended, we actually ordered some food. And I really enjoyed the wings. I thought they did a really good job on the buffalo wings and the sauce was very tangy and the wings were fried hard as requested. The $21.95 Nachos or the $8 Diet Coke? My bad, the nachos are only $17.95, the extra $4 was for guacamole. My bill was $41 for just me at a single table. They had an earlier show at 4pm and it made the bday weekend special- yes, aware that sounds old. At 40 and as early-birds... if it doesn't happen before 5- it's a hard pass!! Ironically this was definitely noted in his act having a 4pm show! After parking and getting lost in the parking garage- yeah, we don't make it into the city much but we got a couple flights of stairs in for no apparent reason that would later benefit the additional IPAs we drank during the show ‍ I loved that we got sat right in front next to the stage. Before I go anywhere I look into reviews on Yelp and Google to see the do/donts, and deals/tricks. Yes, plan to get comfy with your neighbor- they sit parties across from one another. As a party of two we sat next to another couple and so on. I'll admit, I'm not a size zero and my husband is 6'5- it was a bit uncomfortable. I can't imagine being on the thicker side or even an elder managing to get out and maneuver around seated patrons to go to the restroom and what not. We knew the two drink minimum would be required so we opt for the beer bucket that included six beers of your choice mix/match accordingly. Worked out great since they had Church Music and we shared an order of wings as we had dinner plans later. Service was great! Our server checked on us multiple times throughout the show. Reviews mention that it gets hot in there since they pack everyone in. It was freezing and I didn't take my jacket. I would've went back to the car to get it but it's a walk and we got lost on the way in lol. In Arizona businesses overcompensate during the summer and you'll find you wear your jacket more in the summer months inside than during the winter. Parking is free- just make sure you take your ticket with you and they'll scan it. We will definitely be back- yes, drinks are overpriced and tickets were reasonable. As for the show- not bad. Great laughs carried throughout and it's always dependent on the act which should be a separate review from the venue. Looking forward to more date nights in the city for sure!

Unfortunately no photos as it was a special event with Jamie Foxx…read more I love comedy clubs and was so happy to find this and be lucky enough to grab tickets! Seating was pretty decent and the menu was pretty good too. I chose the parm fries and OMG YES. High in price but delicious Also grabbed the special drink upgrade to get the free tickets. Of course I was too drunk when I left and forgot! Lol I went back here recently and grabbing them wasn't too bad. Not bad at all, I had my receipt and apparently this happens often lol Can't wait to become a regular here, yes I will drive from CG because it's that much fun
