Asked for a landscaping job at my home. They assessed the site once and never returned. Not even a phone call.

Poor selection, high prices for the quality, and staff were not helpful. I hadn't been there before today and I won't go back.

I was concerned about the low yelp rating but I spoke to the woman at the counter and she assured me that they are much better with the new manager. I ordered bouquets for the 2 nurses at our day program ( nurses week). I was not overcharged, they delivered on-time and the bouquets were absolutely beautiful!! This florist did not disappoint. Unfortunatelly there is not a NO STAR rating. Our son sent these flowers to my wife for mother's day. First off they arrived on Monday AFTER Mothers Day. The delivery person was trying to put the flowers back in the vase while she was standing at the front door with my wife waiting to take the delivery. As you can see from the pictures taken 5 minutes after delivery the flowers are already dying or dead. Looks like they picked them off a grave or something. Stobbarts used to be great back in the 'day' but now the place is falling apart and looks like a junk yard. They should NOT be part of the FTD network! Run don't walk away from this place. Go to Judy's Village Flowers in Foxboro MA, much much better. read more

Went there today with my wife to buy a weeping Cherry tree. No one knew anything about these and said were white while tag shows pink. Then a call came in from a soldier in Afghanistan who wanted a plant delivered to his mom today. I offered to do it since they couldn't insure that it would arrive. I was ignored 3 times by the clerk. Finally another customer said "this man is talking to you" to which she replied "I know I heard him". Needless to say we left without purchasing the tree. read more

The arrangement I ordered for my fiancée's birthday was beautiful and elegant. I actually placed the order two months prior since I live out of town. We condo has a contract with them for snow removal and landscaping. Their snow removal is a joke. They often use the wrong equipment and sometimes walk away because the driveway was too hard to plow. All our lawns are balding with no grass seeds being filled in. And then there is the relentless noise of their mowing machines where they make fifteen trips around my condo at two different parts of the day! I can't thank you enough for the beautiful floral arrangement you made up for my parent's grave site in honor of their 77th wedding anniversary. Not only did you do it on the same day but then you were kind enough to place it at the grave site. I ordered a plant for delivery, not even close to what I had ordered...I emailed them pictures of what was ordered and what was delivered and ask them to please fix this in some way and to please get back to me. So I come into this place and the sprinkler is shooting all over the place and there's a girl just sitting there poking at the flowers doesn't ask me if she can help me and then when I ask her to turn the water off she goes and turns it off and leaves and doesn't come back. My friend's aunt passed away and I had placed an order with Stobbarts online to be sent to my friend's home. Whenever I send flowers, I always ask the recipient to send me a picture to make sure they live up to my standards. I am pretty picky when it comes to flowers as some places do not put in ANY effort into making them. Stobbarts is one of those companies... When I ordered the arrangement, it was supposed to come with beautiful white roses, lillies, smaller white flowers (like baby's breath) and some greenery accents. I was utterly shocked when my friend sent me a picture showing me what she received. Granted, she didn't know what arrangement I sent, but it looked like a 2 year old put it together. It had NONE of the flowers in the online description, and it was mostly all greenery. The arrangement had hydrangeas, wildflowers and ferns. It looked hideous. I was so embarrassed to even have my name on the card. I called Stobbarts immediately and asked to speak to the owner (they weren't in). I expressed how disappointed I was in the SYMPATHY arrangement I sent and was only told "I'm sorry..." The associate took down my number and assured me the manager would be in tomorrow and they would call me then. The next day came and I didn't receive a phone call so I called back on my own. I spoke with the most rude associate I've ever spoken to in my life. She wouldn't let me finish a sentence without cutting me off. After I stated that I was disappointed and these flowers were supposed to be for someone who is grieving, she again cut me off saying "so what do you want? A refund?" She apparently issues a refund, but it's been 3 days and I still haven't seen it hit my credit card. I will never order from them ever again. Buyer beware! If you're looking for a florist, I highly recommend Sunnyside Gardens in Hopkinton. They did a BEAUTIFUL job for a funeral arrangement I ordered a few months ago. read more

Ordered Valentine's Day flowers for my Mother. They never arrived even after calling on Valentine's Day afternoon to complain they hadn't arrived. They of course said that they tried to deliver, "but no one was home". I spoke with my Mother and she was home all day. What's the reason for taking phone numbers on the order? When I contacted this morning, the attitude was, "we're human and make mistakes", no remorse or attempt to make it right other than wanting to deliver the flowers the day after for full price. I swore off stobarts years ago after previous poor service and quality product. I've bought rose that were dead the next day, and I always found the staff very rude. Yesterday while looking for a plant, I decided to give them another shot. The woman answered the phone with half the word "obbarts", and while I spend a second figuring out what she said she hung up (under 2 seconds total). I repeated "hello" into the phone for a moment until realizing she hung up. I sat there laughing and shaking my head. Good riddance, I'm done. read more

