We stumbled past this bright yellow stop after a few hours at the cliffs of moher and we LOVED it! Cozy, fresh, vegetarian friendly food served in such a warm environment. We ordered the vegan soup with a brie baguette (YUM), a side apple salad with house dressing (so fresh!), and cheesy garlic bread. For dessert we sampled the cake of the day which was a coffee-fresh cream- tiramisu concoction that was spellbinding. I don't know why this place isn't more well known but so happy we stopped by and would come again at any point that I could!

Third food stop on the Irish trip and the best chowder I've had this far. Fish was good, little bit more greasy than some other places. I didn't know Beef stew could be that good, it was soft and buttery.

This family-owned restaurant (which we love) is about a 10-min walk from the house we were staying at for our honeymoon. We came here today for lunch and love the idea that the owners converted this cottage into a restaurant. As we walked up, we noticed it is definitely family-friendly with the playground outside; so if you're in the area with your kids, bring 'em. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. The staff was so nice and ready to answer any of our questions. We love how they have daily vegetarian specials for lunch entrees and soups. My husband had a lentil burger with Mexican salsa, fries, and a side salad. I had fish and chips with fries and a side salad. Then, for dessert, I had homemade raspberry/white chocolate cheesecake. Needless to say, our plates were cleaned off. The food at this restaurant was so good. The hours are limited based on the time of year, so be sure to check their website for hours. There is free wi-fi. Toys are in the corner of the restaurant for children. Parking is available in the front of the restaurant. Be sure to check out their specials of the day written on their chalkboards, so you don't miss out!

We stopped by here on the way back from the Cliffs of Moher and are very very pleased with our decision. I had one of the best burgers ever- and I live in California. As the waitress said" Happy cows make good burgers." The Brie sundries tomato and pesto sandwich was excellent as well. Ireland continues to regale us with its culinary quality. This is a picturesque spot that could easily have coasted on location but has risen above.

We had great service and desserts when we stopped by here after the Cliffs of Moher. It's very cozy and homey! I loved our quaint window seat with candles, plants, and trinkets. Great atmosphere for a relaxing time after a long trek through the cliffs!

Just off the road from the Cliff's of Mohere is a little home-like restaurant called Stone-cutters chicken. It's small, nothing fancy, but has some good food. After reading the reviews of others I gots the chowder with garlic bread. The chowder was amazing. I burnt my tongue because I was so impatient! The cheese garlic bread had great flavor, but wasn't really very crispy. If it was left in the oven for an extra minute it would have been perfect. My husband had the homemade Irish Burger with bacon and cheese. This two patty monster is very filling. However the side of mash was lacking. If they mixed in some garlic and butter it really would have helped. The staff was wonderful, and really is what made this a 4 star location. I genuinely appreciate someone who acknowledges us when we walk in. All and all, solid place for a quick bite coming back from the Cliff's of Mohere.

If you're visiting the Cliffs of Moher and need a bite to eat, you must come to Stonecutter's. One of the best meals I had on my honeymoon was from this place. Stonecutter's is in the town of Doolin and close to the beautiful Cliffs of Moher. It's a yellow cottage that has been turned into a restaurant. It's right off the main road so you can't miss it. There is seating both inside and outside. Inside, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server explained their menu and shared the specials which were written on chalkboards on the wall. My husband ordered the Guinness Stew and I ordered the mussels with a Moroccan broth. The menu does change seasonally with some staples. Our food was absolutely delicious. The broth for the mussels was flavorful with just the right amount of spice. My husband loved his stew as well. He said the meat and vegetables were tender and cooked perfectly. We ended our meal by sharing some local homemade ice cream. Yum! Service was very good throughout our meal. Staff was friendly and attentive and made great recommendations about the food. I highly recommend a visit if you're in Doolin.

I've been to Ireland three times, and each time, I've stopped here to eat. The service is wonderful. It's extremely charming looking with its yellow exterior. It's so close to the Cliffs of more that it just makes sense to stop here. I've had hamburgers, seafood, and stew here, and they never disappoint. The desserts are delicious too.

Really good food and delicious Guinness! We ordered beef stew which was very yummy, and a burger with bacon. Both were very tasty and came to our table quickly. The place has a nice outdoor area, and it's perfect when you're done exploring the Cliffs of Moher. It also has a cute play area for kids.

It's been 2 months plus and I still think of Stone Cutters clam chowder. I am so glad we stopped here on our way to the Cliffs of Moher. The food was amazing and we really enjoyed the picturesque playground by the restaurant. This place is definitely worth a visit, especially if traveling with little ones

Cute little place, very homey and right next to the cliffs. The soup was pretty bland. The crab cakes were good and dessert was very good.

This was my FAVORITE meal in Galway!…read more It was my first time in Ireland - was visiting for business trip and we stayed in Galway for a few days and got to try several restaurants in the area. This was my favorite restaurant because of the AMAZING seafood. The raw oysters were super fresh and it was fun getting to see the manager show us how to shuck oysters (he used to compete in oyster shucking contest and was ranked pretty high!). The steamed mussels and crab claws were also delicious. Ending the meal with cheesecake was great! The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you are visiting a friend's home for a nice meal. Highly recommend checking out this restaurant if you are in the area and are looking for amazing seafood!

People after us were directed to the bar for open seating. The seafood chowder was rich and filling. Mixed oyster plate came with three Gigas and three natives (5 years to grow) but we couldn't agree on which was the best. Moran's featured half a dozen different cold platters and we ordered the smoked salmon which consisted of plate sized slices topped with a salad and a scoop of crab. The Marie rose dressing was delicious and made this salad one of our favorites of this trip. Lastly their Irish soda bread was the best we've eaten and wished we could've gotten a loaf to take with us. The good service, great food and eclectic ambiance made for a nice Easter Sunday meal.

Too much traffic, glass bottles dropping (crashing) in to a bin. Could've done without that, startling every time someone dropped or threw a bottle in. On to the rest of the experience. We got set very quickly, upon verifying our reservation. Took too long for the server to come around and off us anything. Got our drink order in, drinks cane pretty quickly, bottles of beer and a pour of wines. Food orders got in shortly afterwards, with the wait time not taking too long. Our group ordered the Tempura Prawns, Grilled Hake with mashed potatoes & broccolini, grilled hake with chips & broccolini, seafood linguine. Everything was prepared nicely and tasted quite good. Good volume of food too, nobody left hungry. The service... not that great. Really took away from the overall experience. Not engaging, not explaining dishes, kinda cold! Took multiple tries to get their attention. Not a complete showstopper but could definitely use improvement. Cheers.

First, service was top-notch. We didn't have to wait for anything and our server was pleasant, helpful, and made great suggestions. I started off with oysters. They were the best I have ever had! Better than Maine, NYC, CT or even New Orleans. These blew me away. For dinner we ordered off of the specials menu. My daughter had the Sea Bass with sweet potato and Zhoug. I had the Grilled Aran Lemon Sole. Both were delicate, delicious and expertly prepared. My daughter ordered dessert and a cappuccino, and I had a coffee. This was the only place in all of Ireland that served real cream for the coffee when asked. No place else had cream, so I was in heaven. I have already told all of my friends that when I go to Ireland they have to stop at this place. We have a favorite restaurant in Dublin and now we have a favorite restaurant in Galway.
