We ordered approx. $600 worth of tile. They sent a photo for approval after the order was submitted. We did not like the tile in the photos and elected to go somewhere else. They offered options, but my client was wary and decided not to use them. They charged our card prior to shipping, and when we did not approve the photos they charged a fee of $17.51 by not refunding the full, premature charge of $610.47. They stated that when you submit an order, you are agreeing to buy from them no matter what. If you don't like it, there is a fee. When you buy tile online, it is a gamble for the color. But when the vendor OFFERS another level of approval in the form of photographs and you do not like it, they charge you a fee just for asking. Bad policy to charge before the final level of approval that is THEIR IDEA and also before shipping any product to the customer. read more

March 2026: I was looking for some accent tile to complete a custom floor design. The big box stores didn't have what I needed so I took to the web and found Stone Center Online. My experience was EXCELLENT. I live in Maryland and placed my order on a Sunday afternoon. I was expecting it to take at least a week to arrive, but it came 2 days later (yay!). After hitting "purchase" I was immediately contacted by Allan from SCO. He sent sample images of the tile for approval and urged me to ensure the color and amount is what I needed. It was a small order, just 8 pieces of Carrara White Marble 5/8x4 Rectangular Stacked Mosaic tile, but the care taken for shipping was top notch. And the best part, they use eco-friendly packing peanuts (I appreciate that)! IN SUMMARY: Super selection, fair prices, great customer service, speedy delivery, and high quality of product. We found out about Stone Center Online from using Houzz. Having handpicked all the tiles in my home, I wanted to do the same for our kitchen tiles, but we didn't have time to make the trip down to Southern California. Allan and his staff were accommodating by sending various photos from their different batches of Calcutta Gold marbles and answered all my questions. The reason why I took off one star was because of the slow processing/shipping time. Although all packages came with free 2 day shipping, the orders took awhile to be processed. Something to keep in mind if you're on a tight time schedule. Overall, I would use Stone Center again for all my tile needs, but will time my projects accordingly due to the slow processing time. read more

We're in the process of redoing our kitchen, new counters, back splash, redoing the cabinets etc. After shopping for weeks at various tile stores, we found what we liked from a local tile, flooring store and brought home a sample. Decided to check pricing on line for the same product, Bardiglio Gray 2 inch Hexagon Mosaic Tile Polished. Stumbled upon Stone Center Online and found the exact same product for $14 less per sheet! Okay, skepticism set in. Saw that you could order a sample so we did. The sample was smaller than the normal sheet but priced almost the same, so we decided to order one sheet. After inspection of the regular sheet and communication with Alan at the Stone Center, we decided to proceed with an order. We communicated to Alan through email a few times with questions and he quickly responded. We were interested in the darker pattern so Alan stated he would hand pick the sheets. The tile sheets arrived well packed, no cracks, scratches etc. All in good condition. Shipping came from Anaheim CA to Pennsylvania. Shipping cost is included in the price. Definitely would suggest shopping locally for a product and then checking the Stone Center for better pricing. read more

BUYER BEWARE. I really wanted to like this place but don't even consider buying from here. We were looking for a specific tile and needed to order online because we don't have a car and travel so much for work, it was most convenient for us. We ordered the tile, they emailed us pictures of the color variations - everything was great. When we got the tiles the problems started. We didn't have a single sheet of good tiles - in every sheet 2+ tiles were chipped on the edge or middle of the tiles (bad chips, see pictures). We contacted customer service and they offered to send single tiles, for us to pop out the bad tiles and replace them with the single tiles. This was fine except we had quite a few sheets with 6+ chipped tiles. After some back and forth we finally convinced them to send us 9 new sheets. We got the new sheets and they were also chipped, so we had to end up popping out 100+ tiles that are bad. We will need to continue popping them off and then fill in the single tiles when we put the floor in. Such a waste of time and money!! Not worth it, just steer clear. read more

I'm surprised by the bad reviews but I assume it's from people who ordered online. Don't be swayed by the negative reviews. If you are local and looking for marble tile, this is the place to go! And if you're ordering online, you can always order sample tiles to see the color and quality. After many trips to tile mile in Anaheim, I turned to the Internet to look for deals on Carrara marble tile and stumbled upon this place on Amazon.com and realized it was within driving distance from our home. I called to see if their store was legit and visited their small showroom area. It's nothing fancy but they have samples of all the tile they carry. The ladies working there were really helpful. When I was ready to purchase, I came with all my measurements and my SUV. The staff loaded up my car and I went home only to realize the entire lot of 3"x6" Carrara marble tiles had like zero veining and we're practically white. Thankfully our contractors were able to load them back into my car and I brought them back and exchanged them for a better lot of tiles. Long story short, the place is great about letting you hand select your tiles. Heck, you can stand there and hand pick every single one of you want to. I was in Carrara marble heaven and their prices were wayyyy better than anything I found on tile mile so I went a little crazy tiling my bathroom. After a few more trips back to pick up more tile and 1.5 months later, we finally have a mini dream bathroom. See my pictures. The tile is beautiful. read more

