This is hands down one of my favorite coffee shops I've visited while on vacation. I'm from Seattle, so I've definitely had my fair share of great coffee spots, and this place absolutely compares. The shop has a beautiful river view and also offers really cute boutique-style gift items for purchase, which added to the overall charm. I came here twice a day during my trip, and every afternoon I treated myself to an iced mocha and they honestly have the best iced mocha I've ever had from a coffee shop. To top it all off, they make their own homemade whipped cream, which was amazing. I only had a couple minor issues during my visits. One time, the barista seemed a little distracted and left the espresso shot sitting on top of the milk a bit too long, so it tasted slightly burnt. It was still enjoyable though. Another small thing was that one of the employees who rang me up a few times wasn't especially friendly. Neither issue was enough to dock any stars because overall this place was wonderful. Looks like the only coffee shop in Florence, but service was great, you have a nice waterfront view, and there's a seating area inside and outside. I heard that the mochas were great and so I got a snickers mocha with oat milk- it was good and had the perfect amount of sweetness. There was a small line but it was bustling inside. read more

River Roasters was one of the few spots that had extended hours for Fourth of July so we decided to get some drinks around 8pm before watching the fireworks in downtown Florence! The place was packed and we waited in line to order for about 10-15 minutes. I got the mango smoothie with whipped cream and my friend got peppermint tea. Mango smoothie (3.5/5): Good portion size. The smoothie was very sweet and it had a watery consistency - tasted more like mango juice rather than a smoothie. I think a prepackaged mango base was used instead of fresh fruit which was understandable considering how crowded the store was. Still enjoyed it! Friend liked her peppermint tea! What a cute little area with shops and restaurants surrounding this coffee shop! There's a lovely patio with a beautiful view of the river. When we walked in, we expected just a regular coffee shop, but it was much more than that. Inside, there were charming little knickknacks to browse or buy, adding a unique touch to the experience. My husband had the blended mocha while I ordered the white chocolate mocha with espresso whipped cream on top, which was delicious. Just a heads-up, the indoor area isn't pet-friendly, but there are two small tables out front where you could probably sit with your dog if needed. Will definitely come back! read more

Discovered this place within walking distance from our hotel. It's definitely a local favorite , where the staff know the regulars name. Inside it's warm with a wood burning stove and giant windows to look out on the water . We even saw sea otters one morning . The coffee is great and they have a little shopping area as well. I stopped by the roasters this afternoon. I was by myself and there was no one else in line. The server came to the front and said she would be right with me and walked away. I turned around and was looking at some other merchandise on the another customer came in and the server immediately took her order and got her while I still waited. The server my order and I paid for my drink and went to the area to wait. As I was standing there waiting, a gentleman walked in and apparently did not order anything, but stood there and talked with the server for several minutes as I waited. Finally, when he left, she turned and looked at me and then proceeded to get my drink for me. I thought she was very rude, and I have never been treated this way in this establishment before I won't be going back even though I'm a local and have recommended this place to my looking back. You can't beat the coffee or the view from River Roasters. The absolute best way to start the day in Old Town Florence we always must stop for coffee here. Handcrafted coffee beverages are fine. With a comfortable fireplaces seating inside seating area we still head to the river side deck for coffee with the herons, egrets, cormorants and others. We got up early to get our morning coffee. It makes a difference when you're staying downtown. A half a block walk and we were at River Roasters. It's one of the shops we love the most here in Florence. There is no shortage of cute keep sakes, plenty of things you "need " and don't need but buy anyway. Those who serve you are always kind and very hospitable. We order a Slider - Mocha w. Vanilla Vanilla and Vanilla latte. Both drinks were hot and well made perfect blending. You can leave without grabbing something to eat. We bought a walnut apple fritter and a classic maple bar. We walked home and popped them in the microwave. Heated they were fantastic down to their very last bites. Love the home town feel when you hang out at River Roasters. Do yourself a favor and get down here and enjoy all the special things they have. A bonus: when I opened my Yelp app at the shop a coupon popped up for $1 off any specialty coffee. What cute coffee shop! Coffee was delicious. My husband had a half decaf half regular pour over. It was so smooth and delicious. I had a matcha latte which was also perfectly done. My husband had their apple fritter and let me tell you it was soooooo good! And so was their bacon Gouda scone. Loved the scone because it was just a tiny bit sweet which is what I like.
