I swear they put MDMA in their food. You leave this place so much happier than when you walk in. This is my absolute favorite place to eat. The food is exceptional and wonderful quality. The menu items are super creative and unlike other restaurants in the area. For what you pay, they are generous with portions. Whoever runs the kitchen deserves a kiss. We stopped in here for lunch with some family and was pleasantly surprised by the array of options on the menu, the quality and execution and the friendly service considering they were pretty busy. The tacos were all excellent that I was able to try, and while the $5.00 portion of chips and guacamole was outstanding, the guac had started to oxidize a pretty decent amount. The rest of my family all enjoyed their meals, but there was a slight hiccup with my son's meal coming out well after ours (as opposed to first, as you'd expect with a toddler). But overall, can't complain much at all, and it is definitely a spot I'd visit again, especially to try some of their beer! read more

The ramen bowls were spicy and delicious. The Thai peanut noodles had a kick, but also yummy! I come here once per year before the local veterans day marathon. Never had a bad experience before this year. This year was just bad planning by management to have a wedding event in the restaurant section while keeping the bar section open. Service was very slow that night. Did not have that issue on previous visits. I cknow the bar was maximizing revenue but should have brought in extra staff or just closed the bar section. Still good food and good beer selection. read more

I love this place! I've been here a few times and enjoyed it each visit. They put a twist on many classic menu items which keeps things interesting for foodies, yet you can still find tasty morsels for less adventurous folks. I'm usually only a beer drinker & not a fan of ciders or seltzers. Stone Bridge has opened my mind to moving outside the beer-only box. The mermaid seltzer is what made me pause and reconsider my stance. I love that you can get flights there, so sampling is made simple. Service can be spotty if they are busy, but everyone has been friendly. I love the atmosphere here and I'm excited beyond words to see a place like this in Johnstown. read more

I want to like this place because unfortunately they are one of the few places in this town that hold "events". With that being said, I've been here once or twice before. Nothing amazing. Beer is eh? Service is ok. Food, maybe a little better than ok? This past experience kinda of got me to actually make a review about this place. Just left their "oktoberfest" event. I got there around 530ish? Paid $20 at the tent to get in, got two beer tickets which was fine. We had come for the german food, drinks and events, so all good. The food was barely german, but i get it. It was an attempt. You had fried chicken tenders but didnt have schnitzle? No big deal. The drink menu was more of a fall menu than an oktoberfest menu. The band? Lead singer dressed for oktoberfest with the whole get up which was funny. The rest of the band wasnt. The music was from 2000's top 40. So at the end, i asked the bartender when the events were gonna happen, the keg roll, beer glass hold, etc. They said it happened earlier in the day. While we were there for not even an hour, they stopped collecting cover. I asked why did i pay a cover if all the events were over and the bartender asked me when i got there, i said not even an hour, he just shrugged, handed me my bill and walked away. Who knew, fun Asian fare at a local brewing company? Our food was SO tasty and just the right portions. Fun ambiance--industrial and bright. Just a couple tables inside but plenty of seating around the bar. A cooler full of their beers to go is available. We mostly did tacos--tuna, spam, and Korean beef. Korean beef were definitely my favorite, but loved the crispy wonton wheels for the other tacos! We shared orders so 3 orders seemed right for 2 people. My kids inhaled the burger and fries and I should have only ordered one between the two of them. We had ordered buttered pasta for one for them but the pepper was too heavy and made it too spicy. Our only complaint! I had the "Cheap Ass" beer and it was the perfectly light compliment to tacos. Will be back when we are in town! read more

Good service. Got seated at a small table for two but it worked. Definitely Pricey but good menu. Would recommend reservations as I didn't think we would need them but the place was pretty full. This way they had a table reserved for us. My husband didn't like his moscow mule and missed the copper mug they are usually Served in. Loved my spicy chicken taco special. Would order it again. It is amazing to see Johnstown thriving in terms of adding new and exciting things around the area. Sometimes they are hard to find and well hidden, but not Stone Bridge. My sisters have been talking about this place a lot recently and after a week where work drained me they convinced me to join them for a night out. Stone Bridge is located in downtown Johnstown. Almost directly across from the post office. Parking can be tricky, there is some on street parking and people seem to take the liberty to park in a lot across the street, although I'm fairly certain that they do not own the lot. Unfortunately, there isn't much around here that remains open after a certain point. This comes off more like a destination place to hangout, can't really do a bar crawl unless you have a DD. Moving forward. There is some outdoor seating for the warmer weather, if you are lucky to partake in it. Some people seem to think that they can rearrange the tables to accommodate themselves and all the people they may know that won't show up. All the chairs will be taken by these rearrangements and not be used. Or you will have two people take a table meant for those that rearranged. So don't think you will be sitting outside, because you won't. Inside is actually small, but you have to remember first and foremost this is place is a bar. If you wanted spacious, go to a restaurant with an attached bar. There are stools around the bar itself as well as a counter that lines the wall with stools there as well. There were a few high top tables around as well. We were able to find a seat at the bar and were greeted right away by the bartender. I needed a minute to figure out what I wanted. Check out the television screens around and they let you know what is on tap. After staring at the screen for what felt like an eternity. I went with a Cheap Ass beer. No, literally that is the beer's name, Cheap Ass. Even though the name makes you think otherwise, it was quite the good beer. So good I had a couple of them before I ended up leaving. Making your way to the bathroom here is a bit awkward. It is like a maze to get to the bathroom. If I may say, this seems like a waste of space that could have been used to expand the floorplan to allow for more table tops and space for patrons to move about. Maybe moving forward they will look into opening up the space. There are growlers available for purchase. Loads of people seem to have them and come in here to take their libation of choice home with them. Aside from their take on beer, they do a take on seltzers as well. Definitely worth checking out if you find yourself in the downtown Johnstown area. read more

