I even offered to wait until they were working in the area, since it's a quick fix, but they were not willing to accommodate. I would recommend looking for a company that stands behind its work and provides better long-term support. Also, if possible, avoid placing seams near the sink--what seems like a minor detail can lead to significant damage over time.

I was in need of a small piece of Carrera marble for a restored antique drinks cart which I was giving my wife for her birthday. It had been in her family for generations. I had been working with a marble and granite company in Waltham for months and at the last minute they doubled the price and extended the delivery deadline. I had also received universally poor experiences with several other fabricators in and around Newton, Watertown and Waltham and held out no hope that I would find any company in the business that was different. I called Stone Depot and spoke with Cynthia. Wow, what a difference. She was helpful and responsive and immediately sent me pictures of the Carrera marble slabs they had in stock. Her price was 2/3rds that of everyone else's, and she promised to have it fabricated in under a week. I drove down there, and we agreed together on the piece they would cut. 3 days later it was done and ready for pickup. She had pushed it through because of the fact that it was for my wife's birthday. I cannot recommend Stone Depot in Dedham enough. Cynthia is amazing and the team did a fabulous job delivering ahead of time. If you want to work with a company that is a delight, fabricates a fantastic product, and over-delivers on their promises then you should check Stone Depot out. You won't regret it.

We contact various places and Magic Touch got back to us right away and had someone out within 24 hours to cut the existing countertop, and polished it to a professional shine on site. They helped us faster than anyone else we had reached out to, the other places haven't even returned our calls yet. The counter job is completed better than we expected, and making sure that everyone was happy with the final product no matter what it took. We are so happy that they were expedient, skilled in their workmanship, and went above and beyond to make sure we were overly happy with the results. Which they really didn't need to, but speaks volumes of their high level of professionalism and care in their workmanship. This has been one of the best experience with a contractor we have had. Terrible Work, Impossible to Schedule, and did work two weeks after they said they would…read more I worked with St. Joseph Granite to fabricate and install granite for both units in a duplex. I went with them because Vagner was great at selling me on the business and they had a great price ($5 cheaper than competitors per sq ft) and had great Yelp reviews. After I gave them a down payment is when the problems started. I called St. Joseph on a Monday, they had a guy out there Tuesday to measure and had me a quote by that afternoon. We worked out some details and I gave them a deposit on Thursday. Vagner said they'd do the install the following Tuesday, then changed to Wednesday, then changed three more times over the next two weeks. They texted me at 10:15am the day they did the install asking if they could do it at 11:30am. This was after I'd already been waiting two weeks. Their actual install work was awful. Granted, the house is a hundred years old so one can expect some issues, but having hired a few granite companies I'd say this was a pretty amateur job: - One of the countertops didn't touch the cabinet on the front edge at all which means the granite could break if there's too much weight on it or pull out from the wall - The other three counters touched on the front edge but only in one or two places - Backsplash had a 3/8 inch gap and didn't touch the wall - They snapped the kitchen drain pipe when the removed the old sink - They cut original 100 year old cabinets and "fixed" the structural parts using my finish brad gun which is way to small for structural work - Electrical outlet was out of the wall and couldn't be pushed back in because the backsplash was installed under it - Only used two brackets to hold the undermount sinks in place - one of the brackets that was there fell out when I touched it (manufacturer recommends 8 per sink) - Sink they supplied didn't fit properly into the sink cutout I texted Vagner with pictures of the problems and let them know it wasn't done right. He immediately tried to charge my card for the balance without responding, however I got a fraud notification and it didn't go through. Vagner then told me that my cabinets weren't level and it wasn't their fault. I asked if they were installed correctly and he combatively asked me what I wanted him to do because the cabinets were the problem, not their work. I hired someone else to fix their work. They were half the price of Home Depot, but you get what you pay for.

I called an left several messages to have him come do an estimate. Finally called me back after 4 messages were left. Came and did an estimate beginning of December 2011. Required a $500 deposit for the job. I gave him a check and asked when the work would get done, he said the following week. Called the week that the work was suppose to get done, again left 3 messages and finally heard back mid week. Bill said that his guy was busy because of the holiday season and my job would not be able to get done until after the holidays. I was fine with that because it is a busy time of the season. Called him back the week after Christmas to see what he was looking at for time for the work to get done in my house. Left 2 messages that week, never heard back. Tried the following week and left 3 more messages, never heard back. I did some research on the check I gave to him and it was cashed at my bank on the day after I gave him the check. I was under the impression that Bill's flooring was a trust worthy company that I used before and they did a great job. Unfortunately Bill's flooring basically stole from me and never started the job that I gave more than 50% of a deposit for. I am now in the process of taking him to small claims court.
