What a fun and exciting experience! This small office was easy to book and have some really good specials! The ultrasound rooms have huge couch seating for all your loved ones to come and watch the ultrasound live. The photos were so defined, it was definitely pleasant to see baby boy in full view. The ultrasound tech was kind and so informative, she even made sure to have me in the right position for the best viewing which is more than I can say for my doctors office. I want to first thank the tech I had for being patient and gentle and trying to get all the pics she could as our lil one is very active. She gave us a lot of black and white prints to take home and we got to choose 4 3D colored photos to print (hard to do when there are 60+ images), but you get them all in the DVD/usb and texted to take home with you. We also got a stuffed animal with the baby's heartbeat, as we thought that would be a precious keepsake. Unfortunately, we ran into some issues throughout our time there and after. First, we were not called in for our session until 30 minutes after our appointment time. I believe this happened because there are not many techs on a Sunday, so definitely waiting is involved even though you make an appointment ahead of time. Next, there was something wrong with the file where the heartbeat was recorded. For this reason, I had to wait for quite some time and then go in again after the room cleared to take another heartbeat recording, which meant applying gel and everything again. The heartbeat itself has a lot of static noise and runs for about 8 seconds in the animal. I asked about how to change the battery, but was told that it "should" last years and if it needs a replacement that I should contact them. I think that is a huge inconvenience, given the fact no one knows where we will be years down the road. They should really think of an easier way, where customers can replace the battery themselves when needed. Lastly, when we went to watch the live video of the ultrasound appointment on our TV, desktop, and laptops, it did not work and said the file was corrupted. I was worried I would have to go in again, but when I called I was told they keep several copies and they would email me the video via DropBox. The video emailed to me did indeed work, but once again an inconvenience because I had to create a DropBox account just to download it. Of course, every chance of seeing our baby is a precious moment for us and we savor it. Watching our baby on the screen was worth the money; however, some improvements can definitely be done here like checking all files to make sure they work proper before ending the session. We were lucky enough to get a few 3D prints from our hospital ultrasound before and both my husband and I felt that the quality of the images here were not as clear as the ones we received there. read more

We got a package from Ultrasona that allowed us to come in at 13 weeks to find out gender (they were correct) and then again for a 3D/4D live ultrasound later in the pregnancy. Our first visit went really well! The tech was super friendly and the staff was very accommodating. At just 13 weeks we were told we were having a girl! In disbelief, I didn't really buy anything because I wasn't actually convinced but at my 20 week scan with my midwife we were reassured that we were having a girl!! At 30 weeks we returned for our 3D/4D ultrasound and at first we had some trouble because she had her hands over her face but with some jumping and turning around we got some really cute photos! It's amazing how we can put a face to our daughter. read more

I can't rave enough about how great our experience was here! My wife and I came here to find out the gender of our baby and we found the price tag surprisingly affordable! The setup of the ultra sound room is absolutely amazing, with a huge TV for the imaging and a nice comfy bed for mom to relax in while the ultrasound is conducted. The lights are dimmed while relaxing music plays and my wife and I couldn't have felt more at ease inside. Our tech was super, super friendly and did an awesome job with the imaging. You get TONS of pictures taken throughout the ultrasound as well. I can't recommend Ultrasona enough! read more

My wife and I picked this place to find out our baby's gender. Our appointment was at 9am and they were open and ready for us on time. All the staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcomed. The waiting room is very large and clean, good if you have friends and family coming. The ultrasound room they take you in blew my expectations away. It's a large room with several 50in TVs for viewing, large, comfortable couches and the bed my wife laid on was comfortable. The tech was very nice and took the time to get great photos and made sure we were happy with our experience. The price point here I feel is very reasonable and I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a nice, friendly, environment for ultrasounds. read more

