We got the 4 person combo. It is 2lbs crawfish, 2 lbs crab legs, 2 lobster tails, 2 lbs shrimp, corn and potatoes. We tried hot which we could have probably liked the extra hot because we like spicy. All the seafood was delicious. Good value for portion sizes. Our server was Kimberly was extremely attentive and cordial. Drinks were filled and we were well cared for. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff managed to attend to everyone well. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and staff sang us a song and we got some cake. LATEX ALLERGY Food and Service was good however I have eaten seafood boils many times here and it seems they changed their bibs. It was much harder to tear off, VERY stretchy which I thought was weird, and the bib seemed to look different than it used to, didn't think much of it till later when I started to break out in rashes and dermatitis across my neck and hands, I have a very prevalent latex allergy and latex allergies are pretty common, I feel they should consider it when choosing what type of material bibs to distribute or at the very least warn customers that theirs latex in the bibs. Also this is a minor issue but I felt the base in the music was too much at times and more of a headache than anything. read more

This place is like a shack. There's writing and coloring on the walls. My food was watery and soggy like it had been sitting around for a long time. It was served in a plastic bag! Two of us went for lunch today. When we got there, there was only one table of two, but don't let that stop you from eating there. It was absolutely delicious and very reasonable for the amount of food that we had. The lunch specials are cheaper than going out to most fast food places these days and a whole lot tastier. Mild was delicious, and medium, while also tasty, was a lot hotter than your typical medium at most restaurants. We will definitely come back. Our server lynn however was not, she sat us and said she would be back to take our order which is understandable but she forgot about us for 15 minutes and then came to take our order which we put in soft drinks, bar drinks, apps, and a boil since we had plenty of time look at EVERYTHING. We then waited another 15 minutes for our cokes and bar drinks to come out by this time we had already ate our apps and had our entree on the table. She then came back by to say "sorry the drinks took a while we're training" which bar drinks i understand but not for soft drinks after apps, that was also the last time we saw her the entire night. She didn't check on us once. Kimberly however the bartender was amazing and we had to go up to her to order two more drinks and she was very sweet and apologized for her, we waited again for our server to bring our tab but she never came back by, we had to ask the bartender Kimberly for it. It is only my second time here and while the food was amazing and our server was nice personality wise but she was lacking extremely service wise. I wouldn't have been so upset if i didn't see her sitting down with other employees talking versus her being busy and not being able to be as attentive while we were waiting on all of our drinks after eating apps and receiving entrees. I have been in the service industry for over 6 years and understand a lot and am not one to complain but the service was AWFUL. It's just OK. I ordered Combo E, which consisted of a lobster tail, 1/2 lb. shrimp, 1/2 lb. snow crab, 3 red potatoes and 1/4 corn on the cobb and I added an order of hard boiled eggs. I only wanted one but they only sell them as a pair. The sauce I chose was the special sauce which is a combination of all the sauces mixed together with mild heat level. I went back to the counter and asked for the medium heat sauce since the mild had very little flavor. The medium sauce had a generous amount of garlic and was a much darker red and had a little more heat, but still not a very big kick. The sauces here are very runny and seem watered down to me. I rank the seafood at a 2 or 3. The lobster was clearly steamed or boiled from frozen which caused it to curl up on itself into a tight ball. This also makes the lobster meat very difficult to separate from the shell. The lobster was tough and overcooked. The shrimp were cooked OK and were a decent size and the snow crab legs were very skinny and didn't seem as fresh as the shrimp. You order at the counter and take a number back to your table to wait for your food to be rolled out on a cart. There's also a side table with items such as serve yourself ketchup, sweet chili sauce, and cocktail sauce as well as lobster bibs and plastic gloves. You definitely need the bib and the gloves and make sure to tear off plenty of paper towels in anticipation of the mess that will run down your chin. Not all of the staff speaks English, so there was a bit of an issue trying to communicate, but they sent someone over that spoke English later. I rank all local Cajun seafood boil restaurants against The Kickin' Crab in Olivette, which is by far my favorite. Their sauces are thick and flavorful and stick to the fresh seafood. Update 10/23 Garbage. Terrible service - and the 'meat' in the crab legs is mush. Every single crab leg was freezer burned and dry. This place was good a year or two ago. It's sad, because this is a good concept for a restaurant. I have had better crab legs from the Chinese buffet that used to occupy this space - and THOSE were terrible. Not even worth another visit. Manager/waitress Kimberly was helpful, friendly, and as a solo diner, she even sat and chatted for a minute. A good go- to for a seafood boil . I really enjoyed the flavors, pricing, and service. We got the special with shrimp, crab, and sausage. Loved the sauce and spiciness. Not even close to what a fried green tomato should be. Looks like fried potato wedges and tasted nothing like it! $8 for those. The crab legs, lobster, and some shrimp was hardly any meat. The crab legs were thin and tiny and I mean TINY shrivels of meat. I was like is this a joke. The waitress did not refill our drinks.. it's actually understaffed in my opinion. The place was not packed at all. It had 2 small red potatoes, and a tiny piece of corn. NOOOO FLAVOR IN THE BOIL OR LET ALONE ANY OF THE FOOD! Now for the lobster roll sandwich which our waitress claimed it was a larger sandwich and very good and had some sort of sauce on it. It was smaller than a tiny 4" sandwich looked like it was on a hot dog bun, lettuce wasn't even good lettuce cheap shredded lettuce and the sauce was KETCHUP, yea she didn't mention that and for $22 for a sandwich is honestly awful. If I want crab legs and seafoods this is definitely my first choice. The first time we got Crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, & corn. All fabulous. Next time I doubled up on the crab legs and shrimp with the potatoes and corn. Both times excellent. We pick up to save myself another $30 in fees and I was amazed at the lack of business.
