Natick Stop&Shop -- 829 Worcester Street / Route 9, Natick                  Storefront
Brandon K.

Stop&Shop is my favorite supermarket, and the Natick location is definitely one of the better locations that I have been to. While currently its only competition is Roche Bros, soon Wegmans will open and the saga of three grocery stores in Natick will begin. With that said, Stop&Shop is currently the most cost effective option for grocery shopping in Natick, along with most updated and the most technologically savvy grocery store. While smaller than many other Stop&Shop's (ex. either of the Framingham stores), this one is updated and does a really great job keeping the shelves fully stocked, no expired foods (which is a big problem at many other Stop&Shop locations), and no incorrect price tags throughout, which is very helpful for any consumer. One inconvenience is the lack of plastic bags at this store, but I just keep some extra in my car and bring them whenever I go anywhere in Natick. So make a not to bring some reusable ones or your own plastic ones because they do not provide (silly town of Natick.... ugh!). Lots of self checkout and many price scanners throughout the store. Very organized, well laid out, and as said before new. Throughout the other Stop&Shops in the area this one is the newest and has the best parking situation (especially considering the ridiculous situation at Roche Bros across town where parking can be egregious). Staff are generally friendly, and the implementation of self checkout is appreciated by consumers like myself who enjoy the new technology and convenience. While some say Wegmans has the best prices, I find them to be still more expensive than S&S in general, so the title of the most cost effective grocery spot in Natick will remain Stop&Shop, and I suggest it as the best place to grocery shop in Natick. 4 stars.

Mike is the worst manager here. Arrogantly behaves with customers and a place like Stop and Shop shouldn't keep him as a manager.

come on S and S. step it up. the recent move to mainly self serve checkout is slow, fraught with problems, long lines and delays.

I typically go through the self checkout, but it looks like they are understaffed when it comes to cashiers.

We have been going to the Ashland MB for years. We live right next to a Stop & Shop in Framingham…read moreand will drive the extra distance to Ashland to do our weekly shopping there. The savings are amazing and on big trips, we save an average of 25-35% over other stores. We will admit that the store is older and not as big as the newer MBs. It can make shopping a bit challenging, with narrow isles and the constant restocking they have to do to keep up with the volume. But we find the selection, quality and prices more than make up for the challenges. We have read reviews critical of the employees and don't agree, from our experience. Yes, there are many ethnic employees and English may not be their first language, but they have always been friendly, helpful and have gone out of their way many times to help us find something. The deli and meat sections are great at this location with lots of selections and good turnover. The deli is very busy and the wait can be long, but we just take a number and do our other shopping in the meantime. The produce section is OK, but I'm a real stickler on my produce. The bakery is good and we love their pecan/raisin bread (sells out fast) and their fresh Italian bread. We have ordered birthday cakes from them and they are a family favorite. They recently put in a small prepared food section and we always buy a fresh made sub to have for lunch or dinner. It's a great buy and always tasty. As we said in the beginning, this is an older/smaller store and as a result, has some challenges, but the people, management and the value can't be beat. We love the MB family of stores and respect their business philosophies and will do our best to support them with our dollars. You should too.

While moving the line of carts, the employee accidentally struck my vehicle, causing scratches to it. Fortunately, the damage was limited to the bumper only. I believe employees handling large numbers of carts in the parking lot should exercise greater caution to help prevent similar incidents in the future.

While I really wanted - and needed - something that was "real lunch food" (i.e. something filling, like a sandwich) I wandered around and didn't feel like fruit. I saw a couple of pre-made sandwiches in the deli area, but nothing appealed to me and I was drawn back to the bakery area. You know those nice and big slices of cake that grocery stores have that sometimes have a lot of frosting? They have them, and it had A LOT of frosting and that's when I knew a day of healthy eating would be pushed to another day. Found a nice big slice of white cake and that frosting looked soooo good. I looked around for a fork because I wanted to dive into it in the parking lot, but that needed to wait until I got home. One minute through the self-checkout lane and I was off, and hurried home to get my sugar rush. It was delicious, and there was so much frosting that I didn't eat all of it (probably a first for me). After wandering the aisles, the prices seemed the same to me as those that I normally pay in Newton at Star Market, so I may need to pick up some actual food the next time I am driving by! Store was VERY clean, definitely a bonus!

Aldi's has great finds & more than fair prices! I never…read morerealized that there was an Aldi so close by to the Natick Mall. We decided to make a trip because we saw videos on TikTok & many creators stated that they have a bunch of seasonal cheese finds here... say no more, we are there! We haven't tried the cheeses from here yet but we picked up a variety of different cheese including creamy Havarti, jalapeño havarti, pepper jack, apple smoked Gouda, hot honey Gouda, blueberry vanilla goat cheese, cranberry white cheddar, double crème brie, Camembert, Asiago, manchego, packages of black pepper salami, herb salami, prosciutto, & an assortment of crackers. Recently, we've found an interest in creating our own charcuterie boards & experimenting + trying different cheeses to see what we like! It was pretty easy to find all the things we were looking for, though the layout was slightly different than the other Aldi locations I've been to (Walpole, Medford, Brockton, etc). Check out was easy; there was two lines and both moved rather quickly, in my opinion. Total for our 17 items ended up being $74, average of $4.35 for each item... still better than most other grocery stores. Parking: free parking lot