I am sorry to say that I have never written a poor review for anyone however I feel this incident needs to be shared as I cannot believe the unprofessionalism I encountered with my experience. I ordered 25 red roses for my boss to be delivered same day to his wife at their home for their 25th anniversary. He lives locally less than 5 miles from Stobbarts. When calling at about 11:30am, I specifically asked if they could be delivered the same day and was told that they could be. I provided 2 contact phone numbers. Both my boss's and my own. I was provided a total amount charged to my boss's credit card. At about 5:30pm I received a call from my boss. He had arrived home and here were no flowers delivered yet. I immediately phoned Stobbarts and a very nice young gentleman answered the phone. When I asked about the delivery, he replied that someone had tried to deliver earlier in the day but they were not able to find the location. I asked why we had not been contacted but he did not know why. Neither my boss nor I had received a phone call letting us know of this. I asked what could be done and he offered to deliver them as soon as he closed up at 6pm. I provided both phone numbers again to him and while on the phone with him, he located the residence on his GPS and confirmed he knew where to deliver. I asked him to call either number if he had any issues and to please contact me once the delivery was made. He was very nice and genuinely concerned about getting the flowers delivered. At 6:00pm I received a call from this young man saying that his manager had told him not to deliver the flowers and that they would be delivered the next day. SHOCK. Needless to say, I found this unacceptable since it was an anniversary bouquet. I asked him if I could call the manger and he said she was busy and would not be picking up her cell phone. I asked him to please ask her to call me. I never received a call. This morning I phoned Stobbarts. The manager, Brandi picked up the phone. She said she was on another line taking an order and asked if she could call me back. I politely said yes. That was 15 minutes ago. I just received a call from Brandi who said that she never spoke to this employee yesterday after she left work at 2pm. She will refund the card payment. They will deliver the flowers today at no cost. In my opinion, it is nice of them to offer to deliver today but I still wonder about all that happened. Why weren't we contacted when they could not find a location? Two phone numbers were provided. Neither received a call. Why did the manager not allow them to be delivered last evening, even if it was late? Why did the manager not phone me directly to express her apologies? The young man was nice enough to communicate with me. Why would he make up a story? Too many things gone wrong to make any sense to me. You decide... I know I would never take the chance again myself. Follow-up: The flowers were delivered the following day at 5:00pm and the very nice 16 year old gentleman who delivered them called to let me know. Never heard again from management nor never received any type of genuine concern or apology other than from the young delivery boy. read more

A friend ordered flowers last week for Thanksgiving, we never received them. They said that they tried a few times to deliver the arrangement and they tried calling. Neither one was true. We had 11 people at our house and we didn't go anywhere between Wednesday afternoon thru Saturday evening. We didn't show any missed calls and they didn't leave any messages. Poor customer service. I just a saw a channel 7 news spot re: a woman who ordered flowers, for a funeral for her mother's burial from Stobbarts. They sent the flowers late; the flowers actually arrived minutes before the funeral was over. The style of flowers & color was not what the woman ordered. She repeatedly called Stobbarts after the fact looking for a refund and they would not work with her. That is when she got channel 7 involved, and then they were only able to get 50% of her money back. The people at Stobbarts are horrific. Stay away!! I was horrified watching this news spot. We will never use Stobbarts Nurseries again. We ordered 2 cords of wood from them but they delivered only one and tried to pass it off as two. When we complained, they came and took the wood back, said they would reimburse us but have not yet done so after 2 weeks and multiple phone calls. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy! read more

Absolutely Terrible. I ordered the Gourmet Riches Kosher Gift Basket for a dear friend due to a death in her family. I placed the order on Jan 17, 2019 and paid an extra $26.99 to have it delivered on the 18th. Needless to say the basket never got delivered until Thursday, Jan 25, 2019. The basket that my friend received wasn't even close to the basket I ordered online. It was the cheapest looking basket I have ever seen. It contained 8 small items none of which were even listed on the Gourmet Riches Kosher Gift Basket I ordered from their Website. Stobbarts told me the reason why it took so long to be delivered is because they left multiple notes on their door as well as phone calls that they were trying to deliver. All was a lie. They never once tried to contact my friend. I have sent them multiple emails on my disappointment and absolutely no responses back. I WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN. read more

Service and selection was poor. I went in on a Saturday to purchase flowers and when the florist started to put them together I noticed some were very wilted. I said these are for a special occasion and many in the bunch you have are wilted. She said I'll cut those off for you but it is Saturday and that's not the best time to be buying flowers. So I left and went to the florist department of the local supermarket and they had fresh flowers on a Saturday. read more
