This store needs to be redone the one in Framingham near the bj's now that is what Stop & Shop should look like the Passover aisle/kosher aisle at this location is horrendous. I've stoped shopping at all Stop and Shop stores, but my girlfriend needed something there. The self check registers are as bad there as all the other stores. I was waiting at the service desk, there was nobody there. Finally, after about 10 minutes, a person who was baging right there finally helped me. She saw me standing there, and never acknowledged me. The horrible self check registers are why I stopped going there, but that service desk stunt reinforced why I don't go there. I am absolutely livid at the "assistance" I have been given. I have called Stop and Shop customer care THREE times this week. My account was considered "inactive" because of a payment that got declined back on September 15th (no clue why because I had MORE than enough funds in the account on that day. I triple checked before calling customer support). I saw this charge attempting to be debited this Monday which is what prompted me to call. They explained that was the charge from September. Which is fine, I get that it was my fault for not noticing that coming out back in September. But every time I called this week, I was given the same excuses: "I have submitted a ticket to have your account unlocked." Every day I check and it's still locked. I was told again today that I just have to wait until that team unlocks the account and wait for them to send me an email. I don't understand why this can't be escalated to someone who can unlock it now! I'm about ready to say screw this and not use Stop and Shop anymore! read more

The best market in the area. I always come in prime time on the weekend, and everything is always clean, and the lines always move quick. The produce is better then most, they even have some hard to find stuff. By far the best things is I save a lot on gas by filling up after I'm done shopping. It worth taking the time to make up some phony info, to get one of their rewards cards, to save the 10 cents a gallon. read more

Ordered a medium sized Board Head cold cut platter from the deli for a family holiday party last week. My compliments to the deli staff, it was beautifully put together and tasted just as good as it looked. A super value as well. They have all you need. Great location, wide isles, good lighting, decent products. A bit expensive but all employees are in the union and that means they get treated well. I have never seen any bad or spoiled food on the shelves in 23 years of shopping there. They could have more cashiers. I can get there and back from my house very quickly, thats what you pay for. read more

This was one of the rather ok stop and shops that I have been to. A bit on the chaotic side (when I frequented the place much before the holidays where I can imagine would be even more of a crazy situation). Some of the key things to know: - in a strip mall, it is a rather small a grocery store as compared to most other branches - it has one central entrance and the checkout counters are right in front of the entrance making it extremely congested for the incoming and outgoing crowd - does not have a beer / wine section - overall, given it is not a huge store, it's best to come early to get items that are on deal. Found most sections virtually empty where the deals were Key positives: - staff was very nice and friendly as well as available for any questions / queries - the frozen food / ready to eat entree section had a good selection of choices In a nutshell - serves the purpose. Hope they make changes to the layout for a better shopping experience. read more

This stop and shop is smaller than most but it still has a lot of what I buy. I once wrote an e-mail to this stop and shop telling them that they were carrying a recalled product. (It was recalled because it said it was sugar free and actually wasn't free of sugar) the next day I got a call from the new manager who was really nice, he explained that he didn't know about the recall and removed all of the product. We chatted for quite some time, this new manager seems to really care about what is going on in his little store. I come to stop and shop because it is close by and I get 10 cents off gas for every $100 I spend. Something you don't get from the other supermarkets. read more

I don't go to Stop & Shop often because I usually shop at Market Basket because it is cheaper, but sometimes it is just more convenient to come here since we don't have a MB in the area. I really like the hand scanners and wish more grocery stores would do a similar thing. It's nice to be able to bag it while shopping and not have to put everything on the belt and wait for sometimes slow as molasses cashiers ring everything up for you. I haven't had a time where my stuff had to be "checked" to make sure I wasn't trying to rip them off, so I'm not sure how that experience goes. My only real complaint about this location is its bottle return area. They only have 1 machine for plastic and 1 for cans and they always seem to be full/out of order or if they work, then it doesn't take long for them to be full and then I try to get them to come empty it and they don't have the time/employee who does it can't be found/etc. Parking is plentiful and they have a S&S gas station right outside the parking lot. I just wish they were a tad cheaper. They might be okay for some people, but for people who aren't really earning much above minimum wage, its too much. read more

I'm all done with S&S since I got audited 5 times using the scan as you shop system. It's like you are being accused of stealing. When they do the audit they remove everything from the carefully packed bags and just throw everything back in carelessly which defeats the purpose of self scanning and packing. The last straw for me was when I got audited two visits in a row. I asked for the manager and he told me that I was selected randomly and there was nothing he could do about it. I tossed him my S&S card and left the full cart at the register with the frozen foods and sliced deli meats. Now I get my Boars Head deli meats at Lowes in Northborough and do all my other shopping at the Hudson Market Basket. I won't be spending another dime at S&S or Hanafords since S&S owns them now too. read more

If you want to eat healthy purchase the exclusive Natures Promise Brand; everything from Breads to Meats. The produce and organic selection is also great. Plus the gas savings acc. the street is terrific; utilizing bonus shopping points I recently saved $1.80 per gallon. I have been going to this place for as long as I can remember, even before it was a Stop and Shop. Always is clean and never had a bad experience. Just put in a seafood section which is nice, hopefully they will put a lobster tank in. To be honest ever since the Wal-Mart in Hudson became a Super Wal-Mart (added a grocery section). After being fed up with peapods habitual call 10 mins before the window closes to say they are running an hour late, and coming home from surgery, hub trecks 8 minutes to StopnShop with a coupon... Tale as old as time - too tired to check date (day early oops!). Cashier says "I don't think there should be a problem" (we've only been clients for 20+ years), manager comes, and in the rudest manner, not only says NO but hell no... Strike 3 StopnShop... I called customer service and they are as uncaring as their store (in all fairness to Otis St Northborough in the pre-yelp days, what a class act store!). But thanks to StopnShop ive discovered Roche Bros and hopefully Wegmans soon. You don't care about my business, I'll take it elsewhere. read more

Super expensive (almost $7 for asparagus), big lines because they only have on two checkouts open, forcing you to those bloody self-checkouts. Plus they have an APPALING beeping video camera robot that scours the aisles taking pictures of you under the guise of "checking for spills." I'm changing grocery stores. read more

Tried shopping here for a few months and was generally disappointed by the selection and prices. What was most disappointing was the terrible customer service. Why do I spend so much time picking the best fruit and vegetables when he person at checkout just throws them down the conveyor belt to be bagged? Even when I have asked them to be careful, they either ignore me or get really defensive and tell me the fruit was already like that. I would think it is a simple concept, but I guess not. Don't shop here anymore. Prices way too high. Scanning system on self serve is awful. And I have been audited over and over and over. I swear if you use the self serve and buy a lot of items they automatically assume you are stealing stuff and then you have to stand there while they take all your stuff out and scan it. An employee apologized to me once and said her Mom doesn't shop there anymore either for the same reason and she thought the same as I did if you use it and buy a lot you get audited. And she just audited 3 of my items and checked them to my slip and said go ahead it is embarassing to have to keep doing this to people. Please believe me when I tell you that the last time I rolled the carriage at the person who came to audit and walked out and left a full carriage at the register and never went back. I don't need to steal a can of green beans. I am often in Westboro and use the scanner there never audited never have a problem with the scanning system. It is just Hudson. read more
