I had researched Dr . Choi online and thought he would be great to do my gum grafting. He even had a video with instruction's online that made me feel better about my pick. I had my gum graft done by him in July 2022 and it was the worse decision ever. The cost was outrageous, and then what I was quoted ended up being different. I paid for a retainer I never received, and the instruction's they give post surgery are terrible. I felt like I was just another number in his office and on follow up visits his staff was rather rough taking out my stitches and based on his Blaise attitude when I had my follow ups I could not tell if the procedure went well or not. Now, 3 years later my bottom teeth are moving and look terrible, and I was left with a hole in my lower gums. 1000% RECOMMEND!!! I was extremely anxious and came very close to cancelling my appointment. I'm very glad I didn't! The front desk staff was very friendly and the repore they have with each other was nice to see. They were all busy working but still enjoying each other's company. As soon as I walked in the door I felt welcomed. Apalena (I'm so sorry if I spelled that wrong) was so friendly and very kind. She tried her best to accommodate my schedule when coordinating appointments. Rodney called me to the back to get my 3D scan done and start my consultation. Rodney is great! He made me feel very comfortable, was very detailed in all the info he gave me and answered all my questions. My anxiety level literally went from 100 to like 10 in a matter of minutes. He made me feel like I was the only patient there. Dr Koo spoke with me and provided more details and gave me treatment recommendations based on my 3D scans and exam. Next day I came in for X-rays, scans and pictures. For me, this was the most uncomfortable part of the process since I had to take pictures while smiling (which I have not done in YEARS), and someone was in and out of my mouth for an hour and a half. But she was great! She made sure I was comfortable, always let me know what she was doing, explained everything thoroughly and was always smiling. She truly turned what started off as a very difficult day into a really good day! I'm so sorry I can't remember her name (And I asked her before I left). She is a beautiful young lady with gorgeous curly black hair. I also met with Dr Koukousaki who explained how to care for the first set of dentures (and my mouth) after surgery and took some measurements. Its surgery day, I'm excited and nervous but more excited. I asked a few last minute questions and of course the staff gave detailed answers that put me at ease. One minute Dr Koo is putting the IV in, (he was very gentle, I literally just felt a little pinch) the next minute the procedure was over. I honestly don't remember much. Time jump, it's been 10 days. Both the staff and Dr Koo have checked in with me several times to see how I'm doing. Again making me feel like I'm their only patient. Knowing that my well-being is important to them and that they are available if I need them says a lot. I have a few appointments scheduled before the process is complete and I am looking forward to seeing Dr Koo and the North Texas Dental Surgery Staff again! read more

Dr Choi and all of the staff are absolutely fantastic! After years of research, several "in person" consultations with providers in my area, watching all of Dr Choi's YouTube videos (they're very informative & honest), looking at a lot of Dr Choi's "before and after" photos online (I was blown away by the photos), reading his online patient reviews, and a video consultation with Dr Choi himself (I'm out of state), I felt very confident choosing Dr Choi to perform my All-on-X procedure. It was honestly a "no brainer" for me, especially after having several consultations with providers in my area who claimed to "specialize" in All-on-X procedures. Their lack of knowledge was alarming, their equipment & "technology" was far from being "up to date" and their professional education was severely lacking, especially compared to Dr Choi's education & board certifications. There is so much to say about this dentist office. I found them on YELP (which I live by) but long story short ! When I called in I think I spoke with Halee (I'm so for sure I misspelled her name) and she was soo jipper and knowledgeable, I love the precautions that were taken due to COVID19 ! The office was not to far from my home and I felt as if I had been a client for years (oh did I mention I wasn't the client) it was my daughter ! I had a great experience with this place from the moment I first called to make my appointment, to my very last checkup. After being quoted $2700 for removal of my wisdom teeth at another location, I decided to do some research online and I came across this place. At first I was a little skeptical just because of the low price and while it had great reviews on google most of the people who reviewed it only had that one review. I finally decided to call and ask about the price. All my questions where answered and I was scheduled for an appointment the following week. All the staff here is really friendly. I usually hate going to dentist or doctors appointments, but everyone here really made me feel comfortable and at ease. The day of my surgery they forgot to give me the ice pack and head wrap and when I called to tell them they immediately apologized and refunded my money. I also love the waiting area. The have a T.V you can watch, plenty of seating, and free wifi. The also have small fridge with little water bottles and snacks. The other thing I loved about this place is how fast they attend you. I always showed up early, just because its a far drive.I was usually attended before my actual appointment time, which was nice since I'm used to waiting a while. My only complaint about coming here is the 50 min drive, but for the great price and amazing service it is so worth it. A year and a half later I received a call stating that I needed to file the claim with my insurance then a few months later a received a bill with one amount and when I called to pay they said it was double the amount and if I did not pay they would turn it over to collections. I have always had an intense fear of the dentist and as such, had put off having my wisdom teeth extracted for 16 years. I found Dr. Choi by Google and saw his excellent reviews. He truly deserves them! I got there this morning, his assistant came in and we had great conversation while he put on all my monitors. He answered all my hypochondriac questions patiently. I hung out and watched Friends on their TV until Dr. Choi came in a few minutes later. Had great, funny conversation with him as well and he put in my IV. After he started the first med he asked if I was feeling anything and I said, "Yes, starting to feel a little woozy." A few minutes later I was in the room alone and thought he must have had to go get something before starting the surgery. Then I felt gauze in my mouth and realized I was already done!! Never in my life have I felt so comfortable and cared for, going to the dentist. Dr. Choi and his staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and everyone has the sweetest personality. I was having a lot of pain in a cracked wisdom tooth (I knew all 4 had to be removed) and they were able to get me taken care of right away. Dr. Choi's guidance and instructions almost instantly had me feeling 100 times better until my procedure the next day! I was shocked! Which is another reason why I highly recommend this place. I went there for an implant and Dr. Choi was great. I had a pretty serious infection in my nerve and my previous dentist made me come back and forth a few times which made the infection go worse. Dr Choi didn't waste my time and provided a great procedure in a very timely manner. I felt like he cared every little step. The total surgery was less than 30 mins and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all throughout the whole procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Choi and his staff! I had previously gotten a treatment plan and estimate for wisdom tooth removal and that surgeon was not willing to give me very many options. I sought out this practice on my own and I'm so happy that I did. The prior surgeon was not willing to remove any teeth without IV sedation. Dr. Choi gave me the option of nitrous oxide and was actually cheaper all around for services. The staff is very friendly and the office is comfortable and clean.
