The guest rooms are very welcoming and comfortable which made us feel as if we were transported back in time to grandmas house. There was juice and fresh hot coffee and tea which was served it most beautiful tea cups that I wish I had taken a pic of. Oh and there's a great little pool in the backyard!

All I can say is that I have never never never encountered as nice of a place - and as nice of hosts, than at Granville House. We were lucky enough to score a room here during the 2021 holiday season and we took it without high expectations - but holy snowflake Batman! This place is amazing! And I had the pleasure of meeting both owners and connecting as nice easy going human beings. What a find! Our first night was especially special because we got a size-able snowfall! So I spent quite a bit of time downstairs by the fireplaces, playing billiards, listening to vinyl records, and under the front porch space heaters. Magical is a word I might use but it's inadequate. I think I prefer transcendental. I tend to give emphatic reviews seldom - only when a place really impresses me (or disappoints me). All I can say about this place is please don't book the nights I want next year!! And in the meantime - go find out what you are missing!!

The hosts, Terri and Terry, are warm, friendly people who have impeccable taste and tremendous skill. The breakfasts are delicious, the home's decor is beautiful and characterful, and no detail has been overlooked in ensuring their guests' comfort. On my most recent visit, I dropped a diamond ring in the sink. Terri went above and beyond to dismantle the sink and recover my ring. Truly fabulous people delivering an unmatched guest experience!

West Stockbridge is just a few miles from Stockbridge as well as many other things to do & explore in the area. There are several restaurants, an ice cream store and coffee roaster within walking distance of the Inn. Our room was lovely (Tanglewood room) on the first floor - which was nice with our dog. Every room has a patio/balcony where you can sit out and have coffee, wine or read. The innkeepers were so nice & have thought of just about everything. From bathrobes to dog biscuits. It's non-contact check-in, checkout & breakfast. Breakfast is left in your room the day before. Milk/juice, yogurt, fruit/scone or quiche, pastries. And really good coffee/machine - from the local coffee roaster. The grounds are beautiful with gardens. There is a short path in back into the woods - but as John (innkeeper) said - beware of poison ivy. There was also a neat trail nearby that John told us about, with unique sculptures to discover along the way.

Doug and Jim go above and beyond with their hospitality always with a smile and friendly gesture. Jim's breakfast desserts are phenomenal and the Happy Hour with live music is superb with Doug and Jim both lending their voices to entertain guests in collaboration with a pianist that truly brings back the concept of Parlor music into the 21st century. The musical ambiance at breakfast is also reminiscent of my own playlists, with a mix of classical, new age, and soft instrumental listening. The historic inn retains much of its charm with original details throughout - truly a step into New England country charm. My partner, now fiancée, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it will forever be memorable as our engagement destination. We are looking forward to returning for many years to come!

The owners, Joanne and Jim Conroy, could not have been more welcoming, arranging the Rose Room with an extra cot for my youngest daughter and serving us an absolutely delicious breakfast each day. We feasted on fresh fruit and orange juice, coffee/tea, yogurt with granola and home made nut pancakes, quiche, and just out of the oven muffins. The conversation with various guests from countries like Belgium and Germany was wonderful. A rolling outdoor lawn was a fabulous spot for a picnic lunch. All in all, we can't wait to come again to visit local favorites such as Naumkeag, The Divine Mercy Chaplet, Tanglewood, The Rockwell Museum, and so much more. An all season destination, come to Conroys, hands down better than any hotel! Five star!
