I stopped the program for about a year because I had a successful fertility treatment and had a baby. Once I felt ready to come back, I returned in July of 2021 to restart the program. My second time on the program I lost 30 lbs. The staff that I saw on a regular basis is Melissa, Maureen and Priscilla. I want to start off by saying they are wonderful individuals. They have always been very kind and considerate towards me. Often times I didn't have anyone to watch my infant son and they were very understanding towards me and allowed me to bring him into the office for my appointments. Some things to consider: 1) The hours. They are only open a few days a week with limited hours so you have to be really flexible with your hours to get an appointment. Luckily once you get a certain you are often able to keep that same time slot for awhile, but it doesn't always happen that way. 2) Communication. A) There have been times where I have had something come up with work or had a family emergency so I had to cancel my appointment. Even calling days before and leaving a message, asking for a call back and I don't receive one. 3) Processing Monthly Payments- This is supposed to be automatic and it never is. Every single month I literally had to chase someone down to make sure my payment is taken care of. Especially for how much I was paying for the "VIP" membership, you would think they'd have a streamlined system for those automatic payments. I was always told "it's our new system" but for how long can you blame the new system. The do switch their systems quite a bit too, which is a problem more on their IT side and not the office itself. Overall, I enjoyed my time at JumpStartMD. I wish there was a tele-health option for people who move out of the area. They said it's something they are hoping to get into. When they do, hopefully I can come back. Until then I am able to continue with the healthy habits that they helped me form.

You see Dr Temkin one time for 15 minutes he recommended 800 calories a day and Ozempic. Since I exercise a lot I was told I could have a little more maybe 1000 calories a day. First night after Ozempic shot I was very dizzy called the office and didn't even get a call back. I persevered for a month had bad digestive issues and only lost a pound a week 1/2 of which was muscle. Last appointment they recommended against giving me the Ozempic but offered no refund of the $75 I paid for it. They said the program wasn't working for me and suggested I try a personal trainer instead?? So now I am out $600 and only lost 3.5 pounds in a month. Plus I am left with digestive issues.
