My friend and I took the beginning crochet class with Angelica. We both had experience knitting but wanted to try crochet. The class was 4 hours over 2 Mondays. The fee $75, included a skeen of cotton yarn. We needed to provide our own hooks. The project we were making was a headband. Only one person completed it. The first day there were 8 students and the instructor had an aide. If there hadn't been an aide I feel there would have been too many students for a beginners class. Some of the students demanded a lot of the instructor's time. It was difficult to get clarification. The second day there were only 5 of us and just the instructor. The instructor had to spend a lot of time with a couple of students but she was more available on this day. She helped me with my stitches and showed us how they could be used in projects. Her one-on-one demonstrations were critical to my learning. I give 5 stars for Angelica, her knowledge, teaching ability and patience. I think $75 was high for the value. read more

They are so welcoming! I went shortly after the Bay Area Yarn Crawl. It was busy but they were able to help me. They had a little raffle wheel and beautiful violin music. It was a place I hope to get back in to see. Customer Service was incredible. Even told me friend to purchase a special bag to get a better discount! Love that we have this store close to home. They have cute stuff and lots of different yarns. Yarn selection is definitely much better than Michaels... They carry cute stich markers, yarn holders, lots of crochet/knitting needles, crafts kits, and knitting/crochet books. I love looking at every little thing there whenever I visit. They also have classes for both adults and children. I did not try the classes cause I was already a crocheter and I took up knitting during Covid, but I am glad they have these classes. There is just something about being in a yarn store where there are a group of people just sitting, talking, and making things... Another plus, owner is super nice. Very helpful but never pushy. Sometimes the hubby and kids are helping out in the store too. All in all, visiting this store always lifts up my spirit! read more

Visited this shop for 2026 BAYCrawl- absolutely lovely! Such a wide variety of yarn weights, materials, and colors! Looking around, everything felt carefully curated. Especially appreciative of them having curated tools and yarns for both knit and crochet; I rarely find "nicer" yarns suitable for crochet, and they had a selection of MANY colors for cotton amigurumi. The shop employees were so kind and helpful, eager to be there. The shop owner was working the register too, wearing the cutest frog headband, and quite obviously excited to be running the shop. Everything about this store is perfect from the owner and her hubby who are so nice, to the big selection of really pretty and reasonably priced yarn. I walked into the store and the owner, Sanjani immediately escorted me to what I wanted and helped me choose the colors. Then Sanjani sat me down and showed me different colors that should could special order. It was so helpful. I'm a newish knitter and Sanjani knew just what I needed. For the past two years, I've been obsessed with knitting, and I found a community here in Livermore. Stitch and Revel is a new store, and it has everything I love yarn, knitting, and a strong, friendly fiber community. It's only been open for about a month, but they already have a large craft space and host three knit-alongs each week (Thursday night, Saturday, and Sunday), where you can meet other people who love fiber arts. Sanjani, the owner, also runs the fiber meetup at the Livermore Library and is very focused on being welcoming to everyone and creating a real sense of community. This month alone, she's hosting a Stitch Witch Soirée, a movie night at The Vine, and a book club. If you live in the area like me, you're lucky to have this as your local yarn store it feels like there are so many fun events and things planned. If you're visiting, definitely check them out, even just to say hello or browse their yarn. They have a great variety of indie dyers and bigger brands, with yarn at different price points.
