They ripped me off by not giving me the stone sealer I payed for. When I asked for it they treated me like a criminal. I purchased 1 gallon for a bathroom and they forgot to put it with my order. They said I signed the receipt so they don't have to give it to me. They don't care about their customers. read more

Just Stay away from this company! In my case, it was the worst transaction I've had, ever. The carrier could not deliver the product because stone-mart pack the pallets to heavily and, instead of recognizing the mistake, just covered it with lies. So if you want to be robbed, go ahead and call stone-mart. read more

So let me start by saying I was super excited that stone Mart has weekend hours. It's hard for me to make it to businesses that are only open 9 to 5 Monday through Friday when that is basically my work schedule. My husband and I made a special trip out here on Sunday to look at the available options they had to re-face our fireplace. When we walked in there was no one at front no one to be found so we helped our selves and walked around looking at the tile displays. We found the section with tile that could be used to reface our fireplace and compared our options. About 10 minutes after we arrived A young lady showed up and said hello. When we asked her a few questions about the products she told us that she didn't have the knowledge to assist us but would have someone call us on Monday if we liked. I asked her if A type of Stackstone that I liked was in stock she said yes. I then asked her if I wanted to purchase it today would I be able to. She then said no because the warehouse isn't open. So I'm able to get in and look at your options but there's no knowledgeable people here that I can ask realistic questions about install & product to. Also The warehouse is closed so I can't purchase the product. So basically I wasted a trip out here to be called back on Monday ( which by the way it's 2pm & nobody's called) and have to come back when the warehouse is open during the same time that I have to work. I give Stone Mart 2 stars because they at least have made an effort to be open on Sunday but it does me no good if nobody there can help me. We also decided since we were close by to a another tile/stone warehouse we would make a trip down there afterwards and we found the same product for two dollars less a square foot with a very helpful and available salesman who answered all of our questions. read more

We ordered and paid for select travertine and got a very low grade product which was in no way select. As we had no way of examining all the tiles as they were on a pallet we didn't know this until after the install. The tiles also looked nothing like the sample we bought from them. Within three days of install using the recommended DOT grade sand the pavers started bleeding through the top half of the tiles and upon further inspection most of the tiles were full of holes and filled with some type of epoxy product I'm assuming so they could be sold as a select grade product when they should have been sold as a mid grade travertine. The epoxy that they used to fill the holes was breaking down and bleeding through. We were told that they never used filler in their product but when they came to our home the manager admitted that the tile did in fact have filler and we were told that they would rectify the problem and replace some of our tiles (I have the emails that state this) but we had to have them installed at our expense. As we had already paid for the installation, we did not agree with having to pay twice for installation of the substandard product. We were lied to time and again saying that they would take care of our problem and replace the tiles. After several months of going back and forth they stopped taking my phone calls, lied about not getting messages, said they called me when they never did and finally told me that the slope of our pool deck was the cause of the problems even though our sloping plan had been done by a licensed civil engineer with a slope greater then the TCNA recommends. When buying tile from them, they make you sign a form that in essence says they can give you a bad product and there is nothing you can do about it. I have bought travertine on three occasions from other vendors in the area. Unfortunately the product we wanted was not available from the other vendor, who does not make you sign something that says they can sell you garbage and there is nothing you can do. On two of those instances the product was not a select product and one was and all three of the other products make the "select" product we got from Stone-Mart that we paid an arm and a leg for look like junk. The product we received in no way looked like the product in their showroom or the sample we bought. Had I been able to not give a star I would. This company has horrible customer service, unprofessional employees and deceptive sales tactics. They sell things at premium prices when they are in fact low grade products. read more

Be careful when you take travertine off the lot. If it's junk and you take it back they'll make you throw it in their dumpster and buy new travertine. They will not take any returns. Horrible experience! read more

We have been dealing with Stone Mart for several years now. Unlike others suppliers we have worked with in the past, Stone Mart is always well stocked. Their pricing allows our customers easily upgrade to a travertine product. They also have a first class showroom inside and outside at their Tampa location. The sales rep we work with is Tom Gibson. Jim responded quickly to my questions and connected me to Karla to help me view the products at the Tampa location. Both were very collaborative and answered my questions quickly. The Stone-Mark product is fabulous. There are so many choices that can fit every home. We love it in our home in Florida and have chosen to put it into our home in Connecticut. I can't tell you how many people come into our home and comment on how fabulous the floor and shower look because of Stone-mart's travertine. I wanted the carpet installed immediately after I closed . I went to The Carpet Store to pick out and purchase carpet. I went early on a Saturday morning. This place is a warehouse not really a "store". Several people were available to help fairly quickly. One to take the plans I brought in and attempt to measure, the other to help us select carpet. I did not know what I was getting myself into because I had no idea there were so many options and the entire process was confusing. From which brand, which material, which padding and the most difficult decision, which color... I was not prepared but I knew I was making a decision that day. Two hours later, I knew a bit more about carpet and padding and stain resistance, etc. We put down a $1000 deposit so they would make an appointment to measure which was scheduled the next week, once they measured, the carpet was ordered and took about a week and half to come in. Long story short, we did not close on the Townhouse and were refunded $750 of the $1000 deposit that was for approximately $3000 worth of carpet. We have about 6 months to use the $250 credit. I am giving 4 stars because this was a difficult process and I have nothing to compare to. The Carpet Store did a pretty good job helping us through it he process. I think!

