This place is a rip off! First of all, they would not let us use the Groupons I purchased for our GROUP. Groupon refunded the money. Thanks Groupon! Second, my organization was charged $366 for 3 people to bowl for about 75 minutes. I was fine with paying the deposit of $188 for the 3 people to bowl, but then I was charged an additional $188. Included in the charges was a line expense for extra shoes and a service charge of 60$. We did not order any food. In fact, the one guy who did purchase food bought from the bar and generously tipped the bartender. I reserved the space for a potential group of 30 ppl. My org provides free events for people who are in recovery from substance use disorder. All events are FREE to team members with 48hrs of sobriety. Sometimes we have 30 ppl show up, and sometimes we have 3 ppl attend our events. That's why I bought the Groupons, so that we cld use however many we needed. Like I said, I was happy to pay the $188 to reserve the space . I get needing to staff and reserve space for a group. I am complaining about the extra charges for food service, the refusal to honor a Groupon, and the price gouging. There were a total of 9ppl in the bowling alley. 3 were staff. We came at a slow time when the guy at the counter told me, "no one is usually here at 5:30pm. You shld be fine to just show up." I wanted to make sure we had space in case we DID have 30ppl show up, so I called the manager and paid the deposit. I thought it was expensive, but I wanted to try a new spot and to do business with them because it looks like a cool place. BAD DECISION on my part ‍. I was in the service industry for over 30 years. I still am in many aspects. This is BAD BUSINESS.This is not the way to interact with your community! No wonder the place is always empty and they've turned to Groupon to generate business. As far as needing to staff for the event, there were 3 staff in the bowling alley. A bartender, a counter person, and a food runner. I'm not sure who was in the kitchen, but I told the manager we did not need food. We were scheduled form 5:30-7:30pm. When no one showed, the few who were there bowled for about an hour. That's A LOT of bowling alone- after an hour they were done. We did not even stay the 2 hours we reserved. It looks like a nice place! The staff were nice. My only complaint is the manager overcharging. We will go to Wade Hampton Lanes where it is $175 or $225 for 30 ACTUAL people to bowl for 2 hours. We have this bowling event every other month. Had mgr not charged $366 for 3ppl, we might have been back and told people how cool the place was. There's a reason Wade Hampton Lanes is always full and has been here in our community for my whole life. Stone Pin won't last much longer in this community with business practices like this. Again, I am fine to pay $188 for 3 people to bowl. We had a small crowd, and I get that it costs to staff etc. But to charge a nonprofit or anyone $366 for 3 people is ridiculous! Chase Business said the same thing when I called to tell them what happened. A pass for 4 ppl to bowl for an hour on Groupon was less than 10$- additional charge for shoes for 3ppl 12$. I shld have just showed up with the Groupons I bought instead of calling ahead....or better yet just stayed with Wade Hampton Lanes or AMF. Shame on you Stone Pin Bowling! read more

