Cashier told the manager "these are all ringing up a penny." Manager told him unfortunately he has to sell to me, then proceeded to berate me in front of 2 lines of customers, saying "Oh, you're one of those Penny Queens. This store is notorious for penny shoppers like you. Well, I'm the new manager now, and that's going to change now that I'm in charge." I told her I guess they'd rather have perfectly good product sitting in a landfill. I let her know that I donate all the items I find for a penny, asked if the store does the same or whether they toss it. She claims she herself donates to veterans. I said GREAT! Not sure why she took issue with me donating perfectly good product to my local women's shelters and food pantry. I urge all "Penny Queens" to continue to shop here and say hello to the new manager with a power trip and attitude. :) Also, what is it about Dollar Trees always smelling like weed? The female came up to me and SAID I AM FIRST IN LINE NOT YOU SO WAIT YOUR TURN! I put my dollar item down and left and said to the 3 elderly people in front of me, sorry I tried to help. I will never go back to that store. As there is no customer service or ethics.

When I opened the box a week later, the product inside was damaged. I brought it to the store expecting an argument (since I just argued with the Medford store manager) and I was taking back by how nice everyone was here. Employees took it out of my trunk, brought it to the service rep he smiled, put it through and called for the store manager to approve it. In which she did with a smile. Here are several reasons why you might legitimately find yourself at Garnicks: 1. You need an old record player, radio, arcade game, or television fixed. 2. You have a hipster craving for records, VHS, or other outdated media. 3. You want to get the perfect gift for an audiophile but need someone to talk to about their music tastes to determine what they may not have and would like to have. 4. You like to talk about music and want to waste an hour with some older dudes who can chat your ear off better than a radio personality. 5. You want to sell your collection of records, CDs, VHS, or old concert paraphernalia and be done with them. 6. Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back. If they don't have it in the store, don't be afraid to ask- they have thousands of CDs and Records hidden from plain view. Like the other used record store in town, they do a lot of business on EBay to make up for what they don't do in store. They also buy old media, so bring it here to get it appraised before you put those records and CDs in a yard sale. The place is falling apart and a bit of a mess, but the guys know where everything is and can usually find what you're looking for in less than a minute. If you visit more than once, they'll get to know you, your tastes, and what you're looking for so they can keep it in store for you. Yikes! A lot changed since last time I was here…read more When you walk through the front door, you'll swear you're on the set of "Hoarders." There is stuff everywhere. You can barely make in through the aisles. I'm not sure what is available in the front room - if there isn't a giant stuffed animal blocking your view, there are boxes in the way. You want to see the jewelry in the front case. You can't. Too much junk in the way. If you make your way into the front side room, it is pretty tidy in there. That's where you'll find clothes, books, and puzzles. I checked the price of a paperback book - $2. Puzzles were between $2 and $5 (some new). If you make your way to the back room there is kitchenware and kids' toys. A used cheese grater that was originally $9 was marked $5. Too much for this cheapo. A vintage looking electrical appliance was $75. I don't know what is was, but that seems way too pricey for any small kitchen appliance. I was interested in some of the china, but it was packed in too tight with coffee cups ($2) dangling from hooks in front of them. Removing a plate would be like playing Jenga with glass blocks. They need to have a sale and get rid of some of the junk that is just in the way. People can't buy things if they can't see them. Do like other thrift stores and figure out a way to identify how long something has been on the store floor, and then automatically drop the price after a month or whatever. I know you want to make as much as you can for the charity, but if people can't see what you're selling, they won't buy it. If you price it too high for your clientele, it won't sell either. You can't raise money for the charity by just hoarding stuff! I do want to point out that the women who work here are very nice!

I didn't realize they were talking to me at first, and then stopped and looked up to see not only them, but five other customers in the store staring at me. I replied, "No, I'm all set. Just gonna grab a few things," and started shopping. After two minutes, the younger of the two women at the counter joined me in the aisle and asked if I needed help again. What the heck? If she wants to be my personal shopper while I'm in the store, who am I to stop her?. So she took my list and led me around the store. They didn't have a few of the things on the list, one of which was yellow bean sauce, but she actually called her sister (must be a family-run store) to ask if she knew if they carried that product. They don't, unfortunately, but A+ for going above and beyond my customer service expectations. Yesterday's visit was such an awkward yet pleasant experience. I wanted to raise my rating to five stars, but they didn't have several of the goods I was looking for, so I'll leave it at four.

I found a pricing discrepancy with the sofa we purchased and Marios promptly paid us the difference, Try that with Jordans or B&Ps..Delivery was excellent, very courteous. Go to Marios, you wont believe the amount of furniture they have inside, it's not a beautiful showroom that you the customer really are paying the overhead, just quality name brand furniture. We're so glad we went there vs heading to Nashua!!