I arrived, walked in and immediately walked back out. It was an office I walked into and I was expecting a showroom. But after confirming the address, I walked back in and Alma greeted me. She was very sweet. She walked me into the warehouse and had a warehouse staff pull stock to show me available options. I came across the business online while searching for tiles that were not made in China and I am so excited this business is only miles from me. They have great options in stock and many of the tiles are made in Italy. Pricing is competitive for premium stone tiles, but heeps more compared to the "Made in China" stock. This business is a scam. I ordered white Carrara marble tiles. Susan Chen (who I am told is the owner) sent me a photo of gray tile. I figured it was just bad lighting. I asked her point-blank: Would you say the predominant underlying color in the tile is WHITE? She replied that it was. I posted a pic of what I received against a white t-shirt to show the difference. I also sent her that photo and asked her to pick up the tile and issue me a refund. Not only did she refuse to do so, she attempted to insult me by stating that she had "no idea what to do with a person who compares the color of white Carrara to a t-shirt". (huh?) When I informed her that white is white and not gray and sent her a photo of actual white Carrara tile, she accused me of sending her a photo of cheap ceramic tile. I guess she doesn't know the difference between cheap ceramic tile and white Carrara marble. Run away. These people are awful. I'm filing a dispute with my credit card company today. read more

I ordered my product online, and the customer service has been fantastic. I was impressed upon placing my order, within 24 hours I received an email asking me to review the color of the items purchased, that they are shipping to me as part of my order. Upon approving the pieces, my order shipped and I received updates regarding delivery, etc. The shipment arrived quickly and was well packaged. Each piece of the pencil was individually bubble wrapped, taped and properly packaged to avoid shipment damage. The package also includes a message to inspect the tile thoroughly, as installed product is non-returnable. (which only make sense, to check all product before installation) read more

I am working with Stone Center Right now on a project in Washington state. They shipped Calcutta Gold 12x24 marble and also Carrera marble. They have been wonderful to work with. The product is great. The Calcutta Gold is exceptional. I had to writing this review to say I made a big mistake and gave them the wrong shipping address. I accidentally gave them an address of one of my homes in California when it was supposed to go to a new vacation home in Washington. They were amazing. They had the stone returned to their center and then shipped it up to Washington. Now I had to pay a little for my snafu, but they got it right. It does take awhile to ship, because they go through each piece to make sure you are not getting tile with ugly rust colored stains in it. I will definitely use them for all my projects going forward. They are a great company with the best prices. read more

If you have a problem with your purchase you are out of luck. About 70% of the tiles in the first shipment arrived damaged. I called multiple times to get a replacement shipment. It never arrived. The third shipment was from a different lot so the colors were slightly different AND the shipment was short. I needed 30 replacement tiles and they shipped only 30 sq. ft. After so many months and still not enough tile for the job I returned the all the tiles. It's very disturbing, as with other reviewers I was promised a refund but it never came. There were promises, "the returned tiles had to be inventoried" and "your credit will have to go through accounting". I had to request a credit from my credit card company. read more

Be careful with this company. I placed something in my cart and never completed the order after determining it would not work. I've had multiple email exchanges asking if I wanted the order shipped always replying no. Well they shipped it and charged my account. I have called customer service numerous times to return the tile and get my money refunded. Finally the tiles were picked up and I was told their NJ distribution center had received them. I purchased some Carrara marble tiles for a backsplash, with additional small black squares to break up the pattern. The shipment arrived quickly, but upon opening the packages, I realized the tiles were not mosaic on mesh as the photos had led me to believe. Additionally, the tiles were much larger than what I was looking for and were also not cut very precisely. We attempted to recreate the pattern, but the angles and edges on each of the Carrara pieces didn't line up--a major problem for me, especially considering how many of these irregular pieces would need to be used to finish the backsplash. Annoying, but we figured we'd just return them and move on. Their return process is basically nonexistent unless the pieces are physically damaged, which seems ludicrous especially when dealing with the kind of color variation found in natural stone. I've also never encountered such an aggressive anti-return policy for a company that sells things online. People will obviously discover that the color, size, shape, etc. are off once they see it in person. They initially refused to take them back at all, then agreed to take them back if I paid for the return shipping...of five heavy boxes of marble. They also told us they'd see what they could do and get back to us...which they never did. We wound up having to take the initiative to call them back and received the same abysmal service. I bought 70 sf of polished 2" hex carrara white and was very happy with the quality, so I ordered another 70 sf a month later for future projects but the quality was not the same. Inconsistent color between sheets so I can't use all the tile on the same project. On some sheets the tile spacing is off, so I will have to pull tiles from the mesh to fix. I assumed the quality would be the same as the first order but it was not. read more

