We had a small but custom job for Onyx Marble & Granite and they did an awesome job. We needed a segment of granite backsplash behind our oven cut and removed. We contacted the team I think on a Monday about the job and by Wednesday or Thursday someone was here and did the job in under an hour. Workers were efficient and courteous; they removed the entire granite panel of backsplash and then make the cuts outside so to avoid getting dust inside our condo. Then reinstalled the rest perfectly and looks like it was always meant to be that way. Much appreciated and thank you! read more

Four years ago, I bought 3 sinks and Granite for my 3 bathrooms from Onyx. One of the sinks has a crack in it (I just noticed). It started under the rim of the under mounted sink. I called to have it replaced by them and was told that they do not cover that. I feel that this is something that was done at installation and slowly developed. Or the fault of the manufacturer. I will update as I find out more but I am negotiating with them at this point in that they said they do not repair? I feel it should be replaced. Update will follow I heard back from the "New" owner and The sink has a 1 year warranty. They add an extra year to that so they say something must have dropped on it. There is no sign of that and it is in a small powder room. The way the crack is larger coming from under the rim and smaller at the end makes me think it was installed by them too tightly. They do not want to help so I will not go back or use them again. I am wondering if anyone else had this happen? read more

They installed the counter top today and it looks from better than we imagined! The guys who installed it obviously knew what they were doing. Honestly the most efficient and easy part of our kitchen reno. My husband and I came in on a Saturday, the templater measured on a Tuesday and a week later, we had beautiful new countertops. Mara helped us spec out the project. She was knowledgeable and consultative, and extremely responsive when we inevitably had a million questions after the fact. Never ended up using them for what I wanted. Called them for a back and side splash option for our renovated bathroom. Emailed them photos and a link for potential match but didn't hear back. Followed up to check in three days later and finally got more information. Salesperson told me they would have a sample to pick up when I wanted. Later I ended up finding out the salesperson talked about me behind my back to my contractor, saying I was difficult to work with?! The process of replacing kitchen and master bath countertops started out very promising with the sales people at Onyx. However, several miscues caused the overall customer experience to be far less than exemplary. First off, the templater stated that Onyx would remove my previous countertops and dispose of them at no charge. The sales rep tried to add that to the bill so I ended up doing the work myself. The installation crew did not speak English. It was very frustrating to review the install and have them not understand and/or ignore the specific design considerations. They ended up redoing the install but again, the office manager tried to tell me that I had chosen the wrong faucet. Furthermore, they did not leave the sink strainer and tailpiece for the the sink that they had sold me so that further delayed the plumbing work. In addition, they used a sawzall to cut out pieces of a cabinet in order to install a sink without consulting with me. I would not recommend this vendor. read more

