Just visited the store this morning, i brought 2 insulated bags to check out. Unfortunatley i got the worst cashier & bagger team in the company. The lady cashier is always in a bad mood and acts like she is doing you a favor. This the 2nd time I have had their new bagger and the company should really offer a training course for new baggers. first time I had her she didn't offer a bag after my other one was full just threw the item back into the cart. Today she was terrible just threw things in and let them over flow there was plenty of room in both bags so they could have been zipped but she just thows things in haphazardly. if I see this team to be the only checkout option the next time i go i will probably leave thats how obnoxious these two are. read more

Last time I shopped here they were updating the store and it was a mess. Today I stopped in to pick up one thing and the experience was so different from my past visits that I shopped. Gotta give credit for a job well done. On the plus side: Produce looked better. I bought several items on sale - competitive with more reasonably priced markets. The new produce cases were a vast improvement. Lighting on aisles much improved and attractive. I have avoided this market for past few years - despite the fact that it's the market I drive by most frequently - because...well because it fell short of everything I look for in a supermarket. This time I even found Barilla whole grain elbows that I've looked everywhere for for many months! And the woman on the Deli counter even got info for me on a product. Yay you! Two criticisms: the old floors look really worn and dirty with all the new improvements. And I used the ladies room. It was abominable. That said it was overall a very good shopping experience. Wish they'd done it 10 years ago, but when they did get around to it, it was well done. I will definity go back and hope they continue to make improvements. read more

Those crazy robots they have in the aisle are sooooooo cooooooool. I asked my ex-wife if we could have one but her being the stupid cow she is said no. I want to see how they work. I would guess they use batteries but I'm not sure. After getting scared by the robot, I ran over to the meat department. The deli was packed with ham! SO GOOD! By far the worse store I have ever been to. Rude employees ("I am not a robot"), rude and wearing dirty clothes manager who told me the old, beginning to rot produce I was showing him was "looks good to me!". Flimsy new paper bags that have broken twice on me with items spilling out. They should be ashamed in the quality of this store. I have shopped them for years at other locations which were always good. They do a disservice to my community and should care more about the people they serve. Shame on you, Stop and Shop. some of the employees at customer service are very rude, especially Maria. She makes the customers wait while she chats with other employees or when she chats on telephone with personal calls. It is insulting to me,mi had to walk away and go elsewhere. many times I have encountered her inability to focus on the customers. she has no respect for Customers, she is actually annoyed at the thought of Customer service. There may be more than one Maria working, but the manager, more than likely, knows who this is. the store is a disgrace. read more

I go here only when it's more convenient, but it's still frustrating. I know it's hard to hire people, but other markets seem to be managing better. Now they're moving all their stock around - and not indicating where they've been moved to. I had the same problem with the woman on deli that Billy F spoke to. When I asked to try a deli meat and she handed me a sample the size of a silver dollar. When I asked if I could have regular size pieces she said she couldn't do that for me. I wish they'd just close it down. No other market would take on the reno they're doing while keeping the store open. It's a nightmare. read more

The WORST Stop and Shop in the state. Produce is NON EXISTENT. Cleared out aisles, and with the Corona it has been 10 Times worse than it USUALLY is. I have gone periodically a couple times week for the last 6 weeks and I haven't seen ONE roll of toilet paper or paper towel there. I have better luck shopping at a gas station. read more

Went to the Stoneham Stop and Shop Thursday June 11 at 5pm. I was only person at deli. Employee working the deli was the most rudest person I have ever encountered at this Stop and Shop. She was a short woman with a ponytail. I told her what I wanted, she went and got the meat and when she came back she asked how much I wanted again. I answered and also said thin sliced. She barked back at me, "I heard you the first time". I assumed since she didn't remember the amount I wanted the first time I said it, I would repeat how I would like it sliced again. Her attitude is horrendous for someone working with the public. If I was the manager of this store I would seek her out and teach her how to speak to the shoppers in a respectful way. wasnt going to say anything but will after thinking about it. the manager of the bakery is very rude!! came early and was fine with coming back to the time I asked but as i stood there he walked right by me and the product I had ordered was right on the counter and someone else who recognized me was very pleasant and said oh you are back and handed me my cake. if he is going to run the bakery someone should teach him some manners and customer skills. i will go elsewhere from now on. read more

hello sarah here so i want to give the store a rating of 4 stars. so why did i put a 5 star, ill tell you. i've been coming here to the stoneham mass stop and shop for the past few years now for my money orders and lottery mainly because most of the time you don't have what i'm looking for but that's ok everywhere is not fully stocked anymore due to covid i think, anyways..... the 4 star is because i like the area and parking is great. . but i do want to mention the young girl at customer service, her name is daniele. she is remarkably fast with customers and knows very well how to do her job there. she is a fantastic multi tasker at hand and very professional. (i work with customer service for over 25years and she is awesome at it!) she has helped me with my gas points, my app on my phone from how to log and how to use it and helped me create a whole new account!, she has helped me redeem points showed me about cupons has helped me to my car to help me pick up a case of water as its toheavy for me and everything you need to know abot this app. with any question ive ever asked her about product or anything like where somthing is. she knows this store and its products very well too. she has told me a few weeks ago she might be leaving as she needs better pay and i was sad for that as she always has helped me with all my questions no matter how silly they were. when she has her days off there i will say it is pretty caotic as other managers really have no respect or pataints like her or its closed the whole day.. its like they dont want to help you or you have to stand there and wait quite a few mins before anyone sees me there and then they go looking for some help and at that point i leave. i dont want to wait 10 mins for help while other managers a chit chatting. thats not ok. i refuse to get lottory or any service there. id rather wait for daniele next day on. shes always willing to help others and jumps from registers to service desk and shes very quick and efficient. so mainly my ponit is that she needs to be reconized as she has done and extroday thing today and she was not even at work! and im a customer of your store i had lost my purse at somepoint today while shopping (nice weather brings out the shopping in me!) and was devestaed. about 630pm i get a knock on my door and its her with my purse! she looked at my ID and came to my address! thank god. i had over $1000.00 in there as i just cashed a check the day before and everything and every cent was in there. she apologized about searching my purse for a ID and i said to her not to be silly. i wanted to reward her with 50 dollars and she refused it. all she asked is i pay it forward and thats what i want to do here. she needs to be reconized for her outstanding work she does and how she goes above and beyond for your customers on and off the clock. i will follow up with her to see if this gets to her from a higher up because it needs to. i hate to see her go and maybe shell stay who knows but she is deffinaly a true and honest employee you should fight to keep in your store. read more
