Being a fluffy chow chow, we wanted to avoid giving her a full bath & dry while on vacation, so I stopped in here to get some waterless shampoo. There was only one option, and one bottle left, so I had to take the plunge. Typically, a similar product costs anywhere from $4-8, but it was $13.50 at Agway, which was really disappointing. I thought about getting a bag of treats too, but the tiny bags were $8 and up. They have a huge storefront, and customer service was friendly, but I just can't get past the prices.

My 10 lbs. dog's life jacket broke and I was lucky enough to locate a replacement at Agway. I called and Mary was so patient and helpful. It was the 3rd store I had tried and was thrilled when she told me that they had a couple in stock. Drs. Fosters was going to take a week to get the replacement to us. I don't live here so it meant my dog being able to do water sports during our stay. Their prices were very reasonable too. Both Mary and the 2nd sales lady were kind to my paws child by asking first before giving him treats. [If you have a paws child - I'm sure you'll appreciate this] Agway had the largest selection of rubber boots at fabulous prices and gardening tools that were tempting.

I ordered a beautiful Hutch online that cost over $3000. It was my combined birthday/Christmas…read moregift from my husband. The delivery was curbside drop off. This item was not in stock so I knew I would be waiting a few months to get it. I was out of town when the call came that it was ready to be delivered. I instructed my husband to look it over before signing off with the delivery guy. When it came, my husband looked it over. Looked at the one installed shelf that was covered in protective wrap and did not see any scratches. He looked at the other shelves and there was no noticeable damage. This unit is massive and the delivery guy told my husband to look quickly because he had to go. It took 3 men to get it into our house. The delivery guy was not going to wait for all of this and told my husband to sign and he went on his way. This item was not damaged by us or the delivery. When I got back in town and started putting the shelves in I started to notice the top shelf, which is attached to the metal sides of the hutch, looked a little bowed. When I put the other shelves in, it became obviously clear that the top shelf was installed too tightly or not cut down enough. If you put a level on the shelf the middle part of the shelf does not touch the level. It is definitely noticeable when looking at the hutch. When I I contacted Addison West, they said they would contact the manufacturer. After a few back-and-forths she offered me $300 so that I could fix the shelf myself. I explained that it is not fixable because it is attached to the side and doing so would damage the unit. She informed me that when we signed off for it with the delivery man that we accepted it. I told her the hutch wasn't damaged, it was a lemon. That's a manufacturer messed up and they should never have sent it to us in the first place. There was no damage, it was just not built correctly and that the "damage" could not be noticed until you started putting the other shelves into the unit. Now she offered $400. No exchange of the unit and we are stuck with this expensive hutch. That is not as advertised. I think this is poor business practice, and would never use this company again.

In all of my three years at Middlebury College, it never crossed my mind to have plants in my room…read moreto spruce things up, pun unintended. Now that I am in my final year at Middlebury, I have been convinced to hop onto the plant craze by my fellow First@Midd co-leaders, Alyssa and Itzel. They came here with me to buy plants because it's so close by (with a car) and there are so many options here. I guess another caveat to my prior situation is that I don't have a car nor did I have friends with consistent access to a car, not until this year that is. Now things have changed, and I have car-owner friends! The lady working here, Jeannie, is so sweet and helpful. She has two sons in college that also needed plants for their dorm rooms too. Relatable! She answered our questions so gracefully and humorously to boot. My questions included: "Which is the best plant for a new plant parent?" and "How much do I need to water this?" I'm kind of new to this plant parenting business, but also not really (I've killed too many indoor plants too many ways). I bought a spider aloe (the easiest succulent of the ones I picked out), a moss, and two more succulents (one for each of my suite mates to match my aloe). Inspired by Itzel's "I want a rainforest in my room," so too do I want my suite to be full of lush, green life, breathing oxygen into our lives. In the mean time, the plants here are a good place to start your plant collection. Indoor and outdoor plants, they got them here. I do wonder though what happens to their business during the dead of winter.
