Every encounter I've had with Bellevue has been 5 stars. My father was buried here and they took very good care of us. My older sister and I had to come and make the decisions due to my mom not being able to. They were very helpful and patient and kind. I remember like it was yesterday. My Dad passed away in 2020 and I've come to visit his site, leave flowers, talk with him or just sit there. When I have called the office being that there are wasps, they are very prompt to send the grounds men to take care of the situation. The mausoleum is always clean. The sinks for getting water for your flowers as well. There is always the flower holder arms? Available to use. It does have a funny smell but that's pretty normal I would think. I have sat in the mausoleum for a bit when there are families visiting near my Dad to give them privacy. Thankful for Bellevue being local and able to stop and visit my Papa when I can. One thing I would advise, if visiting with fresh flowers, invest in some plant clippers, as you may need to trim the stems of the flowers and roses. read more

Our family could not have been through a worse nightmare of my mother's death... or so we thought... until we hired Bellevue Memorial Park for my mother's internment. Bellevue Cemetery showed us an unimaginable lower level of hell on earth. It is inconceivable that "funeral professionals" could be so careless, haphazard, and inhumane in the basic bookkeeping duties of their contract. My mother, our family and friends, and NO ONE would ever deserve such neglectful and uncaring service as the Bellevue Cemetery staff showed us. Their treatment was so heartless and deeply painful, we have abandoned our family plot at Bellevue Cemetery and established more respectful places to remember our deceased family members. The internments in our family plot at Bellevue Cemetery-Ontario were a waste of time and money investments. We have lost count of how many times we gathered at our family plot to remember our loved ones and had to change plans to regather elsewhere because we arrived to find a soccer game being played on the southwestern property graves. Call the office to request more efficient weekend monitoring of the property, and you will immediately find out how unimportant you are after you have paid your bill in full. We hope others will learn from our VERY painful and expensive lesson. If you are in a mindset during mourning that you are capable of taking on a deeper valley of a living hell, by all means call on Bellevue Cemetery...and prepare yourself with a plentiful supply of prescribed antidepressants; you're in for an insulting, frustrating, and living hell you couldn't imagine. read more

Office are very unprofessional. My mother's monument was done and fee was paid for until they, later, came to drop it off. Mary did not allow the monument to be delivered because a fee was missing. This was not mentioned prior. She had stated everything was good to go. Now my mother's monument is delayed. Overall, service was not pleasant from the start. Folks, Just remember the name Mary Gonzales, she is a Family Service Counselor at Bellevue. She is knowledgeable and has been with Bellevue for many many years, experience, thoughtful, sincere, compassionate, kind and is very clear with communication. Mary is Just what we needed when making plans on my final resting place . My advice is to select Mary for your consultation. I felt so good with my contract after leaving my appointment with her. She answered all my questions and even brought to my attention things that I didn't even know to ask. My husband was pleased with her too, and he enjoyed that she acknowledged his service in the Military/Marine(Vietnam Veteran) "I spoke to another counsel there at Bellevue who didn't even say thank you to him for his service" (my husband took 3 bullets). My Mom's service was today from the church she was taken to Bellevue Memorial park for a graveside service and burial at her final resting place the service was really nice but then the 2 groundskeepers came and went above and beyond to comfort me and my family and I just want to thank these two young men for their compassion and kindness and thank you Bellevue Memorial Park for employing these two men I wish I would've caught their names but with my mind and heart aching I didn't but I just want to say thank you to them for their hard work and kindness. read more

