FAKEHARBOR already deducted funds from this charter, yet they don't refund the customer with the same timeliness, even though they were never given permission to take my money. My Council will be going after Your Island Charter for my refund, plus interest and attorney's fees (and other), because I never authorized them to use a third FAKEHARBOR to take funds from my credit card, leaving me to continue paying interests on said funds.

Our captain was short on fishing rods and tackle. In fairness, this was only a 4 hour charter (at $600+tip) and the weather was 3-4 feet but we pay these guys for their knowledge, to put you on fish and navigate/back up plans for choppy seas.

That's irrelevant. This review is about my experience, and your inability to take responsibility for what was objectively a misrepresented charter. Let's clarify a few things: You never spoke to me directly because you were communicating with my senior producer, who was acting on my behalf with clear direction, expectations, and context. This is how professionals delegate in business, and her communication was precise, informed, and well-documented. You were explicitly told which boat we had previously chartered (a true luxury vessel) and what standards we expected. That included pricing, service expectations, amenities, and that we were bringing our own catering. You confirmed that the boat you offered was the "closest match" and justified charging the same premium rate. Not once did you or your representative communicate that this vessel had: No interior bathrooms No interior cabin No professional setup Or a DJ on board, which we never approved And yes, the charter "went out"--because we had 20+ executives in Key West expecting an event. What did you expect us to do? Turn back? That doesn't make it a success. We did not book last minute. In fact, we inquired over 30 days out, which in the event production world is perfectly reasonable--especially when you present yourself as a broker with industry knowledge. Instead of saying, "nothing in that class is available," you positioned this charter as comparable. That's not last-minute planning. That's deceptive sales. And finally, the idea that the group "had fun" is a laughable deflection. They were kind, they made the most of it, and they were also disappointed, confused, and asking why this experience was so different from the last--because that's not what we sold them. I stand by my review. The experience was substandard, the service was misrepresented, and your unwillingness to take any real accountability only reinforces it.
