Came here with our friends, bringing 6 kids in total! Staff were very accommodating. A lot of kids menu options. We ordered the jalapeño deviled eggs, Cuban sandwich, sausage sandwich, and kids quesadilla. The servers were gracious enough to offer samples of what's on tap. The menu has something for everyone. My experience at this brewery was positive in every way. I consider beer to be my hobby and it has been a long time since I have been to a brewery where I learned so much. Owner was very friendly, well informed and open about sharing information about the beer. We had never been there before and my wife and I were treated the same as the owner treated people who clearly were regulars. This is a brewery that does not use fancy styles and tends to stick very closely to the basics. Their strength is absolutely one where they Focus on the essentials and focus on doing that well. You will not find things like milkshakes, IPAs or fancy flavored style here, but we'll get good. Beer made very well. My only regret about this place. We got so wrapped up in learning about the beer and discussing different styles that we did not have a chance to try the food.I can only say that their food smelled very good and people seem to enjoy it. read more

This was a nice little spot I visited while home to see my parent for Thanksgiving. It's a family owned business and the bartender/brew offeror was super personable. My dad and I tried the teriyaki meatballs which tasted good (and not that I know anything g about food, I think a glaze would be yummier than a broth-like sauce). Sugar Run is a very cute brewery located in a very unsuspecting place in Duncansville! I visited for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful decor, great food, and of course, the variety of beer and cocktails. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The location is in a former garage and has a bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. There's a wide selection of their own drafts as well as spirits and wine from local makers. Their food menu has a variety of sandwiches, salads, and tacos - I highly recommend the chickpea tacos! read more

Fantastic! Great food and service (Anna) was spectacular! Menu recently was changed up and man did they do great. Every thing was spot on. They do their own smoking of the brisket, pork, chicken. We had brisket and chicken and they were very good. Melt in mouth good! Great combination of flavors. Oh and the beer/drinks are super. Everything about this place is very good. The beer is definitely above the line. I drove 90 minutes to get there and it was worth it. I was also happy to be able to drink a well executed Belgian golden ale! The menu is simple but everything I had was good. You can see them cooking food from the bar. We tried Sugar Run for the first time. Great remodeling job - cool interior and small seating area outside. Service was quite friendly and informative. We each got a flight of four 5 oz beers, selecting from the draft menu. Everything we tried was very, very good. I really enjoyed their Belgian ale. We hadn't planned on getting food but decided to get the jerk chicken nachos. They were really tasty and enough to share. The chicken was seasoned well and very tender. We also had the carrot and ginger parfait, which was a nice little dessert. Big parking lot, easy to find and access. Really nice operation. We'll be back again. Wonderful brewery/restaurant! Lots of tasty, interesting beers (English Mild, Rauschbier) and at nice prices (generally $7 for a pint). The food was also really good, from gyros to chili dogs and tacos with poke or smoked pork shoulders, among others. Definitely a place to visit! read more

The service was outstanding. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. The place was hopping, and we did not wait for anything. We had the crab nachos and jerk chicken hoagie. Both were tasty. Beer was better than average. They even gave us a taster of their Session IPA when we sat down. We been to a lot of micro breweries (75 plus), and that has never happened. We were looking for a place to enjoy a great cold beer on a warm day and we found it! Sugar Run Brewing Company was the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon. We were greeted by the owner as soon as we arrived and were treated t like the most important guests they were expecting. This treatment is enjoyed by every guest. We dined on the patio which is surrounded by beautiful shrubbery. I had the smash burger and the oatmeal stout. Both were delicious so I had a second on the burger and lowered the ABV on my second beer and had the Radler. What a refreshing beer! (We grabbed a Crowler of that to go.) My spouse enjoyed a flight of beers and settled on a glass of the sea salt lime ale. He was pleased with all the beers in the flight and the SSLA. He dined on the spring rolls and veggie pita. Both of which I sampled and agreed were delicious. The wait staff was exceptional as well. You can tell the owners take great pride in their product and service. read more