Very impressed with their above & beyond customer service. I had never been to this cemetery until I found some family through Ancestry DNA. I met a Great Aunt at the location to visit the final resting place of my Great Grandmother. One of the groundsmen, Manuel, saw us searching and offered his assistance to locate our loved one. When we found it, the headstone was very weathered and not readable. Manuel was very kind & took the time to get it all cleaned up, making it look new again, while exchanging stories. I lost my mommy on 1/8/2021 and she was laid to rest here.. Her services were so beautiful but what was comforting was the way Manuel made sure everything went smoothly ... as she was being laid to rest ... he was so careful .. he really took the time to guide his crew on how and what to do ... He then put the sod and all her flower arrangements so carefully and when completed he approached us and gave his warm sympathy and condolences which was very thoughtful of him ... I have seen him on occasions when I visit my mommy and .. he's still very helpful always makes my family and I feel my mommy is well taken care of and he's always making sure everything is running smooth and always helping others .. read more

Manager Kelley B. wow! Completely unprofessional, and just RUDE over the phone in July 2020. We spoke to Kelley regarding the possibility of planting a tree at the western end of Sunset Courtyard where our loved one is buried. Our family spends A LOT of time at the cemetery, we are talking daily visits, and there is not a tree in sight. Kelley was completely rude while merely asking about possibly planting a tree, we couldn't even finish our sentence as she just kept shutting us down saying "no no , could you imagine if we just planted a tree everywhere someone wanted it " Our family has several plots in sunset courtyard, obviously in hindsight we should have paid attention to the trees / shade due to sudden/ tragic loss of our loved one. Over the last couple months in sunset courtyard , they actually have been replacing some of the old trees with new trees, which is exactly why we called now, to see if we could get one in our vicinity. There was just no reason for this manager to be so rude. A simple "I'm sorry, we can't accommodate that request" with an explanation would do it. But like we said, she wouldn't even allow us to finish our sentence, just kept interrupting us "no, no". On a separate note, Mary Helen was very pleasant over the phone, tried to help the best she could. Also Manny in maintenance is awesome and very caring. Also, this review is one star solely due to Kelleys behavior, not a reflection of the cemetery. Overall we do like Bellevue. read more

But the person who stood out for the family was GIO the grounds keeper who also prepared the urn for burial! I want to say how impressed I was with his kindness, gentleness and professionalism in preparing to bury the urn! And then after the burial he placed the marker back in place so politely and he even came back a few minutes later to clean the marker for the family! I chose to have my father interred at Bellevue, as his mother originally chose this cemetery for her wishes. I worked with Mary Helen. I wish I could say the entire process was streamlined, organized, and overall pleasant but unfortunately it was the opposite. Mary Helen seemed welcoming and attentive upon arrival but soon revealed herself as a disorganized mess. It took multiple meetings to organize what would be considered pretty basic options. She never responded to emails and couldn't seem to recall simple details or follow through with any of her obligations. I ended up having to contact management to receive my fathers bronze plate proof so that it could be finally ordered. It is going on 100+ days since my fathers interment with this facility and we still don't have his memorial plate and were given a new expected date 40 more days out. (We moved his mother and reordered her plate at the same time, hers arrived weeks ago, both of which were allegedly ordered at the same time "allegedly"). I get mistakes happen, things don't always go smoothly, but this has literally been mismanaged every step of the way. Please avoid Mary Helen as your family members representative at Bellevue. read more

Not to be confused with Draper Mortuary, who I believe, did an excellent job. I know the cemetery is a business, but to assume they knew what I wanted upset me tremendously. The representative, Lori, was very rushed and didn't even ask about my wishes. She wrote up the ticket and handed it to us, expecting us to pay it, and it wasn't even what we wanted. When I expressed to her that I had questions and I was concerned she acted like I was inconveniencing her. After we finished at the cemetery I returned to Draper Mortuary. I voiced my concern and was told that it wasn't an uncommon complaint. Unfortunately I didn't have another choice due to a non-transferable prepayment. read more

When my father passed away I was feeling lost and uncoordinated due to what I was feeling. We made an appointment with Helen and she helped us arrange my fathers services and she explained everything thoroughly. The cemetery is beautiful as they allow decorations and allow time for decorations to remain in place for holidays. My only complain which I do believe is out of their control, although I wish they had some type of security or patrol, my fathers decorations have been stolen several times. This is very upsetting and heartbreaking. We leave items to show our love for my dad and come back to find his stuff stolen is so upsetting. People should have more respect for the dead and items left behind by loved ones... read more

