We almost settled and gave up on that dream wedding until we found The Cotton Gin. I still have no idea how they pulled it off so seamlessly. The Cotton Gin went above and beyond to make the whole day smooth for both my mom and us. When they say "all inclusive" they mean it. I did not lift a single finger for coordinating vendors, stressing about timing, or anything that usually causes stress for brides. I was calm the whole day and if any anxiety arose at any point in the process, the staff reassured me and was proactive in accommodating anything I needed. The owner Amanda is a creative genius and you can tell she loves what she does. Her goal is to give all brides a dream wedding that fits their budget. You can tell that she put careful thought into choosing staff that has the same passion and vision. Truly I feel like I made bonds with the staff that will last a life time. All of my guests gave extremely positive feedback about their experience! Also, the food was literally a 5 star dining experience. The shrimp and grits for the appetizer was delicious and the presentation of the cheeses was wonderful. A beautiful, intimate and cozy place with a couple levels, including a dance floor. We always enjoy stopping by the visitor's center to obtain additional information. It is fairly self-serve so you can just walk in and select the information that you need. A staff member did come in to see if we needed assistance but we were fine. It is a cute little office with plenty of seating so you can take a break from touring. Take time to stop in and say hey. We enjoyed visiting the Booth Western Museum but found that there was not much to the downtown area except they have an interesting number of art galleries and attorneys. I think the coolest aspects of the town are the trains that frequently pass through and the quaint little places to eat. The one place that should have been open, (according to posted hours) but wasn't, was the bakery. Shame on you! Maybe next time.

The whole museum with vintage cars to see it live in person it was wonderful. The have car brands from Chevy corvette, Buick, ford, Pontiac, Ferrari and Dodge. The cars are in pristine condition and it was wonderful to see how the cars have evolved. Another tip when visiting, there is no extension poles for the cameras is allowed and the staff were kind enough to use it for our 360 camera in the lowest position. The whole visit we are able to finish within 2-3 hours(with kids) :-)

We arrived in wonderful spirits, ready to select our Christmas tree, but were met with a cold, unwelcoming atmosphere that, unfortunately, has become familiar. The quiet, passive-aggressive cold-shoulder is loud in its own way, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and unwanted. We have continued coming because our children enjoy the farm, particularly in early to mid-autumn, but this experience sealed our decision. I would genuinely rather drive into the city and sit in traffic than return. To make matters worse, when we visited the animal-feeding area, the attendant shorted our change. After we kindly pointed out the miscalculation, he replied, "Oh, well I don't have any more change." I told him we would simply take additional cups of feed, and he looked at us as though we were unreasonable. Either the math was beyond him, or he assumed we would overpay. Perhaps I am too devoted to my quixotic, Hallmark-inspired hopes for the season, but this experience certainly did not contribute to the holiday warmth we arrived with. I do, however, want to commend the employee who tied our tree onto our SUV. He was the only pleasant member of the staff we encountered. Update: The wedding went very well. Good thing it didn't rain and all the rain happened earlier in the week before the wedding. The wedding was a combined Indian and American wedding. The area was available to setup the Mandap which is the center stage for the Indian wedding. The groom and I with the rest of their families helped setup the place. We added some lighting as well. At a clear night, you can see all the stars. It was a spectacular view to end the night. Make sure you download a good star gazing app to know the constellations. The staff was unprepared, unprofessional and incredibly flippant when issues were brought to their attention. The mother of the bride was interrupted and called away from her daughter(the bride)several times to deal with details that had been discussed 3 separate times, after 3 two-hour long distance trips to this location. Details that had been meticulously discussed during numerous emails, phone calls and and written down with several people (including the owner/planner). The owner/planner apparently never attends the events, but instead places a "stand-in planner" to take her place. ...This was never discussed with us.... Somehow, our spectacularly detailed emails, plans and itinerary did NOT get passed along to the stand-in planner! GUESTS were actually called upon by the same uninformed staff members to help place things, answer questions and direct as to where the items should go! When confronted with our concerns, the stand-in planner blatantly stated that "the owner does this all the time and they never gave her the details" What??? Then, Why did we pay for a planner??? Why did we drive 2 hours on 3 different trips to have wedding-planning-meetings????? The passing-the-blame situation caused for the mother of the bride to miss sweet moments (dressing her daughter in her wedding dress) and her father to miss her send off with sparklers from the wedding (he was asked to move his truck) , memories this family can NEVER get back. According to the stand-in planner these types of situations have been the norm at this venue. I suggest that this venue gets its act together, so no other family has to needlessly stress on such a special day, as we did. I'm saddened that this happened to my family, so many people came from all corners of Georgia, to be here for our special day, and unfortunately what was remembered from this day, was stress, anger and broken promises. P.S hire your own planner and bring them with you to be safe!

Their events are always such a joy -- creative, well-organized, and full of good energy. I've attended many over the years, but the llama pub crawls will always be my favorite. There's just something so fun and unexpected about exploring the city alongside these adorable llamas! I also love that they've expanded the experience to several parts of Atlanta, giving more people the chance to enjoy the magic. Highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for something unique and unforgettable!
