Called Larry on the phone and was given a warm welcome to stop by and train. Stopped by for their 5:30pm adult BJJ class which was proceeded by their kids class. You know it's going to be amazing when you have a swarm of happy and excited kids. When Larry showed up, the kids gave swarmed him and gave him hugs and high fives. Clear and concise instructions by coach Larry, he was patient, funny and unpretentious. Down to earth and amazing happy vibes all around. Every academy should strive to be like this place. The members are warm, welcoming and patient with my newbie white belt self. No one was grinding for a submission, and just rolling to be better. I felt safe and learned a lot! Out of town travelers, Be aware the Florida humidity is rough. 90min will feel longer , this is why their members are all beast modes. Remember to hydrate! Highly recommended, and the hype is real! The beach is beautiful and the water is stunning, be prepared to walk across a lot of sand to get to the water part. After swimming, we went to get some ice cream from the shop, and I got a root beer float, which was good. Overall, such a nice time!

Just wanted to post an update…read more After my 1 year was up, unfortunately I had to stop coming because my availability was no longer the same. I was away for roughly 4 months, and in those 4 months, I gained between 12 to 15 pounds, and the belly was back in full force. I could easily pass for someone in their second trimester, and I'm a dude. And sadly, it was once again hard to tie my shoes without holding my breath. So I readjusted my schedule & priorities, and have been back at F45 for 1 month. In that month, I have lost 2 pounds, and the belly is not as round, but definitely still there. It's kind of hard to erase 4 months of damage in 1 month. And I know the damage was just from the lack of activity since my diet has always been horrible, and will most likely stay horrible. But the best part? I can once again tie my shoes without holding my breath. LOL. Moral of the story, prioritize fitness and your health, even if you eat like crap.

All of the instructors and videographers were awesome and fun. I was lucky enough to have Art as my instructor. He's absolutely the best! So funny and cool. He made sure I had the best, most adrenaline fueled birthday ever!! I've done a lot of industrial health and safety work and I appreciated how Art and everyone else were constantly checking and double checking equipment, altitude, and time; and worked like a well oiled team - I felt no worries. I highly recommend purchasing the video package if it's your first jump. Scotty was my videographer and he did an amazing job! Those videographers are really crazy! I received a link to my video package within hours and love the amazing video they sent. Of course I've shared it with everyone I know!! But what really surprised me was the number of high quality photos they sent as well. So worth the money! Personally, I think you'd be crazy to jump the first time and not get the video/pictures. They sent me a link for a discounted second skydive and as soon as I get my taxes filed I'm taking advantage of it! I was rudely informed that customers are expected to "plan on waiting hours to get their turn." It appears that this is actually a first come - first served operation. I was informed that, if I didn't like it, we could go somewhere else. We did! I've been involved in Army airborne operations for over 30 years and find Skydive Palatka unsatisfactory.