It is Sunday, 6/17/18 my family and I came to the cemetery to bring my father-in-law flowers for Father's Day to only get there to find the grass so long my family was tripping over it as they were trying to make our way to his grave site. It is so disgusting that the owner of Bellevue could be so heartless to not do the upkeep so that when family comes to visit their loved one it is enjoyable but instead heart breaking. As you could imagine there were many families there this morning and we all had the same complaint. With the money that is spent there, I don't believe it is asking to much for the lawn to be kept up. I gave this place one star ONLY because it makes you give at least one however I would much rather prefer to give NO stars at all. read more

It is not easy to plan a funeral for the loss of a loved one. However, I was very pleased with the support given to us at Bellevue Memorial Park. Lorraine Martinez drove us around the lot to pick the perfect spot that one can feel rather than point to something on a map. She was professional, courteous, and provided pricing for a headstone without pushing us to hurry up and purchase it. For the headstone, I made an appointment with someone else as Lorraine was out of the office. The lady walked in with another family, did not acknowledge me until 25 mins later when she walked out to make a copy. I was preparing to leave after 30 minutes, when I asked Linda Marra if she could help me as I only wanted to order a headstone and I knew exactly which one I wanted. Linda was very friendly and apologetic and I got the kind, professional service that I know Bellevue Memorial strives for. The lady that I had an appointment with could have acknowledged me right away, perhaps told me to visit my aunt while I was waiting and/or offer to text me when she would be ready, or even offer to have someone else help me. Instead she neglected me even though I had made the appointment that morning. Perhaps she was more interested in the commission. So very disappointed in this cemetery, which used to be beautiful and well cared for. I buried my mother there in January. Shortly thereafter, the ground on her grave started sinking in spots, causing huge holes. Then, that area was getting no watering, so it was covered in brown weeds. So heartbreaking! I went in and spoke to the manager and he said it would be remedied. Two weeks later, absolutely nothing had been done! I sent an email and got no response, but the holes were filled in and they had put down grass seed. Still, it got no water, so the seeds haven't germinated after a month. I sent another email. No response. It's inexcusable! Their contract says they will keep the grounds nice. They don't! The whole park has huge areas of brown due to a faulty watering system. I have purchased my own plot there, but I will certainly not be buried there! Shameful. read more

We have several family members at Bellevue and we have been very pleased with the service we received. Lori and the entire staff did everything over and above to make our family comfortable. Lori was able to get us through a very difficult time and even made special Accommodations to put our precious Grandchild in a special place. In 2015 Funeral for my Mom went off without a hitch. However, we used another vendor, Garcia Mortuary. But when it came time to order the headstone, all we've gotten is incorrect answers, a cashed check, but no headstone ordered. It is evident by working with some of the office staff members that they are not very computer savvy. After going through the order process via email, due to our location, we find after a month and half that the headstone was never ordered. They claimed to have left several voice messages, which we never received. They have our email address, so why they didn't try and contact us this way is beside me. I would think that in the funeral business it is a business of caring and compassion. Where you go above and beyond to comfort the grieving families not cash the check and ignore. The only reason we used this cemetery is because it was my mother's wish to be in the same place as several other family members, including her mother, father, best friend, nephew, and sister-in-law. But after dealing with this cemetery I'm not in the least bit impressed with the service, staff, and lack of follow-up. We'll see if they come through to rectify this matter and get the headstone ordered and set, but to what extent remains to be seen. Check back for a follow-up review. read more

