Check-in is easy, the wait to see my doctor is never long, and billing to my insurance is done in a timely fashion. Lab results are sent to my family doctor very quickly. On my most recent visit my pharmacy called me within an hour to confirm a prescription. The escript service is fast! I've had procedures done here and the medical section is clean. The nurses are professional and very kind.

Initially, I was told they could not provide a referral because I had not been seen within the past year. After I left a review expressing my concerns, they changed their position and agreed to send a referral--but only for an office visit, not for the colonoscopy that had been recommended. The inconsistency is what makes this so frustrating. Ohio Gastro Group stated they could not refer me for a colonoscopy because I had not been seen recently enough, yet they were more than willing to schedule that same colonoscopy at their own facility without requiring an office visit first. If I am medically appropriate for the procedure in Ohio, why am I suddenly not appropriate for a referral to have the exact same procedure performed near my new home? My grandfather died from colon cancer, so timely screening is important to me. By refusing to provide a proper referral, I am now facing a 3-6 month wait to establish care with a new gastroenterologist in Colorado before I can even schedule the procedure. Meanwhile, I could have had the colonoscopy completed within days if I traveled back to Ohio and paid their office. The entire situation gave the impression that generating additional office visits and revenue was being prioritized over continuity of care and patient convenience. I expected better coordination and support from a medical practice when relocating out of state, especially for a procedure they themselves recommended.

Late in this review but I just wanted to flag to everyone to avoid this shop at all costs. I…read morebrought my truck in for a simple radiator fluid flush and a thermostat replacement. They advised me that my radiator and my power steering pump were going out so I agreed to get that replaced at the same time. These "experts" replaced the power steering pump with the cheapest option available and put in the OLD FLUID into the pump. Not even 2 days later the pump went out again. I called them up and they said "oh, you didn't pay for new fluid." Really!?! After me railing them on the phone about their "expertise" in auto repairs, they replaced my pump again (still with the cheapest trash option available) and sent me on my way. Turns out that along with all of this, they used the wrong thermostat for my truck so my readings are all off for temps. They also did not flush my radiator system and put new fluid in on top of old fluid that was sitting in my pipes still. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

Guy was super nice and gave me good vibes, which says a lot seeing I grew up hanging out at my parents shop as a kid. I called about 10-20 shops, they had the second best price (only over by maybe $20 at most) but could get me in next day rather than 2 weeks like the other place. But again, the dude gave me great vibes and I was going to go to his place anyways. Glad I could find a great mechanic here in Columbus.

This is my experience trying to become a new patient…read more 4/28/17 - Called and asked about becoming a new patient with Dr. Peter Zafrirdes, and the guy who answered the phone was extremely rude in my conversation and corrected me in the pronunciation of Dr. Z's name. Sorry about that, my bad. Then he transferred me to the New Patient Line to leave a voicemail where I did as such. No returned call. 5/9/17 - left another VM on the new patient line. No returned call. 5/17/17 - Went to their website and sent an email stating that this was my third attempt at contacting them. 5/18/17 - Received a call from Darci that if I was "still interested" to contact them. Really....What do you think!!! I called Darci back immediately, upon which I was told that Dr. Z was not accepting new patients. I explained that my doctor had referred me to him. She explained of course, b/c Dr. Z is the best doctor and went on and on and him. I thought my doctor was the best myself and he was about to retire but I wasn't bragging. She recommended Dr. Julie Guthrie which I declined as she doesn't have good ratings. She explained that there were staffing issues....staff had left and the rest were having to pick up the slack. So I asked will Dr. Z be possibly take new patients later in the year? She said she didn't know. I asked if I could call back and check, yes. SOOO.... 10/23/17 - left VM on new patient line. Note the message states not to leave multiple messages as they are busy with patients or calling patients back. 10/30/17 - attempted to leave another VM but VM is FULL (see 10/23.....I believe if the office were actually calling patients back and deleting the VM messages, it wouldn't be full). Sent and email via their website contact page. 11/1/17 - @ 4:55pm....well, as of this writing, I have yet to receive a phone call. In my opinion, I truly believe the office staff are blocking and preventing patients from actually getting assistance from this facility. I believe the office staff are the gateway to the doctors and other medical professionals in this office and if they are picking and selecting who gets treated or not, that's sad and can become detrimental. This is very poor busy practices not returning phone calls back to potential clients. P.S. - Dr. Z may be a good doctor (I'm sure he is) but his office staff are not making him or the facility look very good. I wonder if Dr. Z, the other doctors, and other medical professionals really know what's going on in their office...that patients are trying to get in to seem them but the office staff are not allowing this to happen. Upon my research I found others have had issues with the office staff as well. Unless management take notice, this will continue to be a problem.

When I called back to ask the receptionist why it wasn't, she said that insurance companies "never cover those", after several attempts to get a hold of someone in charge, I was told that they would remove the charge, but they never did. I refuse to pay it out of principal, and now I am getting rude calls from an aggressive debt collector who just told me to "be responsible; pay your bills", and hung up on me. I went here for therapy, and this is what I get... STAY AWAY!