I've been coming to Ultrasona now for a while and so far I have had 4 re assurance ultrasounds done with them.after a mc I had last year (I'm always worried)) and they are so professional and nice and make sure you are okay with everything they are doing. They also follow strict state regulations compared to other ultrasound places. I have always trusted them and even met the owner he is amazing such a great guy. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and when I went into see my OB on Monday, she told me that my baby may be small for his gestational age and that she would like to perform an ultrasound... 4 weeks from now. Although I tried to get an earlier appointment, they couldn't manage; so, my husband and I decided to look for an alternative site where they perform ultrasounds and also take measurements of the baby. Apparently, a lot of these 3D/4D ultrasound facilities claim to take Level I measurements of the baby but they really don't. Ultrasona is the only place that actually does. Firstly, they're open Monday-Sunday except on Wednesdays, which they say to call for availability. I called around 10AM yesterday (Wednesday) and they called me back around 11:30 and fit me in for 1:50pm. Although they were running a little late (20 minutes) and although I did get in 30 minutes later than my appointment time, I wasn't upset. The ultrasound tech really puts a lot of effort into trying to capture great pictures of the baby and to encourage the baby to move and such. Unfortunately, my son is quite stubborn and refused to move his hand out of his face. I paid for a 15 minute session but she couldn't get anything "usable" during that time (or more lke 45 minutes that I was in the room) so she actually offered a free session next week. She also took the weight of my baby, who is a bit smaller but not too much, and the abdominal circumference, head circumference and length. I was so wrried about the SGA diagnosis I got from my OB but from the u/s I had yesterday, and from my conversations with the u/s tech (Kelly), I was much more reassured and pacified. I plan on getting another u/s from my OB 4 weeks from now, but, when my dr couldn't fit me in or give me some assurance, Ultrasona really helped. Wonderful wonderful experience. I wanted to pull off the ultimate gender reveal for my sister. The staff at Ultrasona were so extremely helpful and kind. I had a billion questions and they answered my questions with so much patience! The facility is very clean and well organized. There were several specials to choose from as well. ORIGINAL COMMENT: This business uses a chemical air freshener that automatically gets released into the office whenever the A/C comes on. This was the most toxic indoor environment I have ever been in and I had to walk outside twice during my 30-minute visit. The chemicals were downright poisonous and I was appalled that they would use chemicals like this in an ultrasound business where pregnant women are visiting. I strongly recommend NOT visiting this business and finding an alternative. UPDATE 11/11/15 after Gene B. from Ultrasona posted a response: (see below) I did not request that Ultrasona not contact me about the review, although I discovered that my settings on Yelp had an unchecked box that might have prevented them from doing so; I have now enabled that setting in case you or anyone else wants to contact me. The statistics that you cite, such as the scent materials never exceeding 10 parts per million, may be accurate. But here's the rub -- why on earth in a medical facility would you install a system that pumps chemical scents into the air in the first place? I assume that the scent is chemical-based... is that accurate? I might feel differently if the scents were essential oils or other natural products. Could you post here for my benefit, and the benefit of everyone else, the ingredients of the scent that you pump into the air? I've probably visited one hundred or so medical facilities in my life and none of them have had anything remotely this strong. In addition, certain products, drugs and chemicals have been deemed "safe" by regulatory agencies, only later to be determined that they are harmful to human health. Why take that risk in a medical facility? Is the benefit of a "nice smell" really worth the risk? Gene asked me this question: "...if you truly believed that this was such a dangerous environment, why would you stay and allow yourself, the mother of your child and your unborn child to be subjected to such a risk?" My answer: "I stayed because we are very late in our pregnancy and a birth professional flagged up a concern and potential issue, and we were eager to address it ASAP and were concerned if we waited, it might lead to bigger problems down the line. In addition, I didn't fully appreciate the impact of the chemicals until after we left, upon which both myself and my partner got headaches." Gene, I ask again -- why would your medical facility pump these scents into the environment? What is the benefit of having these smells over and above "plain air" which in my view is the safest and healthiest option? read more

Love love LOVE this place! Have been there twice now during this pregnancy and the staff has more than exceeded my expectations! First visit was for a 2D gender US , and the second visit (today) was a 3D/4D @31 weeks. Both times I have been there, they have sent me home with TONS of pics... Way more than you are quoted to receive in the package price. And today, they spent over 30mins trying to get our baby to move just so they could get a good image of her face; but she didn't cooperate. Her arm was in the way. So even after all the extra time they spent trying to get a good pic, they scheduled us to come back next week and try it again for free?! I was shocked! A+++ Ultrasona! You guys rock!! read more

I absolutely love Ultrasona and would recommended to everyone! I have gone there for both my pregnancies and had an amazing experience every single visit. I found out baby's gender at 12 weeks instead of waiting 20 for my doctor to tell me! Both times the gender was accurate! The staff is very friendly and great with kids. There was enough room to fit both sides of our family in the room to enjoy the experience! It's amazing how much the 3Ds look like my daughters! What a cool experience to see what your child will look like before you even get to meet him/her. Ultrasona offers you a 3D ultrasound of your baby that is a much different experience than what you'll get from your ordinary ultrasound at a hospital or doctor's office. I'm in awe of the details you can see. Technology is a beautiful thing. And while your significant other gets to lay in comfort on a bed while the ultrasound takes place, you and 30 of your closest family and friends (the technician there told us they had that many people in the room at one time before) can stare on in amazement of the life in front of them on a 50" LCD screen. Ultrasona has all types of packages available to memorialize this unique experience from just a gender specification scan up to the Cadillac of packages that includes images, DVD recordings with music (you can bring your own) and a stuffed animal from Build-A-Bear that you can have your baby's heartbeat recorded and placed inside. The only downside seems to be that the CD players Ultrasona has invested in are old and won't always play music recorded to CD-R disks. Don't know why that happened this time because everything was perfect the first time around, but the player just wouldn't play the music we brought. These are memories you just wouldn't get if there wasn't a place like Ultrasona in town. I'm glad Central Ohio has this option for all the swooning moms and dads who can't wait to meet their new little one. read more

