However, when I called them to come and install a carport at my mom's house next door, they were very quick to take my deposit. The very next day we found out that my uncle on the other side of the country is on his deathbed. I subsequently called my rep to advise that we were going to have to cancel the installation because we need to use that money to fly the family out there to see my uncle before he passes. I was told that my deposit is nonrefundable, even though it was not mentioned verbally to me. It was apparently on the document that I signed, but obviously I didn't read every single fine print and it was not mentioned to me verbally. I am being told that the best they can do is hold a deposit for any future install. This is ridiculous to say the least. A death in the family is a pretty good excuse and this heartless company is holding onto the $400 deposit as if they had started actually working on the account. This was a day after the visit so they didn't even start cutting metal or anything. And oh yeah, not to mention, my mother is recently widowed, 87 years old, and relies on Social Security for her income. The manager that was supposed to call me back three days ago has not bothered to call me to discuss this at all. I am disinclined to ever use them again, and if anyone ever asks me about this company, I will gladly share this.

Once again, the crew used my recommended 3 5/8 lag screws along with their 3 1/2 inch screws to ensure runners will not easily separate from the 4X4 posts. I commend Slade Walker and crew for their work during the inclement weather that occurred during the construction and kept delays to a minimum and that Slade was always available if we had a question or problem. When he got ready to leave he told me that someone from his business would be contacting me in a couple of weeks to come out and take some measurements and that if I had not heard from them within 3 weeks to give him a call, you have my cell phone number. Well, when I did not hear from anyone from him or his business within 3 weeks I called his office and was told he was in a meeting, so I left a message asking him to call me. The lady who answered the phone said it could be the next morning before he returned my call. I waited several days and he never called me. So, I called his cell phone and left a voicemail. I waited a few days and when he did not return my call I called his cell phone again, this time he answered. He told me he was in a meeting and would call me back in 30 minutes. That was over a week ago. In my view he is very unprofessional.