Went for drinks around 9p. Not many people there at all I could count on two hands if that. It was stated an event was being held upstairs. Got two mixed cocktails. Both were juice. Three drinks in total between two of us. Tab was $48. Two bartenders that were on their phone when we walked up. They looked like customers. Drinks as made and we were never checked on again. Bartender was back acting like a customer. We had to ask for another drink to get her back behind the bar. When we wanted our check. Both bartenders were sitting not their phone at bar seats. Love bowling in this little bowling alley! Six lanes feels so intimate. The bar is you basic bar, but specials are available here and there making it a great place to drink for a while. Lanes on the weekends are by the hour. Now when your game is *almost* done, courtesy in an empty bar/alley contends that the staff should let you finish your game. The "Traveling Team", as we call ourselves because we've logged many miles over the years as neighbors and friends, decided to get a voucher for an hour of bowling at this relatively new venue. They don't make reservations but I was told they'd prepare a lane for us if we'd call and let them know we were on the way. We did and they did. We had to rent the shoes at $4 per pair. There are only 6 lanes so this is NOT a mega structure. There are computerized scoring devices, so that makes it very nice for those of us who have NO idea how to score. The venue has beer, wine, and cocktails as well as a menu of "snack" type foods: nachos, sandwiches, and more. We had already decided to dine elsewhere. B. U. T. we had such a great time tossing WAY too many gutter balls and managing an occasional spare and ONE STRIKE BY ONE PLAYER, we bought another voucher and will be playing and eating on our next visit. My family surprised at Stone pin Company for a birthday Celebration. Loved the atmosphere, beautiful place inside. Not crowded, it's a little intimate bowling alley. Family time is always a great time. The food there was delicious I had gotten the cheese burger and tater tots. The meat on the cheese burger was so tasty, best burger I've had in a long time. Everyone said get the signature pretzel, I did not like the way it tasted, it's almost like they soaked it in Worcestershire sauce.(yuck). The man at the counter by the door was very nice and friendly. One of the waitress had a thin see through T-shirt on with no bra, I thought that was a little inappropriate for a family place . Came here for a group/team-building outing with co-workers. The set up of 2 groups of 4 lanes seemed to work if you are using all of the lanes on a side for your group. If you have more than 1 group or several small single lane groups, I'm not sure it would work very well due to the set up. We had a great time and I would recommend otherwise. read more

Fun spot to hang out with friends to have a few drinks and bowl. Drinks and service at the lanes is great. Bowling is cool as only 3 lanes per side. Pins are string tethered for reset but that doesn't seem to change the pin action too much. The turned down lights and put on black lights which made thing glow neon. The bowling brought me in, but the people here are what keep bringing me back. The helpful staff and bartenders are approachable and delightful. Although the price to reserve lanes is astronomical (literally over double the price of walking in), the place is really cool! They've done a really nice job fixing up the place so it feels cozy and funky, and the bar area is bigger than I thought it'd be. They have a full bar and several beers on tap, including a handful of rotating drink specials. Their menu is moderately better than standard bowling alley food, with mostly the fried stuff. I enjoyed their large pretzels, and the horseradish-mustard dip it came with (the pretzel had good flavor and wasn't too greasy). The corn dog bites and loaded tater tots were basic fried things. The lanes were pretty, though the space walking up to bowl is a little short. The touch-screen scorekeeping boards let you message the other lanes, so you can fit in some trash talk. We had a blast having the one side (3 lanes) to ourselves for a couple hours. I know some people said that they were disappointed they couldn't finish out a game since you're billed by the hour, but I guess since no one was waiting on the lane after us, they let us finish playing it out. read more

You've gotta try this laid back and comfortable bowling experience with good food, full bar, and friendly service. The bowling is quite fun and you pay by the hour. The food is really good. We had wings and mini corn dogs and they're delicious, and one of the best things is you can eat right where you're bowling. And the service is outstanding. The server came from the bar to check on us often and made great drink recommendations. On top of all this the bowling attendant gave us five extra minutes when our time ran out so that we could finish the game we were almost finished with. So considerate! read more

Wait staff was really great, but the lane I bowled on was not level and no matter how I threw the ball it aways veered to the left and it was very difficult to keep it from going into the gutter. The lanes at not made of wood, nor are regulation. The biggest surprise is the pins are attached to strings. For a league bowler, I was very disappointed. This place has a very cool atmosphere and good food. BUT. The reservation process is a disaster (especially on weekends) and the staff does not communicate it efficiently so do yourself a favor and read through to the end... 1. If you're trying to come on a weekend, you have to make a reservation. If you randomly show up trying to bowl, you will 9/10 times not be able to get a lane. 2. You cannot make a reservation over the phone, you have to show up and put your name on the list (yes, you read that right and yes, it is an absurd policy). 3. If you have 6+ people, I highly recommend you book 2 lanes. 4. When you reserve a lane, you are only booking it for one hour. So make sure you reserve for more than one hour if you have a large group or want to take your time. Otherwise, they will book another party on your lane immediately after you. And if you have several people, you will be inventing a new sport called "Speed Bowling" in which your party is trying to complete 10 frames within one hour. Godspeed! read more

