First of all I would like to say thank you to Eric he has the best personality and helped us through every aspect you can imagine of this difficult time. First contact we had was with Debbie Stone she immediately gave us guidance thank you also Debbie All the employees at this location are very nice and helpful and very informative very respectful I can't say enough about them! We had a private viewing at their location it was sweet and simple. They were early to every location we had a big service at St. Peter St. Paul Catholic Church in Alta Loma oh they conveniently met me there early, We went all the way to resurrection cemetery located in Los Angeles everything went nice and smooth be there I didn't get the young lady that was helping but Eric was there thank you Eric for everything we highly recommend you and Stones funeral home. I asked him to be specially gentle with the beautiful flowers provided by Sapphire Florist and TommyAustin Florist Eric told me we always handle them with Care and he did thank you so much. My husband Don passed away in July after a long illness. It was a very tough time for me. A few days after he passed I met with Erick at Stone Funeral home to plan the service and burial. As you can imagine this is a very emotional thing to do. Erick was very kind and courteous and made this process very easy for me. He was very thorough in explaining everything that was going to happen. if I had a question, I would email him and he would answer right away. He has great attention to detail and follow through. Sixteen years ago, we lost my father and Stone was a God send. I literally don't know how we would have made it through the process without the knowledge, compassion and support of the woman that helped us (I wish that I remembered her name!). She was so kind and understanding. When my mother in-law passed away this weekend, I suggested that my husband look into using Stone since I'd had such a positive experience. Well, apparently 16 years makes quite the difference in customer service because we had a terrible experience. We called ahead and were told that appointments were necessary, but that we could come in and get a general list of prices. My husband, sister in-law and I walked in and were greeted by two ushers that immediately tried to hand us information about the service that was currently taking place. I explained that we weren't there for the service and after some confusion, we were told to take a seat, but there wasn't anywhere to sit because the family that was having a service had several personal items on the couch and chairs, including a purse and fur coat, which we certainly weren't going to move (this tidbit is NOT slamming the poor family in anyway, it's to point out that the staff needs to think about what they're saying). After a few moments, a gentleman walked out with some paperwork and told us that these were the prices and to call with any questions....no introduction...no "I'm sorry for your loss"... no nothing. I understand that we didn't have an appointment and that he was likely helping another family, but he was so cold, it was as if we'd gone in to get a quote on new tires for our car. It would have taken him an extra minute to say, "Hi, I'm (blank), I understand that you're here to get some prices. Unfortunately I am with another family and we don't have any time available today, but we can set up an appointment so that I can assist you in making arrangements. I'm so sorry for your loss." I understand that this is a business and that push comes to shove, it's about them making money, but you do need to have a level of compassion for those that just lost a loved one. Needless to say, we've decided to go elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately, we lost our son recently. We had stone funeral coordinate services with our local church and then cremate our sons body. From the moment we walked in, we knew that Debbie and Eric would take care of us. More importantly, they would take care of our son in the most dignified way possible. My mom passed very suddenly and we had no plans or any idea what to do. We asked the police where to go because we were clueless about anything having to do with this part of life, and they said their go-to was Stone. I am beyond grateful for our experience here. I dealt with Debbie first and she was so kind to answer all of my panicked and ignorant questions on the phone. She even helped and gave me advice when I asked her opinion. Then we dealt with Jacob to organize the cremation and details. He was so very kind, friendly, and helpful. He didn't blink twice when I asked him about every charge/fee or even when I asked the "awkward" questions about next steps. Our loved one was picked up by this funeral home Never let us know there would be a cost for body removal. When we got the call from Deborah the first thing she wanted to know is what where the arrangement plans for our loved one. We let her know that she would be taken to a different mortuary and the only thing she said , "it will be six hundred plus dollars for the removal of the body". after signing the release of our loved one to the mortuary where she would be taken, Stone funeral in Upland gave them the run around making the drivers first stop at the Upland location, there being told that the body had been sent to the Ontario location. Once driver arrived at Ontario location, then was told the body was not there, it was at the Glendora location. Very unfortunate this company is unprofessional and very dishonest. Thank God we never signed any papers, therefore by law we were not obligated to pay. For anyone considering this funeral please, please be careful. They just want your money!! read more

Dear Upland neighbors. Please proceed with caution. Stone funeral home is a "for profit" business. This is perfectly fine until you see their price sheet. Billing rates are excessive! And if you think you'll spend less going to Drapers, guess again, they are both owned by the same parent company. Also be advised, if you call Stones to pick up a deceased loved one and then decide you can't afford their fees, they will charge you $2600 to release the body to a different (less expensive) mortuary. Does this seem excessive to you? And if you are interested in having Costco provide your casket, be prepared to hear how caskets arrive damaged/defective. Simply not true. Comments like this scare grieving family members into paying three times more for Stone funeral home caskets. It's all a big racket! I was very disappointed. read more

My father passed away on July 26, 2017 and my mother had prepared the funeral arrangements ahead of time. We worked with Amie and she was a blessing to our family. She loves her job and she made the experience as difficult as it was more easier to deal with because she was so exceptional and assisting. She explained everything thoroughly and kept me informed throughout the whole process about what to do. I would definitely recommend this funeral home because they really care and I'm sure the rest of the staff demonstrates the same professionalism and care that Amie does but make no mistake Amie made this experience the best under the circumstances. read more

My father was supposed to be cremated today and he was not. now it has been put off five more days. I had to fill out all these documents to get the process started, my first copy of the paperwork given to me was incorrect. It took 4 days just to receive the paperwork at all. I took care of it immediately, returned it to them in a couple hours, as I live out of state, and Jacobs supervisor proceeded to yell saying it was my fault he didn't get cremated in time because my paperwork took too long, even after Jacob admitted to dropping the ball on getting the permit. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. And it saddens my soul that my family has chosen this company and now it is too late for me to make things right and I have no choice but to proceed with them. We are in mourning and you are making things harder for us when it is your job to help ease us through this extremely difficult time. I just witnessed my father pass away. Your company is terrible, unprofessional, and I am greatly disappointed in you. Please, if you are reading this, choose another company to help you through your loss. read more

My husband passed on March14th, 2018.We had made arrangements in advance but found it necessary to change them a bit. Amie was so very kind and patient with us offering help and advice. The gentlemen that came to take my husband to Stone's were also very kind and professional. The day of the Memorial Service Amie made us all feel that we were her only priority. People are professional, however it is pricey. If you make a memorial DVD on an apple computer, their DVD player will not play it. You will need to make one on a PC. read more
