After my partner's friend told him about this place and how it was wonderful, all you can eat (he went to a meat offered menu) we chose to try the shellfish and champagne on August 15th. Again the venue is wonderful the setup was beautiful there was oysters on the half shell and those seem to be very plentiful but we didn't over eat on those we wanted to save for the main meals which was supposed to be halibut Lobster, &scallops. when we got there the menu card added herbed crusted chicken for some reason. Everything was family style, truthfully, the chicken platter had the most plentiful amount of food on it!! Of which I took one piece of chicken breast and whatever vegetables sauteed with it I think they were just mushrooms, my partner took none of the chicken cuz he didn't want to fill up on chicken. The white meat was dry the sauteed vegetables were delicious and when eating with the chicken it was palatable. Then my partner and I got ONE SMALL scallop each, the family style "platter" that came out had FIVE scallops on them so he and I both took one as did the couple across from us and then the last one was taken by another couple next to us which is fine because we share family "platters", those five scallops were not meant just for my partner and I, they were meant for the vicinity of where we were sitting which was 10 of us. I think the long table held about 40 on one side 40 on the other. The lobster, same thing, luckily I got one piece which was a white meat and I split that in half to my partner and it wasn't a lot it was literally, for me, two bites and he got some claws which I never tasted and they were so tiny!! the halibut again small pieces on the family style "platter" I took one he took one and then later he took another one that was still sitting on the platter, I think maybe 6/7 pieces were on that platter. Honestly I've tasted better halibut it was on the dry side unfortunately. So for the money,$150 EACH, we expected family style portions even if they weren't going to be filled after the first time at least give us a family style portion and when the guy across the table from us asked about getting more Lobster the wait staff said "I'll have to see", of course none ever came. When my partner asked if more scallops were coming the wait staff said "I don't think so"... so all in all it was very disappointing for the amount of money we paid per person, we will never do that again or recommend it. His friend either gas lit us or his night of a meat dinner family style "platters" were very significant!!

I showed up here on Friday at around 5pm and was immediately impressed with the beautiful building surrounded by tons of trees and just how New England this place seemed. After a nice ceremony in the woods (they are able to drive you around on golf carts which is sick) we spent the remainder of the night in the massive building where everything else took place. The main room itself looks amazing and the wood work is certainly something to gawk at. The washrooms were large and clean, all of the food I ate (which I'm pretty sure was handled by the venue) was much better then what I've had at previous weddings, and the staff....oh the staff. From being genuinely charming and funny during very single step of the night to hitting the dance floor for a song and blending in way better then I ever could, it's always nice to see every single person there at least pretending to have fun. They only do one wedding at the farm a day and in quieter months sometimes only a weekend a weekend. An added bonus is that there is a guest cottage onsite (additional cost) which can sleep up to 10+ people so it's the ideal destination spot, especially if you're looking to host the bridal party or an extended family. The best part about Tyrone Farm is that everything is taken care - you don't need to worry about renting chairs, or tents, everything from a furniture and fixture perspective is included in the price (there is an additional fee if you want to host your ceremony here which I'd highly advise). Tyrone Farm is highly eco-friendly from the solar panel field to the water system in the cottage. Even if you're not an green geek it's nice to know your special day isn't causing unnecessary harm to the environment. Immediately upon arrival it became clear things were not as promised - there were dirty dishes, broken glass all over the porch, no hand or bath towels, and other issues. Most notably, the suite we planned to stay in was a complete mess. Dirty kitchen & dishes, unclean bedding, etc. We notified Kai and he promised to send a cleaner out to take care of it - at no point over the weekend was it in a condition for us to stay in. At the end of our stay we negotiated a refund with Kai since we couldn't use the suite and there were inconveniences caused by the other problems in the main house. He agreed, and then completely ghosted us. First he said to wait until the end of the month, then he stopped replying all together. Completely ignoring our phone calls and texts. Absolutely unfair, unprofessional, and not worth it for any potential lodgers considering booking any of his properties. Booking the feather hill was the only regrettable part of our wedding weekend.

Communication was a significant issue throughout the planning process. Dennis was often difficult to reach, and phone calls frequently went unanswered or were not returned in a timely manner. As a bride trying to coordinate an important event, this added unnecessary stress. I stayed at the property the night before the wedding so I could begin setting up. I was surprised that despite being present, the family appeared uninvolved and offered no assistance while preparations were underway. The interior of the home felt dated and had a noticeable mildew odor. As someone with allergies, I found it particularly uncomfortable. We were also told that the venue worked exclusively with a single caterer, leaving us with no flexibility in our catering choice. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations, and several guests told us they were denied additional servings when they asked for seconds. That was especially disappointing and embarrassing on what should have been a joyful day. The garden is beautiful, but based on our overall experience with communication, accommodations, and catering, I would not choose this venue again.

When visiting there, it feels as if you're travelling back in time to the 1800s. The rooms look classy and timeless, and the beds are super comfortable. My daughter enjoyed her chicken sandwich and I thought the smoked brisket had a perfect taste. The fries were good but salty, had a draft IPA which was also good. Place was quiet at 2pm on a Sunday. Will go back when in town again
