Food was good, service was lacking, however. We had drinks at the bar prior to 6:30 pm reservation for dinner. The bartender was thoughtful and engaging with fun conversation. Our server deserves the most credit, her name was Emma, she was kind, honest when we asked questions about items on the menu and all around the BEST server we have EVER had, she really deserves all things good in life! We live about 3 hours from this locations and came here for our anniversary, it was perfect! We started with the baked Brie (phenomenal).We have never had a steak from a restaurant cooked so perfectly. The shrimp was amazing, and we ended with a slice of Granny Smith apple pie slice, it was delicious. Stone and Summit located in Wentzville is a newer restaurant that is an up and coming restaurant. We visited on. Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was empty and the decor was very nice. We received the lunch menu hoping for some dinner entrees but noticed lunch is a limited menu. We ordered chicken with pasta as well as fish and chips. Both meals took a little longer than usual for a restaurant very few patrons at the time. Not bad but felt dishes were rushed. The restaurant was very clean can easily accommodate small and larger groups. We will be back for dinner to give the another try. See you soon. read more

We have given this place a second chance and it is still disappointing. Service is always good. That's the only reason thy got 2 stars. The food is mediocre at best and drinks from the bar were inconsistent. We ordered salmon which was under cooked and the mahi mahi was overcooked and dry. Tortellini with shrimp was very basic and bland. The shrimp was rubbery like it was microwaved. Bar drinks were a winter cocktail specials and the amount of Aperol was inconsistent. My basic old fashioned was watered down and did not have bitters and they used the wrong cherries. Our waitress was the only pleasant experience. It's no wonder the place was nearly empty on a Saturday night. This place needs to train up their bartenders and kitchen staff. read more

I went to Stone Summit the celebrate a friend's birthday . The place look great. There's parking out front. The restaurant was quiet. Our server was awesome. She did a wonderful job of taking care of our party. I didn't like the spinach artichoke dip, but others did. It wasn't the worst but not to my liking. The smoke wings were okay. They don't have a variety of sauces. I heard tge crab cakes were delicious. The garlic pasta and chicken lacked sauce on the pasta. I got the filet and baked potato. I enjoyed the potato. The filet was supposed to be medium. It was cooked well done. The server apologized for that. She even joked the it was beef jerky. I told her it was fine. She d I didn't cook it. I know it happens. She brought me another one. I cut into immediately. It was medium. The outside looked dark and dry. When I tasted it i found the sear to be overdone. There was a hard crust that had a crunch to it. I didn't like my steak at all. She offered me a dessert of my choice since they cooked my steak well done. I never told her that I didn't like the 2nd steak. I got the cheesecake. I don't eat cheesecake. I did taste it. I was pleasantly surprised. It was good. I gave it away. But I did get to enjoy some. Overall I find the food to be mediocre for my taste buds. I will say other members of our party really enjoyed their food choices. The gratuity was already added to the bill. First off the place is awesome. My wife and I absolutely love this place. If we could afford to eat here all the time we would. The service is always amazing and the servers are always happy. We always have a good time and joke with the waitresses every time we go. They always seem to have a great attitude, no matter which waitress we get. We were leaving St Louis after a Cardinals game, and I saw very inexpensive gas near Wentzville when we were driving into the city. I wanted to get a good price for the refill that I needed. I wanted to find a place to stop for dinner at the same time. I looked at Wentzville and saw the details for the Stone Summit Steakhouse. The menu looked good and the prices were okay. This is an annual event for us to catch a game and enjoy hanging out. My nephew ordered a sirloin with shrimp as an added side, French fries and a salad. He ordered a margarita with pineapple and blueberries. I had shrimp and tortellini and a salad also. My beverage was iced tea. Drinks came out quickly. Followed by the salads and pretzel bread. When our salads were finished, the hot food arrived. The steak was cooked well and tasted great. The pasta was delicious and the shrimp was savory. We were a table of two older women and a 30ish female. It's sad but unless you have a male at your table, you are left alone. The filets were great ($40. they better) We had to wave our waiter down for our bill.. terrible service. He did get a tip..( not much) I hope he reads this to know why. We went there last night and the food was very good as it always was been. The only thing that distracted from the meal is our seating. The place was mostly open but we were given a table next to a table with small children who were crying and yelling. I think our server was a little green for setting people next to this family. Food was well seasoned and quite delicious (but came out a little cold)... no bread refill, slow on refilling drinks, no coffee refill... I'm not sure how that happened - but it did... to be fair, they were busy: the server did tell us a large party ordered right before us and might cause a back up in the kitchen (ok, sure). Nothing terrible, just surprising. They offered to make it better, but wasn't necessary (flavor and texture was spot on)... little pricey (maybe, all things considered), but I would still recommend and go back again... The food was hot and brought out within 15 minutes of ordering. We were seated immediately for lunch (1pm) on a Saturday. The lighting was a little low, but the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The set up was different, it seemed like there were a few big rooms you could sit in. Perfect place for conversation. The menu is American. Very simple. All the salads are American style. Meaning they all have cheese on them. And can come with meat. The French onion soup with steak in it was good but cold. And served with Swiss cheese instead of Gruyère. I had a salad with a piece of grilled chicken on it. The chicken was great warm and right off the grill. My husband had the wings which he loved because they were crispy. Overall, I was expecting a more diverse menu with high end options. But it was good for soup and salad or wings. Service was great our waitress was tentative. And the host was kind. We sat next to the wine cellar which was a nice change of pace from other restaurants in the area. It was ok. We try to support local businesses when we eat but it's hard when you have issues with your order and then poor customer service to go with it. Some of our family has Covid so we are staying in so we dashed an order. No subs or special request= easy order. Food arrives and missing two major food items and then one of our shrimp pastas was packed by the restaurant on bottom and it was flat and leaking all of the ingredients out. I called very nicely and spoke to a worker who was no help, I was then transferred to a manager. She was very cold and bothered by the call. She said they would remake but I would have to come down to grab it. I told her we had Covid and could not. I was then told to call Door Dash, that's it nothing else no sorry, kiss my a## thanks for your businesse. Ordered the filet medium rare. When it came it was on the high side of medium, and was drenched in rosemary butter that was so strong I couldn't stomach it. It was also "seasoned" with some weird seasoning. I told the waitress and even the manager came out. He admitted it was overcooked but his determination that the rosemary butter was fine it was just me likely upset some other diners later. Someone dumped way too much rosemary. I told him I just wanted a steak. The waitress returned it, but of course it wasn't done until everyone was ready to leave. I took it home. Guess what? It was still seasoned with something akin to Lowry's. Horrible stuff. $50 for a steak seasoned with Lowrys is way too much. I've had tastier steaks at one of those cafeteria style "steak houses" with the skinny steaks. Steak houses are supposed to serve steak. That's my third, but last, time at this place. read more