JUNE 2013: I purchased marble flooring from this company June 2013 for a 2nd bathroom addition. I found them online on Ebay and noticed they were shipping from a location near me so I decided to do the visit and transaction in person. The owner was amazing and super nice.I was able to get $1 off each sqft. and they did free delivery because I live in Long Beach, CA. I went in person to check the stone out and received GREAT customer service/support. I LOVED THEM!! APRIL 2014: I decided that I wanted to use the same company again since I had such a wonderful experience before. It was time to redo the guest bathroom so I looked online at what they had and decided on flooring. I emailed the shop and told them about how I was there before and how I happy I was to return. We spoke by phone and I mentioned to the owner that I was wondering if we could strike another deal. He stated that he could give me $1 off but I would have to pick it up. I stated that I would prefer the same deal as last time, $1 off and the free delivery, the same deal as last time. He then stated that he never did that. "I have the paperwork right here, I never picked it up, you delivered it after I drove over there to look at your stone options. He then said "no, I don't know what you are talking about" He was very rude in tone and was yelling it at me telling me he didn't offer that before. Why would I make that up, I have the order form right in my hand!! Clearly he didn't bother to pull out my order form to check but basically he was not willing to provide the same deal even though I was going to purchase more and higher proved product. So I won't be returning and I found someone with the same stone at the same quality for $3 less a sqft. They have a good selection online. Items were delivered without any breakage. My customer service experience with this company was dismal. One of their employees had entered my address wrong and so my packages were sent to a non-existent house (apparently this has happened before by the same employee). The packages were re-delivered the next day in the late afternoon. I tried to ask them to expedite the shipping through FedEx. They said "No." I asked for a shipping refund. They said "no," as it was free shipping. I asked for a discount (even a token discount) for my troubles, as I had to run around my neighborhood for 30 minutes trying to find my packages while I was on the phone with them; this caused me to be late in picking up my kids. I had to constantly call them to find out more information, which was slow-going. In addition, I had a crew standing by to start tiling, but they couldn't because the tiles weren't there and we were set back by three days because of the time the products were delivered. They said "No" to any discount. Their staff are not empowered to do anything helpful to a customer. They have to rely on the manager who doesn't seem to spend a lot of time there, as they were unable to locate her until she finally came in. They claimed they had no contact information for her, so they couldn't call her cell phone. So I would highly recommend using another company on the Internet, or if you can, find a local place, as if you have problems, it's easier to deal with people in person, as well as return or exchange items. read more

If I could give my experience a lower rating than one star I would have. What an unbelievable experience from start to finish. I hope those of you who are considering ordering from this company will think twice before doing so. I received my order from Stone Center Corp a little over a month ago. I ordered Carrera Blanco marble tile for my bathroom. When the installers laid all of the 6x12 tile out, they found that they were all different colors - apparently from different lots, etc. We received pictures of the tile prior to shipping and were assured that they were the same lot. We understand that marble is a natural tile and will vary slightly but this was WAY more than a slight variation. We definitely could not use these for our bathroom. I called Stone Center in a panic because I was paying my tile installers by the day and we were at a standstill. After a few conversations, the agreed to pick up the shipment of this tile and issue a refund. Although I was very frustrated with my experience thus far, I appreciated their effort to pick up the tile and refund our money. In the meantime, I spent half a day driving through the city to find someone who had this tile as a substitute because I couldn't wait two more weeks to special order it. I found a tile to use which was 3x6 and much smaller than our 6x12. Although we didn't want a smaller tile, we went with it because it was in stock. NOW comes the real bizarre stuff...I received a notice that the tile was delivered back to Stone Center and immediately asked about my refund. I was told that the warehouse had to count/record the tile and they would let me know shortly. A week later I still heard nothing and contacted them again. They apologized that their warehouse was behind and I was told we would have the info regarding the refund that evening (still one week after they received our return). I didn't hear anything about the refund and reach out again the next day. Within a few minutes I received a credit memo with the amount that would be charged back to my card. THEN, within 30 minutes of this charge, I received a message person stating that they actually counted the return tile and it was 7 square feet short of what they expected?!? I asked the manager why they issued me a credit if they hadn't counted the tile and she said the the warehouse still hadn't had time to count the tile. She said it was too late to reverse the credit I received and she wanted me to pay for the 7 square feet that was shorted which amounted to just under $50.00. At that point, I completely lost it - after all the aggravation I went through, the extra money I had to pay the tile crew for waiting around for new tile, the extra expense ($480) of the tile that was substituted and the hassle I had to go through to return the tile that should never have been sent to me - you are NOW asking me for $50 - seriously?!? For those of you reading this that understand customer service, hopefully, you will be as blown away with this response from the Manager as I was! read more

I am a builder of high end homes and have used this company of 3-4 occasions. These are large jobs and expensive orders. I was happy until the last time when I found Christy the manager that I usually deal with to be slow in returning my emails or calls about my order. The order did come and was fine. Unfortunately I just place a large order it took Christy 1 week to respond to my order request. I complained and the order was finally shipped several days after they ran my credit card. My tile installer informed my the tile is poor quality this time and there are huge variations in the color of the tiles (beyond the expected variations with natural stone). I sent Christy a photo of the tile and requested they ship tile with less variations etc and we would return the tile that was flawed. I have yet to hear from them. So in order to not delay the job I went to another vender for new tiles. I will be eating that cost! Thanks Christy for such great customer service! You should lose your job for this as I have spent over 100k with you over that last 12 months. read more
