I brought a casual denim dress to be shortened. I asked for a quote and wasn't provided one because she said she didn't know how much work would need to be done. I picked up the dress today and the tailoring was $45. I have paid that for a multi-layer bridesmaid dress to be shortened. The work is fine, it was finished on time, but it was much more expensive than I was expecting and they weren't able to give me a quote ahead of time. Especially because there are other tailors within walking distance, I probably won't be returning as it's too expensive and they weren't able to give me a quote in advance. read more

Cannot recommend enough! I was going to a wedding on a Friday so the Monday before I was trying on the dress and of course the zipper broke! I took it to Stitch N Ready Tuesday around 5pm and initially they said it would take a week to replace the zipper. When I told them I would need it by Friday they told me they would try and have it done Thursday and would text me. By the next day (wed) at 2pm they had contacted me to let me know it was finished! I just used this spot for the first time after reading great reviews -- I had a fancy full length dress in like-new condition that I've had for almost 15 years. It needed an update -- narrowing the fabric of the skirt (total of 8 inches between 2 seams!), adding a leg slit, and having cups put in. The folks at Stitch N Ready were kind and made wonderful decisions about how to make it look best. They quoted about 7-10 days and it was ready in under 4.