A fine old cemetery. I like to attend the Memorial Day observance here each year, and then walk among the stones on the east end- some dating way way back. Beautifully tended. The memorials in the older section are beautiful works of art, displayed under spreading trees. A nice veterans section, and they place flags on each vet's grave each Memorial Day. I can't decide between one or two stars, so I will be nice and go with two. My family used this place for a service for a relative. Pros: Nice room where the service is held. Employees are friendly overall. The Hersts they have are very elegant and the way the body was handled in and out of it was very respectful, as you would expect. Easy place to find and not too complicated to navigate. Cons: Lawn needs more maintenance, too many weeds growing. This place is a little more expensive than others around. Not enough comfortable parking outside of the service building. Here is my reason for the two stars: We had our relative embalmed. This was against my wishes, but it was what my mother wanted. During the service, I finally worked up the courage to see my relative in the coffin and I was shocked. Utterly shocked. I could not believe that whoever the embalming "artist" was did not call my family to suggest or warn that it would be best to have a closed casket. Maybe my mother would have said no, but at least we would have been warned. My relative was very disfigured (even though there was no reason for that) and the skin color was completely off, which is the main thing I noticed as I watched from far away when they opened the casket. I felt it was extremely irresponsible of the funeral home to allow us to view the body in that state without any previous warning. I have seen embalming before and I understand it is a very difficult thing to do, but if you didn't "pull it off," then warn the family. You have a picture of what the person looked like before, you cannot expect for everyone not to notice and not be distraught by it. The work I have seen in the past was very good, and this was nowhere near that. How am I supposed to forget seeing something like that now for the rest of my life? Another thing that really irritated me was the priest that came with the package deal. Maybe this was my family's fault for not trying to find our own. He took ALL the time of the service, talking about nonsense that had nothing to do with my relative. Not talking about my relative at all, which is what I thought is what happens at a service. Instead, all he did was some kind of general church service and trying to make everyone feel guilty for not going to church. Why didn't he try to find information about my relative so he could speak about that? Why take ALL the time during the service and impede other people from saying a few words because time was up? Oh and to top it off, he tried to sell CDs of the horrible music he was playing during his "sermon" at the end. It was extremely rude! read more

But this seems to be like this every time we bring flowers. David N Hepburn the CEO decided that Christmas time is no longer a sacred time for families of loved ones at this cemetery. Not only that, he made an "executive" decision that affects EVERY family who has someone buried here without the respect and courtesy of a notice to the families. Every year, families have been able to decorate gravesites for Christmas with the decorations being left up for a few weeks. But this year, the NEW CEO David, decided no more! The cemetery had to be cleared of all things Christmas or holiday from the grave-sites each week and all Christmas decorations were thrown out. If I hadn't gone into the office to ask a question, I would not have overheard a sweet couple who went in to ask about their decorations being taken, they thought they were stolen, I would never have known. This couple was told the new policy & the "section cleaning dates" and were told that decorations are no longer going to be left up. All their things were thrown out!!!!! No warning, no notice. Just preying I'm grieving families pain by doing something so heartless! I was so shocked and offended & became distressed because I had just placed Christmas plants & decor for my loved ones thinking they would be left up as always. I couldn't go back to take them out. I know they were thrown out the next day- Making a decision without the concern or care of families. I called ALL the other local cemeteries and asked if they too made this change- and no they did not. They respect families. The only cemetery doing this, thanks to David, is Bellevue. A cemetery that until today, I felt at peace having many of my loved ones there. Please- if you think this is wrong- voice your concerns. We have a right to know of any decision or policy change that is going to impact families and we were given none! Bellevue- Shame On you. The only reason you have 1 star is because without it, I could not write this review. Beware before you decide to bring your loved ones here. Sorry I accidentally sent the precious update before I wrote it. Just want to say that Bellevue has changed their policy on flower placement. But unless you go into their office and bring it up, you wouldn't it. It's only because I went in to ask for a flower vase for my parents and brought up their flower policy that I was told they changed it. Though I'm happy to see this change, I do not agree with all their policy - but more than that, I believe they owe every family the courtesy of notifying them by mail. read more

