Dealing with this store has been the worst experience- a total nightmare. 11/6/23 salesman insisted cash payment for a dishwasher which we purchased for over $900. A month later we never heard from Stohrer we called several times but no one answers the phone no way of leaving a message. We want to the store 4 times with no satisfaction no assistance no dishwasher. We finally went to the store & refused to leave until our money was refunded. While we were there another customer came in with the same problem. Don't waste your time. Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, Stohrer's would earn this rating. In September, we were quoted by Dave the salesperson, 2 weeks for a new washer and dryer. After about a month and a half, we stopped by and reached out multiple times to check on our delivery status. We were promised that he would "get back to us that day." Nothing! Thank goodness for Bill who took the reins and delivered the floor model of the washer. After 3 months we are still waiting for the washer, but we know this will never be delivered. A few weeks ago, Dave promised, for about the 10th time, to get back to us. Nothing! The only reason we bought from Stohrer's was because of the, now we know it was bogus, time frame we were given. Buyers, save yourself some stress and go to Palumbo's down the road! read more

Buyer beware....I paid $200 for 5year extended warranty that salesman said I should have on my Scottsman Ice maker. Fast forward 4 years and I need service, but Stroher' refuses to honor warranty. I spent about $25k on appliances with them....never again. read more

Dave is the worse salesman ever. just bought a washer and dryer two weeks ago. both are not working properly. Not happy with Maytag. my husband went to the store to tell Dave about the issues we have and he put up his hand and said I don't want to hear about it. you have to call Maytag. He is rude and nasty. I purchased a dishwasher in Sept 2021. I was told that it would be a long wait due to supply issues,which was fine. Upon installation in April 2022, the front panel was dented. I was told by the installers that they would notify Bosch and that "Bosch would contact me directly timeframe unknown". I waited 2 1/2 months and called Stohrer's. Spoke to someone directly in customer service who said she'd get back to me and never did. I called Tom (owner/‍manager) the following week and left a detailed voicemail. NO response. Very poor customer service. I'll not purchase another item from them;I thought I was doing the right thing and supporting a local business. read more

I bought a new refrigerator from them and they delivered it May 29th. I'm still waiting for them to finish setting it up. Also I'm waiting for my refund from an over payment of $249.00. Have called them 2 times a week but know one seems to care about me. Would never buy from them again. read more

Terrible experience. This appliance store has the worst customer service EVER and I would never recommend them to anyone. A few months ago, we purchased a dishwasher from them as ours had broken and we were told we could get quick delivery/installation. Upon delivery the installation on the new one was done PRIOR to mentioning that they had "forgotten" the bottom face plate at the warehouse. We were told that they'd get the faceplate to us but refused to commit to WHEN that would happen or scheduling a time. We were told that they were "in the area from time to time". There was also some damage to the control panel and we were told a replacement would be ordered. Because it was already installed, we agreed but were left with the feeling that we had been "had" and we would never hear from them. Unfortunately, this was the case!!! After a week I phoned the store to ask when the face plate would be brought. The sales staff could/would not help with an answer and directed us to leave a message for the "service specialist". We did so multiple times and never had a return call. The sales staff then promised we'd hear back that within an hour. Never happened!! By then, the message on the customer specialist line had changed to indicate that the mailbox was full and we concluded that there was no such person. At that point, I told them that I was coming to the store to pick up the face plate and would install it myself. They countered that they couldn't guarantee when it would be brought from the warehouse. Finally, I told them I was coming the next morning and expected it to be there. The staff person asked that I phone first to check with him that it was there. I did so only to be told that it was his day off and no one knew anything about the problem. I told them that I was coming to the store and expected them to figure it out. Only when I insisted did the staff person look around for the part and found one laying on someone's desk unmarked. I needed. I took it and thankfully was able to install it myself. We never heard anything from them regarding the replacement for the damaged control panel (it's been 8 months). AVOID THIS STORE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH A NIGHTMARE!!!! read more

I've never had service like I had at Stohrers appliance. Woke up to a 2 yr old whirlpool broken washer. Walked into Stohrers at 12:40 and ordered a new speed queen washing machine. They had it delivered by 1:30!!! (And I live 15 min away)! They were so so nice, price was much cheaper than the speed queen website, and everyone was lovely. Shop small! Definitely returning and never going to Lowe's again. They also told me why my other one broke (bc Lowe's delivery didn't install it right!). read more

Our old dryer broke and we called Stohrer's to replace it and they came same day with a temporary replacement and then delivered our new dryer in a few days. The service was professional and it was a great experience. read more

Basically told my mother not once but twice how the customers who come from new york for the summer get more priority than a local. She waited three weeks for them to contact her with information about purchasing a stove. She called and each time was always met with a lame excuse, how the New Yorkers were down and they had to get priority. SHE started this process with them well before Memorial Day, when they inundate the shore for the summer. Why did they get ahead of my mother? Maybe they just don't like doing business with women? Isn't that illegal? She told them she had NO STOVE to cook on and she's a Senior citizen. They could not have cared less. Rather than feel like a stalker she gave up. Now she has to start over from scratch after waiting, waiting and waiting for three weeks. She thought she was doing the right thing by supporting a local Mom and Pop store rather than a big box store. But what's the point of supporting the local businesses when the businesses treat the locals like garbage? Anyone who does business with these imbeciles must be insane. This was our first time dealing with Stohrer's Appliances and I must admit it was a pleasant experience right from the first contact which was our salesman David who was very understanding with our needs and assisted us in the right direction, his patience and knowledge of product was most welcoming. This great experience followed through with the other associates we dealt with such as Joanne when scheduling our delivery she was accommodating with the day and most helpful with time frame of expected drop off, not to mention the professional deliverymen Billy and Ron who were courteous and neat when setting up our purchases. My husband and myself to date are very happy we chose this establishment for our full line of kitchen appliances we hope the expectations we experienced so far will remain if or when any concerns should arise in the future. read more

Bought a GE kitchen package and my experience was great. Forget Home Depot, these guys know what they are selling and install was flawless.

Their sales team make a big fuss about how they have their own service techs, but for two years when I've called for service they say they're in between Techs and they're very fussy about who they hire. I think its all crap, they don't stand behind their product. I will never buy from them again. read more
