They rave about the quality and service they receive from Bill, and recently had my own experience. Driving to my daughters home one morning, a school bus backup and hit my brand new car. The accident wasn't five minutes old when Bill came down from Templeton Auto and helped everyone at the scene. It was a bitter cold morning, and we had been waiting for emergency vehicles and police for some time. Bill was kind enough to bring his car down, and allowed me to sit in the heat of the car, while he was outside making sure all appropriate parties were call, etc. His character proved to me what this car repair shop is all about. Had no idea so I paid with a credit card only to find out that there is an addition 3% charge on top of it. I had diagnostics done at 2 different places prior. The car was running fine when it was dropped off. I start the car and discover that the engine is running rough, and the check engine light is still ON! Was told that the problem was an ignition coil was bad. I didn't get more than a few blocks from the shop and a pry bar extension fell out from under the car! Now I have to spend more to fix the issue. Would not recommend to anyone I know. Highly Disappointed!!!

He felt for sure it was a transmission issue. He took it to Firestone. They "ran diagnostics" and told him he needed a tune up with new spark plugs. Great! Not what we had expected to hear. They performed the tune up and sparkly replacement, we paid the $624 and when he turned on the car he heard a terrible whining noise. He turned it off and went back in to the shop. They told him that they can "run diagnostics" the next day. We waited all day to hear from them, finally my husband called and they told it was the transmission! So we wasted $624 when they should've told us about the transmission the day before! Had we been able to make an educated decision on Saturday, we would've taken it to a shop that could tell us about what we needed with the transmission. We feel swindled out of our money! While $624 to Firestone isn't a lot of money, $624 is A LOT of money to hard working people! A full refund should be given to us for this poor service! Shame on you! Firestone just lost a customer and worse, will have future bad word of mouth advertising.

Perhaps it was the below-freezing temperature and my attempt to drive my vehicle without sufficiently warming it up that prompted the throttle light to come on, I will definitely contact C & A when my vehicle does need servicing. I appreciated the messaging that helped me determine what my vehicle needed. What's valuable? The excellent customer service in fielding my throttle concerns is worth noting.

Todd the Manager pulled one of his mechanics off a job to diagnose the problem. 40 minutes later I was fixed up and on my way. When I went to the counter to pay, I was told "no, charge, have a safe trip". If you had guessed that it was only a blown fuse, you would be correct. Team One gets my respect and recommendation because they took time from a job to check connections, wiring and to go through 2 fuse boxes to replace a $3 fuse. Most shops would have charged me for an hour of labor or worse came up with a bogus diagnosis, overcharging me. Team One put integrity and customer service first.

The company continues to say that the driver "thought" the Manheim Township police requested the tow. After investigating the incident, a police representative said not only didn't they request this tow, they NEVER request a tow from a handicap spot. If there is a violation, they ticket the vehicle. King's Towing has demonstrated that they are just one of the many tow companies that give the industry a bad name.

I knew I would need to get an oil change a couple of times going around, and when it was time, we were in Gettysburgh. We had limited options, and Mike's Kars had good review, and he was a mile from our hotel... so... we took a chance. Pros: Seemed to do adequate work, we didn't have any issues with the car. They came and picked us up CONS: OMG where do I start. This guy ripped us off at every opportunity. 1. I had just purchased NEW bigger off-road tires and we had about 2000 miles on them. Mike decides it's time for my 41k service, and that included a TIRE ROTATION! He KNEW they were new tires. We wer traveling and exhausted and had exactly one day to get the oil changed before heading to our next destination, and extended our hotel to get this done, so I didn't THINK about it but he CHARGED ME $200 TO ROTATE BRAND NEW TIRES! 2. He told me my battery needed replacing, probably the original one, blah blah. I have no idea if it really needed it or not, but he used a scare tactic. I was traveling with my daughter and he mentioned "What if it doesn't start and you are in the middle of no where." I went ahead with the battery but he charged me a WHOPPING $400 FOR IT!! I called my dealer when I got home today and he told me a battery for that Jeep costs $100!! And that I got ripped off once again. 3. He also told me that my radiator fluid was turning acidic and needed flushing. ANOTHER WHOPPING $200+ for that. I asked my dealer who looked at the inspection report for my Certified Pre-Owned Jeep and the chemical report when sold to me was no where near what this guy was telling me. 4. He also said there was a leaky seal on one of the ball bearings and they "discovered" it when the rotated the tires. My dealer said a leaky seal could definitely have waited. 5. Finally, the oil change we came IN for. Instead of giving me Full Synthetic oil which everywhere else was $48, he gave me some kind of blend and charged me another $200 or so. When I got out of there he had stripped us of $1300. Two girls on a road trip. He saw us coming a MILE away and took advantage at every turn. My dealer said all of that would have been taken care of at ANY dealership and that this guy charged me about 4X what it would have cost and of course, the leaky seal and radiator flush, if it was really needed, would have been NO charge. So. They may do ok work, and they may be convenient. But they will take advantage, overcharge, and rip you off every chance you give them. I do NOT recommend these people at all and am MORTIFIED that they did this, and charged over $1300 for what should have cost us around $150.

It turned out to be the actual Transmission. Steve and his crew accommodate me by having the Transmission out The same day. I was able to go get a replacement and it was installed very quickly. He was very thorough making sure everything was put back exactly the way it was. I am always satisfied with the work and the prices. Their labor rate is very fair. They even offered for me to eat lunch with them. Steve's wife Karen cooks lunch for all the employees every day. Shows a lot about them. I will continue going back time and time again.