My parents are both buried here at this memorial park and I have a couple complaint first off someone took the flower cup from the grave and to get a replacement they charged me $ 10.00 also for the past three years I have been complaining to the office about the brown grass around the grave of my parents and so far nothing has been done to alleviate the problem read more

The cemetery is historic and beautiful. The staff is quick to get your initial paperwork started. After that I had a hard time getting my emails and phone calls returned. I booked the burial date for my parents ashes 7 weeks out. The day came to bury my parents and when I got there they told me i had no permit to bury my dad, just mum. Kelly (the manager) did get the permit taken care of during our service. Our service was interrupted repeatedly to take care of business. Kelly is obviously not a people person and deals with people as a business. Their website claims to CARE. I didn't get this courtesy. Compassion burnout is a thing. Covid19 has made lots of money for those in the death business. I met with another Bellevue associate who took my money with a smile. She claimed they have been overwhelmed with 7-11 services a day. When I called after the service to inquire on the grave marker i was told very rudely by the same once smiley associate who took my check, "it takes a few weeks to get the draft." I was so taken aback by the tone of her voice i shut down and did not ask the follow up questions like when was the process started, etc. It would be advisable for them to hire more compassionate people or send them for a compassion burnout therapy and organizational training. It would have been wonderful to receive a call days before the service to confirm all that was to come and every detail taken care of prior to the burial date. Because I keep hitting brick walls with the employees and do not feel valued as a client i contacted the State of California and lodged a complaint. I don't like doing these kinds of things however I feel its my last hope to establish communication to complete the burial of my parents with the installing of their burial marker. I wish the employees at Bellevue the best. The grounds crew are the nicest and kindest employees at the cemetery. Unfortunately the office uses them as their communication to clients out in the park. It would have been professional for office staff to come out to talk to me. As kind as the grounds crew is they don't communicate in a fashion office staff does. We lost our wonderful uncle recently and he was put to rest here. I had many questions and concerns as we were having a small memorial for our Uncle and very concerned about the pandemic. Both Kelley, the manager, and a staff member, Fabio (Spelling) spent a lot of time answering our questions and addressing our concerns. They were professional, compassionate, and the experience was calming and reassuring during this sad time. We had US Navy Representatives who honored our Uncle as well. As they promised, the Mausoleum where we met, and our small group met the health standards of what is going on in our country right now. Their staff wore masks, everyone was distancing, chairs were set apart, the restroom was clean, everything sanitized, the building was very large with open corridors, and very open. All in all, this sad time was honored and respected by this excellent team. We are grateful. read more

My name is Tim Fuhrman, I have done contract Work for Bellevue since the 90's, this facility is a first class operation, the staff are truly dedicated to there profession, from the Management, sales staff to the maintenance department, and security. I have always had great dealings with all staff. Randy Inlow General Manager is a great person, always looking out for the Cemetery, it is an historical part of the IE, that dates back to the turn of the century. The past General management, just did not do as much as Randy, since his employment, the painting and restoration of the grounds and Mausoleum was implemented, adding 3 colors to the tired old Mausoleum as well as turning the two tired old chapels into warm sanctuaries for family members to have services and wakes. Several gardens were added, and niches as well as a water reclamation to conserve the high cost of watering. It is a wonderful old historical crematory, with a great history, several of the local city historical figures are burried there, Bellevue always has something going on and calibrates it's veterans. I am proud to work with such a top notch professional organization when they need my services. read more

A lot of my family including my baby little boy are buried there and I have never been happy. There is always trash and dead grass around the gravesides. The hours are ridiculous. It doesn't get dark until 8:00pm in the summer and they still close early. It's too hot during the day to visit our loved ones. They are so strict in what you can have and do at the cemetery. I have been to many cemeteries and you can have almost anything you wish. So disappointed. read more
