    1/4 dozen Oysters

Overall - 3.5/5 Service - 4/5 Ambience - 3.5/5 Food - 3/5 Value - 3.5/5 The food was just so so. Sauce was too strong overall and could not really enjoy the taste of the seafood. The oysters were too small. Servers were friendly.

Lovely, intimate space with absolutely top-notch seafood, beautifully prepared. Excellent service. Best meal we had in Galway by considerable margin.

    The oysters were perfect!

The food at Oscar's was fantastic. Oysters, monkfish, and the fish of the day. Perfection! We only had water to drink. We were parched. My only slight complaint would be the service. It wasn't bad, per se, but it was not warm and friendly. Luckily, however, we were seated next to a very warm and friendly bunch of older gentleman. They were absolutely in love with their meals and their wine selection. They made the experience more fun.

Amazing restaurant just across the bridge from Quay Street. This area is super popular and it completely transforms at night to a really hip outdoor dining area. We got here right around the time they opened, so there was no wait. But by the time we left things were packed! We ordered a half dozen of raw oysters, half dozen of steamed oysters, the monkfish with mussels, and the lobster spaghetti. Everything was fantastic! My favorite was probably the monkfish, it was very tender and went really well with the sauce. Highly recommend coming here for dinner when you're in Galway!

Fresh local oysters with house special ginger Tabasco sauce were a jumping jack mouth surprise I will try at home! We also had the potted brown crab, scallops and blue cheese and pear and the Hake all divine! The staff is knowledgeable and professional with warmth and good stories. Overall 5 stars This place is a gem!!!

This is called a Seedlip and it is a non alcoholic gin drink but I got it with Irish gin and it was money in the bank. So I had 3...

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! Drinks, atmosphere, appetizers, main courses, deserts, staff, music! It's all fabulous. Just go. This is hands down some of the best food I've had in mylife.

Cheers from a happy Irish family!

Great atmosphere and staff. Oysters were shucked at the table and the service matched the food -- outstanding.

Delicious, had the famous Galway oysters, a glass of wine, a salad, and the custard dessert. Sweet folks, good food, quaint street.

The Plaice had a very full flavor of lemon and although the fish is slightly more dense than the hake it was perfection.

We didn't have reservations but the restaurant was able to seat us at the bar. For drinks, it's wine and beer. They do have some liquor. Reading previous reviews highlighted an amazing cocktail, but the manager said they do not serve cocktails. They can do things like gin and a bottle of tonic. We opted for a bottle of Riesling. We started off with complimentary soda and Guinness bread and butter. You could taste the freshness! My husband and I ordered the seafood chowder. One of our favorites in Ireland. For dinner, my husband ordered the seared tuna which was a special for the evening. I ordered the pan seared seabass. Our meal came with a side of potatoes too. His seared tuna was so good! There was calamari along with a vegetable. My seabass was so good. It came with potatoes and corn. Most fish we have come across in Ireland was fried so it was nice to have so many pan seared options. The dessert menu looked great but we were pretty full. I took a peek just in case. Chill vibes which is way different compared to the rowdiness of the Latin quarters.
