Just moved from NY been here three time each time has been a disappointment because I am obvi a glutton for punishment. First time the wife did my fill in and it was thin but neat. The second time I slacked off my nails and got a full set by one of the males there two on my nails broke in two days. Today I went back again!!! I just paid 90 dollars for a fill and a two mail repair'. I got yelled at too btw The tax was also $6 if you use a card!!
I've been going here for 10 years. They're my favourite, I even drive all the way out from west hartford now to come Back and have them do my nails and eyebrows. They're quick, they're kind, they know exactly what I want and they can match literally anything that I show them. They're my absolute favorites and in all the years I've been I've only ever needed one repair. I love the overall setting of the business too, I never feel uncomfortable or like I'm not wanted, it always has such a chill welcoming vibe.
I went in to get powder gel done on my own natural nails.. He didn't introduce himself first of all, then he started to undo the current color I had and doing all that stuff, when he started to put the color on I said wait where is the base coat like the white clear color he said oh no we don't do it like that.. so that was a red flag! And he proceeded to do it his way. At the end it was rough, not buffed properly, not shiny and looks like shit but hey that will be $50. Now I will add this pic to the review for you to see what happens about 10 days later .. as the nail grew out my nail was stuck to the polish / gel and I basically lost half my nail.. never again will I go to this business.. I cleaned the area well to prevent an infection.. and it was the worst experience at a nail salon.. they are not trained properly..
From the moment my friend and I arrived, they did not know any of the people's appointments waiting 10 minutes to enter. My friend and I had a manicure pedicure appointment and had to remind them multiple times we only wanted regular and not gel. While getting our pedicures, the bath was overfilled and water spilled onto my shoes, getting them soaking wet. Both our manicures and pedicures were done by unsanitized tools, poor quality, and nails are mostly ruined now. My male nail tech had poor hygiene and smelled. I could understand the passive aggressive insults he was saying the whole time about my friend and I. The woman's acrylics being clipped next to me hit my arm while getting my manicure done.
Not your regular mall type nail salon, one of the best in Waterbury. My tech took her time making sure everything was smooth and even. This is definitely my new go to

Ryan and his wife do a great job but their entire staff is inexperienced and do a less than mediocre job. I went a few times when they first opened but stopped going when they started hiring more and more people who had no clue what they were doing and waiting over a half hour every time I had an appointment. I went back last weekend after not going for a few months hoping for a better experience but again, I waited 35 min when I had an appointment, three different nail techs worked on my nails ( 2 made me bleed)and my nails are all different lengths, thick and bumpy. My whole appointment took over 2 hours, I was so sick of waiting I just left with my horrible job and will go somewhere else to fix it. Rather than hiring more and more techs to bring in more customers at once, Ryan and his wife should focus on quality over quantity like they did in the beginning. Sadly- I won't be giving them another chance.

Wanted to try a new place and so I went with something basic. Refill and color only. The tech filled the nails okay but he made me bleed. Not cool. I told him to put a thicker coat on my middle finger because I could see a crack in the old acrylic under the new acrylic. He said the nail was fine. For sure the next day the middle finger nail cracked in half and so did the one next to it. I used a band aide to hold it up. I will not be returning to this place nor referring anyone here. They are playing people in the community for their hard earned dollar. I will not give my money out to pay for cheap products that do not hold. And have to pay again. And again. No. Poor customer service. Very unsatisfactory. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE
Do not even bother coming to this salon. They will make an appt with you and be starting someone's set at your appointment time. Not to mention they charge 100$ a set or more never less even for the most simple design (French) LANA is the absolute worst when it comes to her appointments she is NEVER on time and she does not appreciate CLIENTS at all. Even after making an appointment i showed up and she has someone else in her seat making ME wait over 40 mins i walked out i will not be coming here ever again and i will not recommend this salon to any friends or anyone. If i can give less then 1 star i absolutely would. THEY DO NOT RESPECT THEIR CLIENTS TIME.
HONESTLY IM NOT ONE TO COMPLAIN BUT IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD! IDEK WHERE TO BEGIN!!! This place is DISGUSTING! I was waiting for my French pedicure to dry and noticed I was sitting right next to ROACHES AND SPIDERS. I witnessed One of the workers chase and kill a different ROACH! Besides the Roach problem they fucked up my pedicure so bad it looked like a toddler did it! They cut my nails so short and didn't even ask me if I wanted them cut. Also BURNED me with there hot STAINED towel. And the man who did my pedicure so so rough and cut me multiple times. When I told the worker I did NOT like my nails he didn't care and kept saying the same thing RUDLY. "You pay" they tried to charge me 40$! For a regular pedicure. No gel just paint. I will never spend a penny in here again and I advise NO ONE to waste there time there in that dirty place!