Made a stopover here on the way through the state, hoping to find some stuff to do/eat in town. Unfortunately most of the area was closed on Sunday afternoon, except this brewery which had plenty of seating available inside. Several items are on draft and the food menu has some interesting items. Decided on the Poutine ($12) to go along with the Hazy River IPA ($7?). Beer comes out first, an almost sweet haze lots of hops. Poutine comes out shortly after - a large pile.of crispy fries topped with gravy, cheese curds, and cheese crumbles. Curds are chewier/colder than expected, but the rest of the dish was easy to eat. Food/ambiance was four stars, bumped up to 5 due to the phenomenal service. Our waitress took care of all the various tables, plus phone orders, and delivered the food without skipping a beat. Glad we stopped by and hope this place does well in the future. read more

I love to try local spots when I travel and Stone Bridge is no exception. We came for a late lunch, some thoughts: *Love that there is an indoor/outdoor bar seating area. The door between them was closed when we were there, but on nice weather days, this is a fun idea *Dogs welcome at outdoor seating - yay *We ordered 2 of the bowls - korean pork and ahi tuna. The pork bowl was pretty good - I liked the flavors but the pork was a tad over cooked. The ahi tuna wasn't as good as I expected but I also come from a costal town so maybe that's an unfair judgement of landlocked tuna *Their beer is fine. We tried the hazy ipa and the jalapeno triple. The triple was spicy, and i love spicy, but not in a good way? Felt more like it was going to upset my stomach than anything else. The space inside is really cute! I'd love to come back and try the full kitchen menu, I love that this place and the sister establishment is trying to up the food game in johntown. read more

First time here and it was great! I highly recommend getting the Bacon Bleu Burger. I had it cooked medium and it was so good! I upgraded to the fries and those were great too. I had the Left Coast IPA and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back to eat here again. I want to try some other items on the menu. read more

They have seltzer alcohol slushies which a lot of people liked! The seating is mainly bar style and it's small. If you are looking for a sit down dinner with a family, this isn't your place. But tasty bar food and drinks to hang with friends, this is a good choice (if you can find a spot to stand)... we also had appetizers at Craft Kitchen attached to Stonebridge. We were in town to run a race and stopped in for a beer and something to eat. The bar area was definitely new and had a great ambiance. The beer selection was a good variety and the food was surprisingly good. We came back the next afternoon for a post run beer and lunch before heading home. We saw interesting glasses and found out they were a collaboration with other breweries and support veterans. Knowing that, we each bought one and took home a few cans. read more

Very friendly staff and an excellent burger. I was there on a Sunday in the late afternoon so it wasn't too crowded, only a few tables, but everyone seemed to be having a good time and was attentively taken care of by the limited staff. The beer was good. I only had tasters but enjoyed the brown, hazy IPA and sour. The stout and porter lacked the robust flavor I typically enjoy in those types of beers but they were decent. I'll be back to see what's new on the menu next time I'm in town. Hard to beat a burger, fries, and a flight of beer for $25 plus tip and tax. Service was terrible. All open tables were dirty. It was not super busy. We picked a table and stood by waiting for someone to clear. A gentleman came and began clearing scowling at us the whole time. He took drink order and never came back. Another server finally took our food order. We ordered pizza took a very long time and then the crust was pale and raw. After waiting a very long time we gave up and went up to the bar to close out tab. The absolute worst service I have ever had our server left us standing in line to go wash tables down (there was no one waiting to be seated) which is ironic because we sat at a dirty table outside until we went in and made someone clean it and pick up all the plates and cups. We have been there twice. The selection of beers is average at best. Other local breweries (Ebensburg and Indiana) surpass this selection. Beware if you run a tab as gratuity was added to our on the first visit. Not realizing that, we left additional gratuity. My major complaint deals with the location of the cigarette receptacle which is just outside the open garage door. As an asmatic, I had to leave earlier than I would have chosen to do so on 9/29/18.