When we got around to opening up the wood, we discovered they shipped the wrong product! My order was correct and the invoice was correct. They just pulled the wrong product. For this, they get 1 star. HOWEVER, when I brought this to their attention, they admitted fault and didn't lay any blame at my feet. Less than 36 hours later, they picked up the wood and started the process of a refund. Because they took ownership of the problem and apologized for the error, they get 3 stars back. If they were a local business, I would do business with them again. We are all human and mistakes happen. They at least took responsibility for the error.

It seems these days customer service is a thing of the past. We have shopped many stores where face to face people seemed bothered to help. To be fair not all but many. We recieved oustanding customer service from Stone Mart. From the pleasant receptionist (Suzanne) to Doug who handled our shipping and most notably Jay Hearn who personally oversaw every aspect of our modest order, our experience was handled quickly and extremely proffesionally. Jay quickly shipped free samples so that we could verify the color and thickness of the travertine we wanted to order. I wont use any other company for our future orders. I believe in supporting the folks who take care of you best. The tile quality is great and the company is better. Thank you Jay. Travertine is stone. The same color crayon isnt used on every piece. Inconsistencies are the consistent. Maybe consider ceramic if variation isnt what you want. I'm also not a renowned landscaper but it seems there is rock just about anywhere in the world you look. I guess there is something to be said for sound installation. read more

Jeremy Cousin of Stone Mart was very helpful and patient in assisting us in understanding the purchase of the Travertine Tile. He offered suggestions and was very much interested in our project and also was interested in the outcome of the project as he kept in touch with us throughout the project. He sought to find us the best shipping rates and when we had broken tile he immediately processed our request so that the damaged tile would be replaced. My wife and I are very pleased with the services provided by Stone Mart and Jeremy Cousin as their sales agent. I would recommend Jeremy Cousin and Stone Mart to anyone who is looking for a fair deal and a person who very much knows about travertine and stone materials. Stone Mart is absolutely amazing, they have sold me travertine and marble for three of my houses. Their high end travertine and marble is an amazing value, it usually the same price as a low/mid-grade tile at Home Depot but adds 10x the value to the home. Their selection is amazing and every time I sell a house with their travertine and marble it dramatically increases the resell value and the houses don't last long on the market. One piece of advice when going to Stone Mart, ask for James. If he's busy with another customer, wait. James is a true expert in travertine and marble. He will get you exactly what you are looking for at a price you can't believe. The best part is he is 100% honest and never tries to upsell. read more

After disappointingly searching the big box home centers for marble tile, I came across Stone Mart. What a difference! Their selection is vast, as is their beautifully designed showroom. I was able to find the perfect tile at a very reasonable price. After delivery, I noticed some damaged pieces, which is not uncommon for natural stone. Mark, my salesperson, was very accommodating in exchanging the damaged tiles no questions asked. Overall, I would highly recommend Stone Mart for their great selection, reasonable prices and friendly knowledgeable staff. My husband and I are building our "dream" home and the process has been overwhelming to say the least. We knew we wanted Travertine pavers for our back and Travertine tile and marble for our baths. We lucked out when we found Stone-Mart and Karla. She has been wonderful to work with. She explained all the differences in the tiles, brushed, honed, chisled, etc...(they have great displays to help you visualize). I cannot recommend enough the service and personal touch Stone-Mart and his sales manager Jay provided me! I was in need of a single travertine deco drain that usually doesn't sell by the unit, Jay was able to help me procure the single unit, and he personally wrapped it and packaged it with such care to ensure it wouldn't be damaged during transit. Marilyn Guzman greeted us as we walked in, and without an appointment, she gave us a tour and explanation of their travertine products. I used Stone Mart for my new home build 5 years ago and needed some replacement material for a shower with a faulty drain. I was treated as professionally and as favorably this time (for a very small order) as I was when I placed the original large order. This is just extremely impressive in today's business culture. Found them on the internet, was shocked an actual person emailed me back after 9pm at night. Answered all my questions and samples arrived two days later. Ordered material and the samples were dead on. Installer ran short so we were worried about the tiles not matching, we went to the store and the sales rep actually took us into the warehouse to reassure us that the color range was the same. Had a great experience with my salesperson Jason. He helped me select the perfect pavers for my patio project. When I needed some more, due to a miscalculation on my part, I was able to pick up a exact match at the retail location. It was great working with sales rep Cheryl Valencia, she gave great advice and offered various options for us. She even personally went out and took images of the stones (wet and dry) since unfortunately we did not have time to receive samples. Delivery was quick and she even followed up with us afterwards. I'm surprised at the lower reviews because our experience was great. They were recommended by our pool re-model contractor and when we went in spoke to Jeremy who was very helpful answered all our questions. He took us out back and showed us what they had in the yard, and even saved us money by telling us about travertine they had at a special price. read more