I have eaten there several times with family gatherings, taking my grandkids out to lunch and having a late night meal with my brother and his wife when they come to visit. The service has always been good over the years and since they opened and I have never had a problem with any of the food I have ordered and neither has any of my family that I know of. I look forward to going there again but lately it seems we go out to lunch more and they don't open till 4:00. I like the decor inside and the nice area for eating outside when the weather is nice. Stone summit tries to be something it is not, which is upscale dining. Went here for my parents birthdays. The decor is bland and uninspired, and the food is overpriced. I had the chicken modiga, which for starters was not at all visually appealing. The chicken was dry, and overall lacking in flavor. My girlfriend had the mussels, and the broth lacked any real flavor as well. The one saving grace of the evening was the service. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I would not go back, and do not recommend this place. There are plenty of better places to go for the price. read more

Good food, good atmosphere, quick service. We were staying next door at a hotel and this was within walking distance. I know that you should order a steak at a steak restaurant but we both had chicken. . Hubby had the chicken Italiano and I had the 4 S salad with grilled chicken. Lettuce was fresh and cold, chicken was grilled and juicy. I have never seen a salad with so much bacon and tomatoes! Very good. Hubby didn't think he would be able to eat his whole meal, but it was so good he finished it all. The warm bread sticks were tasty. If ever in the area again, we would try again. read more

Meat was acceptable, but pasta and cream sauce lacked flavor. Required seasoning which we never seek out unless it is severely lacking. Ordered Stone Summit Burger- medium. Burger was well done and dry, to the point that the vidalia onion on top absorbed the remaining fluids in the dry flavorless burger, as it crumbled to pieces and required a fork to consume since the bun fell apart. Utilized the aioli to try to moisturize, but could only eat 1/2 of the burger. First burger I abandoned since the 1990s. Fries were crispy but had an odd, stale flavor. Need to check the quality and age of your food products Bright spots- cocktails were good. Service excellent. Would return for drinks and appetizers, but cannot commit to dinner again. read more
