I have had nothing but problems with this location. I got a pair of glasses about 4 years ago and the customer service was terrible. The ladies at the counter seemed like I was a bother to them instead of offering great customer service. I train employees on the importance of good customer service. Today I called to make an appointment for my daughter to get an exam and new glasses. The first time I called I went to some kind of mailbox. So I got online and checked the phone number and it was the correct one. So, I called back and got a phone tree and pressed one for appointments and guess where my call went, back to the mailbox of someone? It must be tough to pay employees if no one is even answering the phones! read more

I'm thankful to have such a great optometrist so close to home! Such a great experience from the moment you walk in the door. Everyone is extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable - you are in good hands here! I personally have Dr. Adcock as my optometrist and she is absolutely wonderful. She takes the time to explain everything and makes sure to give you options when necessary; I am trying out monthly contacts for the first time ever and she made sure to let me know how easy it would be switch to my other normal bi-weekly contacts if these don't work out! For glasses, there's an enormous selection of frames to choose from, even for guys! I had no trouble at all finding a pair that was perfect for my strong prescription. The opticians they have on staff are all so helpful, and they spend quality time with you to make sure you're getting the best frame, with the best lenses, at the best price possible. TSO lost a customer today based on their unreasonable office policy, I will not agree to pay a 40 percent up charge on uncollected fees. I am very disappointed that they feel it necessary to have customers sign a contract agreeing to pay this before being seen. read more

What a great optometry practice. They have state of the art equipment and use it well. They do normal testing and suggest or offer additional test if they feel they are needed. The entire staff and the doctors are friendly and very competent in what they do. The prescriptions and care I've received over several years (8+) has always been great. The best part of using them on a long term basis is their great electronic records system. The ability to get your prescriptions and see appointments via the web is a real convenience, they even send reminder emails reminding you it's time to reschedule each year. No pushing, just a nice reminder that we all could use. read more

I have to say that Stonehill Optical is nothing what I expected them to be. They have had horrible customer service. When I call, I have to call 2-5 times just to get through to someone. I have called a few times for urgent matters and they were not helpful nor friendly at all. Each time I was told that one of the doctors would call me back and never received a call back. I thought this would be a good fit for my family, but unfortunately with the bad customer service/experience that we've had, we will be looking for a new practice to go to. I have been going to Stone Hill Optical now for 3 years and will never go anywhere else. Dr. Nguyen figured out why I was seeing double when no one else could seem to figure it out. It was a few tweaks of adding a prism to my lens and all was corrected. Dr. Nguyen is very personable and takes time to explain everything and you don't feel rushed. Great doctor!! The eye glass tech. (sorry, I forgot his name), was very patient and so nice and helped me decide on what lenses would be best for me. He had answers to every question I had. Such an asset to their company. The stronger prescription, thinner, progressive lenses do take longer to get in because they send them to Germany, so expect a longer wait unless your lenses don't have a strong prescription and very thin lenses. I chose the high end lenses, so Germany makes them. Otherwise, it will take about 10 days for normal lenses. read more

I am extremely disappointed in this location. They take advantage of a person's health condition to charge more. They did not process properly, I called to complain in January, they reversed charges. Now 6 months later and they are trying to bill again. They do not know how to properly handle insurance claims. I would be careful when using this location. I popped in there on a whim because my glasses were uncomfortable. I thought I might get some suggestions, but they replaced the nose pads on my glasses and didn't even charge me. I was referred to this TSO location by the Dell Laser Consultants. My initial visit was very positive. Their office was very clean and staff were courteous. I saw Dr. Snowberger on my first visit and he was very energetic and upbeat. I think he was even more excited about my eye surgery than I was! They were very clear with my treatment plans and I felt very prepared. After the surgery, I saw Dr. Adcock (due to scheduling availability) but she was equally professional and nice. I continued to see Dr. Adcock afterward for my monthly checkups. I recently went back for my 6 month checkup and each visit has been very positive and I would recommend this location to anyone! read more

I have been coming to this place for the last 5 years, even before it was called Stone hill optical. Recently in the past year I have had a few bad experiences with buying lenses. First, if you mention you don't want to buy the name brand lenses, you are automatically treated differently as if your experience there is not a priority. Second, I was in there yesterday and I thought warranty would cover a missing lense but it doesn't and that's fine, but the associate I was dealing with assumed that that was it, sized me up, then said to have a nice day. Only, I wasn't done, or done speaking. I still needed to fix my insurance. After telling her about my new insurance, which she questioned, and asked me questions that only a rep would know, and made me feel really dumb for not knowing, I got my prescription printed out on top of that. She then awkwardly paused, starred at me and said "so, what are we doing here? Is that all?". That was my last time stepping into that office. I've recommended this place for so many years and now I really regret it. These guys used to be really good in 2013. read more

I was immediately greeted by Severa, and she was a true delight. I was very impressed with her explaining any and all information to me. Very professional. I needed new glasses in preparation for a business trip. I have a hard time finding people who, 1. Accept my insurance and 2. Have wider sized frames. I called ahead to make sure they accepted my insurance (they told me yes they did), and that they stock a brand called Chesterfield which has wide sized lenses. I took off work since they close at 6PM and drove 30 mins to their closest location. Turns out they don't actually accept my insurance. Worst customer service. read more

The Manager definitely has to work on her customer service skills. The body language she demonstrated was extremely disrespectful.. So bad, it nearly had me run out of there (I might have, actually). 5 stars to Dr. Adcock and overall service from all their employees. They have more designer frames for women vs men. Target for example had more of a selection on designer frames for men, so I went over there found the pair I wanted and had SHO order them with no problem. Another plus is SHO is an in network provider for a lot of insurances which brings down cost significantly -- always verify in network vs out of network. read more

We have been going to Stone Hill Optical for the last 6 years, It's a drive for us, but well worth it. I trust them, Dr. Nguyen is really good, has lots of patience with me. They now have a machine that does not require them to dilate your eyes, it's awesome not having to have that done. I wanted to add to my review because this time I took my 4 yr old daughter for a check up. I wouldn't have thought that a child could fit in at a regular office (our doctor recommended a pediatric optometrist) but the staff and Dr. Snowberger were great! They were patient and comforting with her. They even got her to do the "puff" glaucoma test without incident! I was so impressed with our experience.
