I got new tires installed today at this location. 1 guy working in the tire department, changing my tires, helping customers that walked in the door and filling propane tanks. I've bought bulk groceries from various BJs since 2006. I've gone to the Hudson BJs for 6 years--employees are courteous and professional, no issues. Store is always very clean. The self-checks out are great, rarely crowded since people are in and out more quickly. The baked desserts are so tempting; I prefer that smell to any perfume, haha. I found some good bargains on clothing and household items. I've never had to go to Northboro or any other BJs to get the foods I need. I read more

Overall I think this is a great place to shop but you definitely need to know what you're buying or they will get you occasionally. What I like buying here the most is the meat! It's very fresh, tasty, and typically keeps for a couple of weeks. Buying bulk is the way to go!! Now their Tire center deserves a 2 star rating at best. I purchased my last set of tires there and it was such a hassle and when I went in for my appointment it took over two hours ! The guy that changes tires is the cashier and the propane refill person all at the same time!! Which is why it took so long! The guy also cut corners and didn't rebuild my value stem so my tire pressure light continues to stay on due to a slow leak. I asked him to please do it but he said it didn't need it but I knew he was lying... Besides the lines or wait for a convenient appointment are always so long that it prevents me from going back to have them rotate my tires and/ or fix any flat tires I get. I just left the Hudson's store with a package of 2.82 pounds of ground beef when I got home I was separating it by weight and found out I only had 2.14 pounds of ground beef. I checked my scale I waited over and over and still I do not have even closed to 2.15 pounds much less 2.82 pounds what a rip off. Price gouging at B j's I never expected. The gm of the store is a liar and a lazy excuse for a manager. I was using the express pay on the BJ's phone application. The transaction failed according to the app but $204 was taken from my account. I have supplied them with every bit of documentation that could reasonably be supplied so that they could rectify this. My financial institution has repeatedly stated that BJ's is the only one that can undo this. the general manager claimed that there was no transaction on record and that BJ's couldn't refund anything. I submitted documentation immediately back to her from my financial institution stating that not only did BJ's acknowledge the transaction but they put a hold on the amount of money and are still trying to process the transaction. At that point, she stopped responding. She promised that she would get back to me and she did not. the corporate customer service team is equally as incompetent. Not only should she not be in a position of any type of management responsibility, she should immediately lose her job. BJ's stole $204 for me and this piss poor manager is complicit. read more

BJ's has changed a lot in the last 5 years. For better or for worse is not quite the ol' 5 gallon jar of mayo deals like the old days. Even so there are still great deals here. Nameingly gas, cold cuts, frozen foods, and dog food. Like any of the big box stores, shop wisely. Is it worth the membership? Location in Hudson is a bit isolated. Fuel cost seems high as compared to Northborough store. Not sure why Hudson is 10-15 cent higher. Overall, the main store is typical of any BJ's. Deli is usually not too busy. read more

I have not had the problems with customer service the other reviewer had, in fact they are usually pretty good. I do despise the self check out, I always have an issue. Mostly writing today about tires. There is a sign that says the estimated waiting time for tire installation (1.5 hours today), then right underneath it says "don't have time to wait? Book an appointment! " I booked an appointment, guess how long I was told it would take? 1.5 hours. Guess having an appointment doesn't save any time. There are 2 guys working, and my car is the only one getting tires, but they keep getting interrupted with propane and other customers. They really need a third person working, or they need to get rid of that sign! read more

You probably know what BJs is about, so I'll review this specific store. Selection is OK, Northborough is better. The addition of beer and wine is nice, but it pales in comparison. Deli staff is painfully slow and unable to remember even a single item and quantity at a time. As is the norm at these stores, there are never enough staffed registers open. That would be fine if the self checkout system worked better. It's terrible, frequently failing to recognize items. Tried the tire center the other day - staff among the least competent I've dealt with in any business. Store offered $50 credit. That's nice, but I definitely won't deal with that end of the business again and strongly recommend you go anywhere else. read more

