I have been going to the Stonegate for years and have loved it because it was always a good hearty meal and a decent price. This morning I went with a friend and we split a waffle meal and had hash browns, over medium eggs and fruit. When they brought the waffle it wasn't cooked all the way, gooey, flat and "floppy"...I don't know how else to say it. I really couldn't believe they brought it out. I asked for another one that was fully cooked. The server seemed unimpressed with me. So we decided to dig into the rest of it cause we were starving. I put my eggs on my hash browns to dig in only to realize the eggs were way undercooked too. Clear stuff and the white runny part of the egg oozed out. I was not going to eat the hash browns I had just ruined with the runny eggs. So I sat there forever not having anything to eat because I was still waiting for the replacement waffle. When it came out it was still undercooked, but I was freaking starving so we ate it anyway and I asked my server for two eggs over hard and another order of hash browns. She went and got it for me. Finished up the meal, got the bill and she charged me for the 2 eggs and hash browns, when clearly sitting on my plate was the ones I didn't eat because they were nasty. For my part I guess I could have clearly stated that I needed them cause the others were undercooked, but you would assume she could see that. Food was good and what you would expect from a little breakfast cafe. However the prices are to high for the quality of the ingredients and for the market in which the restaurant is. If your going to change almost $12 for every plate you need to be using high quality meats and cheeses etc. I hope the new owners take these reviews seriously because this cafe would be the go to spot if they either increase quality or drop prices by 10-15%. Terrible, every part of the eggs benedict was mushy. They didn't toast the muffin or grill the ham. Sauce was obviously from a powder mix. Hash browns were undercooked and luke warm. Never again! read more

Don't believe the pictures. Had breakfast there last week. I was not impressed walking in the door. Place looks dirty. And only went downhill from there. Great French toast. Crusted with con flake bits. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Must try if you like French toast.

This place is my go to for breakfast and lunch. Expect a wait on the weekends but I've never had to wait more than 30 minutes. It's a small restaurant which makes it hard to get a table as quickly as expected. I've tried almost everything and although I love everything on the menu, I always finish my meal with their French toast. Amazing! read more

Haven't been there since new ownership. Only a few lunch diners at 1 PM. Took quite awhile to get order and then my "medium" burger was almost burnt. Because of time constraints I chose not to have it done over, ate all but the burn edges. OK, but most places don't charge over $10 for a flat burger and fries. (They did take the cost of the burger off of our bill.) Will definitely be back for breakfast, but not for burgers. read more

Friendly, clean, reasonable...and my only complaint is that they are no longer open for supper. If you are a breakfast fan...you have to try their French toast. I have never had better. All of their food is delicious. Sunday mornings get busy from the church crowd. Hard to see their business front (in the corner of the strip mall). Worst service ever... Waited 5mins to be seated and then waited over an hour after ordering before walking out. Couldn't tell you how the food is because we couldn't wait that long, if you have all day to spend on one meal then try it. I will never be back and make sure to tell everyone I know to steer clear. Staff wasn't very friendly either, wouldn't be surprised if this business is on its last leg. Hopefully something else will take its place that can actually serve customers. Had lunch there yesterday with two friends. Menu was pleasantly diverse. Had the Gyro plate and it was excellent. One friend had the corned beef hash and said it was very good. We used to go here all the time. Not sure we will be back. We noticed the food doesn't seem freshly made anymore. Also the portions seem smaller. I've eaten here twice...once for breakfast and once for lunch. The lunch was 5 stars. I had a gyro salad, which was excellent. The cucumber sauce had a lot of garlic and was very tasty. Service was excellent. I went back a couple of weeks later for breakfast and it was probably a 1 start breakfast. I had the greek omelet and it was very bland. My friend is on a restrictive diet and ordered an omelet without cheese. It came covered with cheese. The waitress took a couple of dollars off of our check, but never offered to have the omelet remade. My friend tried to eat around the cheese, but did not have much success, so ended up leaving most of it on the plate. Good customer service would have entailed having the omelete remade. I will probably go back again, but stick with lunch. read more