Got a chance to check out our little miracle with a very gracious tech. We didn't want to know the gender but wanted a peek and to check up on measurements during my second trimester. The experience was very peaceful and we had no wait at all, if you're inpatient or don't want to wait for your OB to squeeze you in, Ultrasona is a great alternative. The technology is great...I am a tech guy, and the people were nice. I am big stickler with scheduling so I was very disappointed with the wait. Had the best experience here with our twins! Accurately predicted gender right at 13 weeks and have a great machine compared to my doctors office! Having picked Ultrasona based upon Yelp reviews and now just experiencing this.... wow is all I can say! We never had any intentions of getting a 3D/4D ultrasound, but after having a anatomy scan at 20 weeks that produced no viable pictures... the mind tends to drift off to crazy notions that the baby looked like a dragon. I had finally had enough! After some brief research I found Ultrasona, called them on a Wednesday and was seen on Friday. We purchased the Easter Special, which was a great package. Everything about the experience was phenomenal. We did not have a wait and were taken back to their large room (far better accommodations then the doctor's office) where we had a 30 minute scan. We seen everything we needed to see to validate the baby was indeed not a dragon! :) We left with a heartbeat bear, 4 color pictures, all the black and white images, a DVD and CD. I would highly, highly recommend Ultrasona. read more

So first the good, Beautiful set up and room overall great experience inside we were actually planning to go back for the 3D and my hubby wanted to get me a stuffed animal with the heartbeat. Now we are both crushed that won't be happening. The bad.... It took us over a month to get our results from them with multiple phone calls from ourselves and our midwife. We were told first it take 2 weeks (we were never told this at the appointment), then we were given the no new is good news line for a first time mom that is never exceptabke ever plus our midwife needed the report either way as we are not getting a lot of ultrasounds and it was our first so she needed to know everything was good and positioning and we told them this many times, numerous "notes" we're put on our chart to send our report but it was just a stall tactic as the next person had no not when we called, after over a month and several phone calls and hours that day we finally got the reports and were told that we were supposed to get it the day of our scan .....?!?!?!?! And then given more excuses as to the owners didn't check their email and blah blah blah. Now even if we got another scan we don't know if there is a point as we may not even get the report before the baby is born. They turned a great experience into a huge stressful headache and we didn't have the information in time for our midwife appointment that was almost a month later. So if you only want the pictures or gender scan great have at it but if you actually need your information I don't know if I'd waste my time or energy on them. They never tried to make it better in any way either to show us that they could do better then what we saw. read more

Ultrasound was okay. We found out gender. We have to go back because we couldn't get good pictures which is fine. We bought two bears and one of them was not sewn up. I wanted to go back on my next appointment to have it fixed but when I called the man I spoke with said I needed to come in soon so they could look at it. He was asking if I had kids or if I damaged the bear? I have no kids and the bear has sat on a shelf since my appointment last night at 8:30 pm. I'm very disappointed in the level of service I received. They obviously forgot to sew it up, not sure why I was treated poorly after spending $155.00 with them. Hoping I can get this resolved. Will provide an update.... received response from Ultrasona. Again I don't have kids. They did fix the bear and they were pleasant to my mother. However the recap provided is far from accurate with the conversation I had with the owner. Owner was on speaker phone with myself and my landlord. Not sure why such hostility with this company. You have a beautiful facility, but I am so disappointed in how this was handled. I am afraid to go back here because of how they are treating me...will update after my next visit to see if I am treated any better. read more