Please be careful! This place does not respect the health of its costumers! It is too small to be cramming people and not enforcing the mask use. We were playing, and had our masks on, there were two empty lanes. Only 3 lanes total in a pretty enclosed and small area. Then about 6 people came in to the far lane. No masks on! We got a little concerned at that point. But we thought we would be fine since we had our masks on. About 5 minutes later another group of 6 walks in, again, no masks on!. That was it for us. I will start with that I popped in for my 1st visit kind of early in the day so I'm giving feedback but will re-visit and update accordingly. That being said...my one thing that I didn't like (and any other place that does this) is using plastic cups that look like real glass for draft beer. It warms the beer fairly quickly. I like extremely cold beer glasses but that's me. Now everybody and their brother bowling left but I had an awesome time chatting with the peeps working there. So looking forward to coming back! Went to Stone Pin with a group of eight. I called ahead during the week and was told that reservations were not accepted over the phone. We went as planned anyway and decided to try our luck. We expected to wait so we ordered some appetizers and drinks. The food was much better than expected. I told the hostess that we would be in the bar area waiting for our lane. When they called us it was so loud in there that none of us heard it. No one walked over to check on us. When I went to ask about our status, she said they thought we left and our lane had been given to someone else. I politely told her that we were ahead of the other people and they needed to let us go first. They did. Fun, nice atmosphere for bowling and the bar and food are nice touches. I would go back because we had a good time. Suggested improvements: Take reservations ahead of time. This would be much more efficient for process flow and minimize wait times. I realize that the business can make more money on drinks and food with people waiting, but happier customers generate return revenue. Page customers by phone. My Co. Had an event here and I really, really liked this place. It had a nice size bar, the staff were friendly and the lanes were private not out in the open like most bowling alleys. I really enjoyed this place. We had a buffet setting and the food was great. I had my own bowling ball, but theirs were nice as well. The service is terrific- Ariel in particular is behind the bar and always goes above and beyond. We had a small issue with our lane and the maintenance guy fixed it immediately. In the back there's a pool table and ski ball machine as well for kids or while you wait for a lane to open. It's very well designed and rusticity modern looking. My company hosted their holiday party at Stone Pin this year. I've heard great things about it. It was the perfect venue for a smaller get together. We rented the three lanes to ourselves and the service was phenomenal. It is nice there are tables and chairs between the two sets of lanes just in case people did not want to bowl. I would recommend not having a group larger than 12-15 bowlers though since there isn't a ton of seating up by the lanes. Definitely a place I would want to go back to, especially for a company event. read more

Word of advice: don't come at three o'clock during the week unless you want to be the only people there in an otherwise very quiet establishment where you could hear a pin (a different kind) drop. It is a tad awkward. I have never been at night (I am also not allowed to drink aka underage) so the nIgHtLiFe is probably very different, but the alley itself is superb. Even though i suck at bowling whenever I visit the family and have nothing to do on a Tuesday afternoon I always hit the lanes. I'm still pushing through the awkwardness of being the only one there and getting a gutter ball 50% of the time. The shoes are pretty cool. When I would go on bowling class trips in elementary school I just had to wear my own Merell sneaker/hiking boot mix shoe, so the classic bowling shoes are a good improvement. Once they had brought out the food (Two hours after ordering) they informed me that what I had ordered they were out of. Tried the joint on a Friday evening. The bartender was very friendly and made a great margarita for me. Downfall not a lot of beers on tap or a wide selection of beer to choose from, just standard bowling alley beer. As for the food, well we were told they are changing up the menu and I hope they do for the food was not the best but the staff and environment makes up for that. Just eat before you go and enjoying bowling and drinking. I hope soon they open up and area to enjoy outside. The price of bowling was fair but if you are a serious bowler this is more for fun then anything. Seems like a place you can take your kids and enjoy a night out with the family or maybe a good place to have a fun date.