Have been here twice. The first time we traditional breakfast and one greek dish which were all good. Only thing was that when we sat down at about 5 minutes until ten, we asked the waitress if we could order off of the special menu that was only served until ten o'clock. She said "sure". Our server came after ten and said that we couldn't. Wasn't our fault that she didn't serve us right away. Went back today. Food was just OK. I wouldn't recommend the chile rellano even though they are made there. They are heavy and they use cheddar cheese. Not very mexican. I visited this restaurant due to the high marks in Yelp. I like to try local non-chain restaurants, although we do frequent chains. My meal was delicious! I ordered the greek club salad w/chicken. The chicken was flavorful and the vegetables crisp. The flatbread was lightly toasted. Everything was fantastic with a great price. We were greeted by several of the staff and all were smiling and pleasant. The meal came fairly quickly considering it was all freshly made. I will definitely return. read more

Needing to take a recent trip to DIA from Peyton, I looked up breakfast restaurants in Parker. After reading the reviews we decided on the Stonegate Cafe. Boy are we glad we did! The breakfast specials were great, plenty of food for a very reasonable cost. And yes, the French toast was fantastic! We all got something different and we were all happy. I like a good filling meal that doesn't break my wallet, Stonegate Cafe is the place to go to have a nice filling breakfast and with excellent portions for their cost. When I walked in the tables were spotless and I was able to seat myself anywhere. This breakfast joint is not very spacious however that adds to the old fashioned feel with wooden chair however there are also booths, it kind of reminded me of a smaller IHOP or Village Inn. My server was Kenzie and she was fantastic very nice and knowledgeable. The food took about 20 minutes to prepare and was decadent with no mistakes, I had the 2 eggs any style with 2 big pancakes a sausage and a English muffin for $10.25 usually I can eat a lot of food especially as a broke college student but, I could not finish this meal. The manager was walking around talking with all the regulars he knew on a first name basis giving it a more cozy warm feeling. This was truly a great experience for my first visit and I will be going there regularly. read more

I used to love this place. Prices were good and food was awesome. I've always preferred their breakfasts. However, at some point recently, the prices went sky high!! I noticed the menus were new and the prices had gone up to around $12 a meal...way too high for eggs and bacon. I went in yesterday with a friend. She ordered a BLT and I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of hashbrowns. 40 minutes later, our food came out. It wasn't even busy when we were in there. The server apologized and said they had to make more gravy. I've made gravy...it doesn't take 40 mins. to make. The biscuits and gravy were good, but the hashbrowns had obviously sat waiting for the gravy to cook so they were cold and mushy at that point. I did tell the server they were cold and she offered to make more but I declined because it took so long to get our order in the first place. When we got our check, they did take off the hashbrowns and gave us a 10% discount for having to wait 40 mins. Overall, I'm disappointed with how much the prices have increased and the service has decreased. I will be looking for a new breakfast spot in town. read more

My wife and I eat here at least a couple times a month. I always love the food and the wait staff. Sometimes food can take a little while but its always worth the wait. As a former chef I understand how cooking works though. The only problem i have is listening to customers complain about how long the food wait time is or that there server who is taking care of ten other tables isn't there to refill their drink for the tenth time in five mins. A couple was behind me and my wife the other day. Freaking out that their food wasn't out in 15 mins. Ummm.... SONIC IS ACROSS THE STREET IF YOU WANT FAST FOOD. just saying. This place is small and they get slammed quick so I feel for them. They do the best they can and its always been great to us. Unfortunately common sense isn't gifted in everyone so if you order chicken or a well done burger you need to give them time to cook. Oh and theirs probably other orders in the kitchen so no the second you order the kitchen is not cooking it right then and there. They're other customers who came first. We go to Stonegate quite often and have seen a huge negative change in the quality of the food. The gyro is dried out often and the food is adequate. Biggest negative is the bad attitude of the waitresses especially one. Slim one rolls her eye if you ask for something and is extremely rude. I questioned a petty tea policy of one bag and she bit into me about patrons stealing teabags. I said that I couldn't believe that tea bag pilfering is that big of a problem to justify charging $1.50 per teabag when that is the price of a whole box. She proceeded to go off where everyone could hear saying she would not change her policy and she had to "punish" everyone for the customers who "steal" teabags. Pettiness in every way. Service is unpleasant and I would urge others to consider how they want to be treated before going there. No excuse for this. I was surprised at how many other patrons had experienced the same rude behavior in different contexts. read more