I agree with other reviewers that the Northborough store is much better, especially if you want healthier food. Haven't used the deli but the produce department is seriously lacking, especially in organic options. Could just be the Northborough store is competing with Wegmans. Also agree the employees are not as helpful. The gas prices are good but they don't have enough pumps and the entrance to it is sent up poorly... sometimes you end up waiting in line even though multiple pumps are open because its hard to see. read more

The gas price sign is misleadingly placed in front of an abandoned office building almost all the way out to 495 into Berlin. Very disappointing to have to pull into that empty parking lot and then back onto Coolidge and all the way up the hill when I was almost out of gas. The entire shopping center is very inconvenient to get into and out of to and from any specific store. read more

Not the variety of the Northborough BJ's, and the optical staff can be super slow. But its clean and spacious and nearby. Gets you through in a pinch, and they have GAS at a good price! Definitely a stop if I need to host a 25+ party! read more

Avoid the tire department at all costs. BJ's thinks that one (count 'em - 1) tech can take orders, work the register, research tire sizes and availability, handle customer service AND then do the actual service. Apparently having a reservation still puts one at the back of the line if another customer walks in off the street. This lousy service is disrespectful and insulting to service customers and not worth the perceived savings of a few bucks. I will stick with Sullivan Tire in the future. read more

I purchased tires and had them installed at the service center here. The installers were friendly and helpful and were ready for me when I arrived. When I left and was driving away the "tire" light went on indicating the tires were not inflated equally, this light was not on when I arrived. I turned around right away and was told that the tires were inflated properly and that the computer needed time to adjust. I drove around for a few days and the light stayed on. I went back to have them check things out and they told me it would be over an hour to have them take care of me. I eventually inflated them myself to the proper level read more

This BJ's is slipping. Agree with the other review of the deli and its getting worse. Last few times there have been employees I haven't seen before and they seem generally disinterested and very slow. This was a strength of this place and was much better than being 12 deep at Market Basket - no longer true. Today there were two employees at the deli but only one actually working the counter with 5 customers queued up and the other employee continued to shine the ovens. Checkout is usually fine and there are very good deals and of course its great to save some money at the gas pump. read more

Nightmare tire service. Had a slow leak since my tire was installed in the Northborough location. Kept having to fill my air every two weeks and finally every few days (air pumps at Berlin and Northborough was out of order for long periods of times so I had to spend money elsewhere to fill up the air by the way). Long story short Northborough location could never be reached, not even customer service could reach them and Berlin got me a slot about a week away which I couldn't wait because the tire was losing air fast (the guy in the tire bay had a bad attitude in trying to help me solve the issue). I had to spend money elsewhere to fix the tire for a free service they are supposed to provide when you buy their tires. The membership is now costing me more money instead of saving. I only got a sorry we couldn't help from customer service. Real unfortunate situation and way of taking care of your companies responsibilities. read more

Bought a Canon MX472 printer here yesterday was setting it up today and found one empty ink cartridge box in box, there are supposed to be two ink cartridges in the box. Well I found both of them in the printer!! This printer also had set up instruction's in in the box for a MX47o printer!!! What we have here is an item that someone returned and BJs thought it was an Honest and Fair business practice to nicely repackage it and sell it as factory NEW to another costumer and I happened to be the unsuspecting costumer that thought I was doing business with an Honest and Fair retailer. NOT!!!! I am returning this printer tomorrow and cancelling my membership. I have to travel all over and have stopped at most of the Bjs in MA and CT. The one in Hudson is new, clean and easy to get in and out. There selections are pretty good and the savings are nice. Wear a hat and warm coat if you pump your own gas in the winter. It is always windy at the top of the hill. read more

Ordered 5 year old a birthday cake 2 days in advance (24 hours recommended by them). Had previously ordered and had cake ready, and cake was delicious. This time, however, waited for 20 min for them to finish cake- unfortunately we were headed to party and were made late! Unreliable! Only gave the stars for previous experience.