I absolutely love love love Lilly!! French tips are my fav and she does them the best toes and nails. Retention for nails is over a month no lifting .. toes? Never look like they need to be filled ugh just love her!10/10 read more

Very nice salon! I got an acrylic set, with a pretty snowflake polish & a simple marble design on two fingers. They're very good with designs here & reasonably priced as well! The only down side was the nail tech didn't really ensure to keep my skin clean from all glue, powder, or filing debris from my nails. Usually after the whole process I've washed my hands & started with clean hands for the polish portion. However- he just kept brushing off the dust & debris- which was kinda uncomfortable. & plus I've got some glue remaining on my fingers and hands. But overall AMAZING! I loved it! read more

I wanted to come here so bad after seeing their Instagram page and I honestly was disappointed. My nails look ok but one hand of nails is longer and some nails are super thick and lumpy :( (hard to see in photos) might try going again read more

This place was amazing they gave me the nails I wanted and they were kind of professional but they cut me once and some of my nails are missing some spots of nail polish in the end I had lots of fun and they made my nails look gorgeous overall I'm happy with the look! I got a set from a different nail spot for my birthday yesterday and they were absolutely horrible. I came to Stone Nail Bar today to get a new set, and they did such an amazing job. The woman who worked on my nails, I believe her name was Lana, did such meticulous beautiful work. It took some time, well over an hour, but she removed the other set and blessed me with snatched claws This place has just a great atmosphere and the staff are all so kind. The woman who worked on my nails was seriously talented and I've never seen anyone with such a steady hand. It's a little pricey here, but it's totally worth it, I got a gel set removed and a new one put on with 2 colors for $60. I will definitely be back here in a few weeks for a fill! read more

First time at Stone Nail Bar and I'm pretty impressed! Very nice salon and obviously with an appointment, you'll be seated quick. I didn't like being taken care of two different people but I didn't expect less because I didn't book with anyone in particular. Although they could've done a better job with clean up but I love the way my nails came out! I will definitely be a regular. read more

Second time getting a full set of acrylics and they're perfect. Exactly what I asked for! Ryan took his time and made sure I was happy with each step of the process. This is the only place I'll go for a full set and I highly recommend! read more

I found Stone Nail Bar almost 1yr and 1/2 ago... I was on IG and found my nail tech Lana!! She is one of the owners and does bomb work! She takes appointments and the longest I ever waited was like 5-10 minutes to get seated at her chair. She texts me and she will give me a heads up if she needs to see me a little later or can take me earlier. I love that they send text confirmations for appointments and accept all forms of payment. Everyone wears a mask there too. Lana makes my nail dreams come true. There has never been an idea that Lana can't do. The only problem is that there is limited colors at the shop and I have to bring ideas from Pinterest to Lana. I love true art so just wish sometimes she would surprise me. But honestly she always gets me in and always makes sure I'm totally happy before leaving. Prices are great and my fills last 3 weeks to a month no issues! A lot of my friends go to Ryan who is Lana's husband but I find Ryan can get overly busy and Lana is very skilled and gives me a whole hour to myself. However, I wouldn't get my toes done again from the pedicure techs as I don't think they are skilled and often the toe polish cakes up. I could talk all day about how much I love Lana but the pictures prove how good her work truly is! read more

TERRIBLE! I went for a simple manicure i left looking like I needed a fill...They didn't even paint my whole nail LOL I left before the lady could even put a top coat on because I couldn't take it anymore. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would! read more

The staff is amazing, quick service. A bit pricey but worth it, my go to nail tech is Lana she's phenomenal If you show her a pic of nails that you want she will try her best to finesse it, either exactly the same or accurately similar. read more

was just in and the person that did my nails and it was only a fill that cost 45 which is high considering the website said 20 felt like she was rushing throgh my nails it was a glittery nail polish and only put two coats and you could tell parts of the nail got nothing and the nails are so sharp and they were so rough with my nails it was insane all in all nice looking but never will go back too expensive for unnecessary work I'll go back to my regular salon read more

The woman I normally go to, to cancel last minute because of a covid scare, which was obviously fine but i had 2 days to find a new nail salon before my upcoming vacation. A few of my friends recommended Stone Nail Bar but i was very hesitant because of the awful reviews. Sadly i trusted my friends and made the appointment. First of all, most of my friends recommend Ryan, who sounds like he does a great job, but he was all booked for the day. I needed a gel pedicure and the older woman who did it, did a okay good job. Other than barley massaging my feet (which i have ALWAYS had done with a normal pedicure at every nail salon ever) and literally ripping out my cuticles it was okay. But then, i got a different woman (i don't know her name) to do my nails. she was a sweetheart and seemed like she knew what she was doing, so i was going to ask for a design on my nails since i'm going to Disney and wanted a simple Mickey Mouse. Thankfully I waited because it went down hill from here. Although she was very nice, she kept missing my nail when using the file and when using the sander. It hurt SO bad but i sucked it up and didn't say anything. Then she decided to RIP out my cuticles and made me bleed on both of my thumbs and left me very red on all of my other fingers. When she saw me bleeding she acted shocked and then moved on and kept working as if blood wasn't all over my finger. She wiped it and started to put the color on. So i didn't ask for the design because i wanted to get out of there. All together It came out to 85 dollars without the tip. 100% not worth your money or time. Please go somewhere else or try out Ryan because i've heard nothing but good things about him. read more