This is my first child, so naturally, at 15 weeks I could not wait to find out the gender! I bartered an upcoming anniversary gift AND valentines day gift to persuade my husband to have a 3D/4D ultrasound done (he isn't the type to do things "just because"). We drove 2 hours to Columbus for this appointment. We arrived 10 minutes early and ended up waiting nearly 35 minutes to start the appointment (25 minutes late if you do the math). I wasn't too bothered by this, it was Sunday and there was only one tech there. As soon as the appointment started, the staff member made a few remarks about how the baby was "upside down" and "this is not good"...well to a first time mom, I thought she meant something was wrong with the baby!! No, just a bad position for gender determination. Long story short, the baby was VERY uncooperative! The staff member spent an hour and a half trying to see the goods. All the while, calling the baby a "punk"...I laughed it off because I know she didn't mean that a small fetus was ACTUALLY a punk...but still...The ultrasound became very uncomfortable after a while because she was pushing VERY hard (today, I would swear that I am bruise and my tummy is very sensitive to the touch). My husband asked her if laying on my side would help and she told him no and kept pushing! Finally, after trying for 90 minutes, she decided that she needed to get another staff member and called the owner to come in. We waited for a short period of time until Kelli came in to finish. She was WONDERFUL!! She assured me that she did not want to send us away without knowing for certain what the gender was. I was surprised how gentle she was because the other staff was so rough. She had me roll onto my side (my husband chuckled) and then onto my back, then onto my other side, then on the my back again and told us that the baby would move when I moved. Lo and behold, she found the money shot within 10 minutes!! 100% a boy from every angle! I would DEFINITELY recommend Ultrasona! I am very happy that they did not give up and the owner was kind enough to come in just for me because my little stinker was being so difficult. The facility was very nice and the room was cozy and had plenty of space for family members. My experience was not was what I had hoped it would be but I would certainly go back! If we do go back for a later scan, I will be asking for Kelli!! read more

We had a wonderful experience here! The day before we came in, we had an appointment with our OB and were hoping to find out the gender that day. Due to our stubborn little peanut, our doctor was unable to get a good enough look to determine the gender. We were crushed because we had been looking forward to this appointment for a long time now. Right after we left the hospital, we called around to a couple different 3D ultrasound places in the Columbus area. We got in contact with Ultrasona and they were able to squeeze us in the very next day. We were welcomed right away upon arrival and were brought back to the room very shortly after. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming! We were very impressed by how clean and spacious the viewing rooms were. We were able to determine the gender of our baby and got some wonderful pictures. We have already decided that we will come back here for our next babies down the road. Highly recommend! read more

I went here at 13 weeks, totally skeptical. Well, 2 of their techs had me convinced it was a girl. They said stuff like, there's the labia, 100% girl, go ahead and buy pink stuff. Well, had an ultrasound today and guess what? It's a BOY! I knew early gender readings were risky, but, they had me CONVINCED it was a girl. Now I have all kinds of girl stuff to return and I need to plan for a boy, instead. I'm still happy I'm having a healthy baby, but still upset that I fell in love with a baby girl that is a baby boy. I gave them 1 star because they obviously were wrong, even though they both "guaranteed" my baby was a girl. read more

I went here for my ultrasound. I was highly disappointed. We waited for more than an hour and a half after our appointment time. We can understand getting behind but this was a little ridiculous. They could have called us to let us know they were behind so we didn't have to sit in their waiting room the whole time. After waiting for so long my baby was not moving at all. They tell you to sugar the baby up to get it moving around. Well it was moving at my appointment time, but an hour and a half later not anymore. So, the pictures were only ok and the DVD was boring because he wasn't moving. I went to the other ultrasound place at Polaris with my last pregnancy. They were not behind at all and the pictures I got were so much better. I only came here because I could get in sooner. I now understand why the other place is so busy and booked weeks in advance. read more

This place is amazing! I went in last night on 2/15 and Im due 8/12...so Im almost 15 weeks! We waited about 30 minutes in the waiting room, but I didnt mind the wait..it was worth it! We went back into the ultrasound room. The ultrasound room was very nice and comfortable with a L-shaped couch and a nice bed for mom to lay on...the tv was HUGE that you could watch the baby on! The staff was excellent! The package we bought was $100 and it was worth it! It was supposed to be a ten minute session but the baby was uncooperative..lol! She really took her time looking closely and making positive conclusions! Its a BOY! we are so happy! We got a dvd with the ultrasound on it and it has both 2d and 3d/4d on it. Also, they threw in a free dvd of pictures of the baby! It was an amazing experience. Its different than just going into you ob and having an ultrasound...She also looked to make sure the babys measurements were normal! We had a late appointment bc of my boyfriends work schedule...Our appt. was at 8:45 pm and although it was late at night she did not rush or anything! They tell you to drink a slushie to get the baby to move...here's a tip....dont drink a mt. dew slushie...lol...our baby was going crazy! It was truly amazing though and worth the drive since we live closer to dayton ohio! I would recommend this to any soon to be mom! read more