My husband and I purchased two granite countertops from Onyx Marble and Granite. One was for our kitchen countertop and the other was for our master bathroom vanity. Mara and the rest of the team at Onyx provided outstanding service and were a pleasure to work with. We bought both items several years ago, and due to construction delays, we could not install the kitchen countertop for over two years. Onyx held on to our piece and never pressured us about the delay for the installation. The piece we selected was called Costa Rosa and was difficult to find. They worked with us to find a piece which I was able to view and then have sent to their site. The piece was small so there was no margin for error in the design or cutting of the stone. Mara spent hours with me going over the design and made sure that the cutters were aware of the restrictions. The installation of both pieces was smooth and very well done. I'm so happy with my new counters. They came very quickly to measure and then delivered the counters as promised. We noticed there was a slight issue where our new stove wouldn't fit after it got delivered. I called and they came the next day and slightly cut the counter so the stove would fit. It looks perfect. We wanted to save, so the helpful sales guy showed us the 7 or 8 varieties of granite that they had on sale-- all lovely and we found one that was perfect. What a great experience! We used Onyx to select and install granite counters in our basement kitchen and bathroom. After comparing price and availability from another supplier we had used previously, Michelle, Jose and David not only were much less expensive, but also provided service that was over the top. We were particular about color and style, and Michelle went to their wholesale supplier with us to help select and explain the various material takeoffs. When a slab arrived at Onyx from the wholesaler that was flawed, Michelle rejected the order and found a better replacement. The installation team was professional and the results are simply perfect. Nice stone at some good prices. The template-makers and installers are very cheerful, and worked well with my Kitchen TuneUp guys. Everything fit great. My kitchen is a bit tricky, as it's over 100 years old and nothing is level or square. But by the time they left, the place looked like a it belonged in a magazine. Nice work!! We really needed a new bath and after speaking with a few different granite stores, we decided to go with onyx.. Very happy with our choice. I contacted Onyx for shower walls and vanity quote and Jose (our sales rep) was out to the house the same day, and by the end of our meeting, Jose had provided a full breakdown for a brand new bathroom shower walls and vanity including the sink, as well as plenty of ideas on what stone was best for inside the shower. As with any remodeling project, issues did arise. However, onyx's entire team were always willing to correct/fix/mend any issues even tho my project was a very small one. And I really appreciated that Jose came out on numerous occasions to check the progress and make sure things were going as expected. We now have a beautiful bath that feels and looks like a million dollars. The crew did a very professional job with the counters, backsplash, and cabinets. And it was done in a 1/3 of the time it would have taken the other companies we've contracted in the past. We will definitely call onyx when we do our kitchen next year. THANK YOU, ONYX! We were able to put our hands on the exact stone we desired, have a template constructed, watch the stone cut, and finally watch our large counters be lifted into place in our kitchen. Please DO NOT use this company and Save yourself the stress and frustration This is basically my complaint I filed with the BBB. We paid for an expensive quartz custom countertop and provided pictures of exactly what we wanted from multiple angles. A measuring person came from the company and together with me and my husband using long 4 inch bendable strips and placing them about half a foot apart from each other made an approximate shape that we wanted. Due to the nature of a custom uncommon shape, we were expecting the service to come back with an actual cut out of what we wanted using cardboard or something similar for us to confirm but this step was skipped by the company. The countertop was then cut but when installed it became obvious that there was too much cut off on one side that left the side panel obvious and with too little overhang to cover it the way it should be covered. It looks ugly and I will probably be hitting my feet on it all the time since there is not countertop overhang in front of it, nevermind the fact that its an actual ERROR made by either the measurer or the cuter We contacted the business within a few days and the measuring person came out again to see what the problem was. He agreed that there was too much cut off and said it will need to be replaced. Our contractor was here to witness the visit and was in the same room working. They said they will contact the manager and call us back the same day. There was no call. No call the next day. I called on the third day and the owner came out himself. In a HEATED RUDE argument with me he said that there was no error made and that it's my "style preference" and all he can do is cut the countertop even further to make it match on the other side without remedying the issue at hand. He was very rude and left saying he won't do anything about this and he doesn't care that his customer is not happy. Again my contractor was there to witness it and even intervened telling him "Come on man, this is an ERROR". The owner just kept drawing shapes for me trying to convince me it's not an error. This company claims to have excellent customer service but we saw the complete opposite. Unprofessional and arrogant owner and a rude sales person who say the company has over 20 years experience in the business but then makes and error and doesn't agree to fix it or give a discount. Literally, he said other than cutting the other side off more (how would that help?!) he won't do ANYTHING. This countertop piece separates our open kitchen from the living room and is a prominent piece in that space. The error is very obvious and I am stressed out having to deal with this on top of all the renovations in the house UPDATE 8/11/17 The company manager called today to apologize multiple times and hear my side of the story out. On the contrary from the owner and the sales person handling this situation prior to this, he was super professional and patient and actually worked with me to resolve it to my satisfaction. He also mentioned that they are working on a new process of work that would help to eliminate such mistakes in the future. I have used Onyx for 3 separate kitchen projects now and I plan on using them on a regular basis. I first chose them because of their yelp reviews, but also they were the only granite installers that were willing to do a quick turn around on a project (i called about 5 places) I felt like they wanted the business, and were flexible to make it happen. (I believe it was 13 days from when I called them to installation) I spoke to Paula she was very nice and helpful in understanding what I wanted and I felt confident in speaking to her that Onyx was professional and could do what they said they would do. I was not disappointed, in fact they exceeded my expectations. Alex did the template and the installation on all three. He is very professional, competent, and careful in moving and setting the granite. We had a slight issue with the plasterer making one of the openings 1/4 less after the templating was done. Alex was very calm and level headed about the minor problem, he quickly came up with a solution to get it done right then and there, and the countertop looks amazing. I am super pleased with Onyx and look forward to using them in the future. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. We worked with Paula DeOliviera in sales who showed us a broad range of options from the actual slabs of stone we would consider. After discussion and considering the benefits of each type, we settled on quartz to replace three Formica counters in our kitchen. Paula tagged the actual slabs that would be used with our name and then scheduled our templating. Alex, the gentleman who did our template was pleasant and precise. The counters were installed two weeks later and fit like a glove. The installers were very respectful and careful moving the very heavy slabs of quartz. The end result looks fantastic and we couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience. We also order our stainless steel under counter sink which was also perfectly measured and of high quality (we choose the heavier 16 gauge steel vs. the slightly thinner 18 gauge). In terms of pricing, we looked at other alternatives and they were extremely fair in their pricing. Most importantly, they did a beautiful job and even cleaned up afterward. We bought granite kitchen-counter from them in 2013. The stone was not cut nicely. The L- shaped corner looked like it was cut by an amature. Now the counter already cracked around the sink area even though we took care of it. When we contacted them regarding the crack they did not reply. read more
