Thank you Yelp reviewers for recommending Storage Pro (on Townsend). Something about the chilly outdoors makes you want to stay indoors more often, for longer hours... Cabin fever eventually got me cleaning out my closets and shelves but I didn't want to throw away/donate everything, especially not my old mementos, like high school yearbooks, old photo albums, etc. After calling around one other place (at leas 30% more expensive for same/comparable size unit), I found Storage Pro on Yelp and the reviews were awesome. The great thing about them was that they had their rates up on their website - which made my life so much easier when deciding whether or not to select them for my storage needs. Thank you Storage Pro for making it easy for me to consider you. Pluses: * Fresh baked cookies (every day), my belly thanks you! * Clean facilities (and bathroom) * Very low cost moving supplies * Parking on the lot!!!! (But you have to back your car out into the street) * Super mellow and friendly workers. I called one time, no answer but they called back within the next 30 minutes and left me a message! And they predicted I was calling about the holiday hours (which I was) so they left me a message about that. Very cool. * Easy to access storage rooms with many flatbeds for you to use. * Month to month agreements - no long term contracts * It's never crowded there - like your very own personal storage garage * In the city - I don't have to drive to Brisbane or South City to get a good rate I have loaded my belongings in the past week multiple times and each time, the quality of experience is consistently the same - super chill and cool. They've definitely got the art of customer service and storage facilities locked down. And the last time I caved in and ate the cookies! Storage Pro is the place for your storage needs in SF. Clean space, professional staff and competitive rates. They provide great advice on your storage needs (help you to estimate the size of the unit you will need for your items). There are several parking spots inside to accommodate loading and what not and there are several dollys available to move small and large items to/from your vehicle and storage unit. After hearing all the horror stories recently on the news about theft at other storage places, this place is a no-brainer. read more

I HIGHLY recommend this place. I am a pretty picky person and did my research on storage places in the city by comparing prices, location, facility quality, and customer service attitude. I think I looked at 5 different places and this one by far won me over. For the unit I have, and the overall facility itself, the prices is really good. However their customer service is what was a key differentiator. I visited this place several times and each person I had contact with here was very accommodating and willing to take the time to explain things to me. Other places, people were just grumpy and all out ghetto and super slow. They always provide yummy cookie treats whenever I walk in to make me feel very welcome. This is an excellent storage facility. It's always clean and the staff is friendly, professional and always helpful. They used to have fresh baked cookies but I haven't seen them in a long time. They are located right by my office so it is pretty convenient except when I have to go there on the weekends and when there is a Giants game. We used to have a space with a slightly lower cost but the hours and location were not as convenient. If they were open before 9am and stayed open past 6pm I would definitely upgrade to 5 stars. But overall we are really very satisfied. read more

These guys are awesome. I went in there cos of the promise of fresh baked cookies (which were delicious) but these guys are so chill. I've been there since September and everytime I go in, I'm remembered and end up having a conversation with the person on duty (whether it's Will or Jason) for at least 20 minutes. Storage Pro is a great place to use for monthly storage. I shopped around before choosing Storage Pro, and they had the best rates I found. They are very responsive to email and phone calls. I had a few questions which I sent over email and they always responded within a half hour or less. When I arrived to move in my stuff, the staff member on duty was very helpful and attentive. He was very busy, but managed to attend to all customers' needs in a timely manner. I appreciated that he walked me up to my unit, demonstrated how to use the elevator and lock, and offered to do this anytime I came in. I'm happy with my choice, and strongly recommend them to anyone who is shopping around. read more

Of the numerous services I've used in the two months I've been in SF, few have been as helpful as this Storage Pros location. Will goes out of his way to make sure customers understand what they're getting and get what they want. I don't doubt that there are cheaper options but few are as well run as this operation. He is friendly and trustworthy and provides great advice about storing and moving items as well as about the surrounding area. The warehouse is very convenient to all downtown locations as well as Castro and the Mission. There is parking inside the structure so its proximity to AT&T Park should not be a big concern. There are always dollies for moving things between car and the storage unit. The elevator works fine and I'm always in and out in less than 10 minutes. The complimentary fresh-baked cookies are a bonus. read more

I had a unit here in 2007 for a company I was working for. The staff was excellent, very professional and accommodating. The place was clean, safe & secure. I stop by say "Hi" to Wil if I'm ever in the area. Storage Pro is lucky to have guys like Wil working there. BTW, I'm an A's fan, but I wish the GiGantes luck in the World Series this year. My company has been using Storage Pro for at least 6 years now. They have always done a terrific job. They are always responsive and helpful. The ability to park in the building is a huge benefit for us as we are invariably driving to their location. One small nitpick: Proximity to AT&T park can make access difficult when the Giant's have a game. Otherwise, I love 'em! read more

Their move in special is an scam, they force you to sign a 2 month lease at minimum, which is not in the ad, and won't tell you about it on the phone, I moved from LA, and when I go there it was late to find another place. the elevator is manual, so if some one takes it to 5 floor and doesn't close the door properly, you have to ring a bell hoping they get back and release it. or walk up to 5th floor and bring it down! you have to sign a paper (for firefighter safety etc) when you come in and leave the old guy working there is super nice and polite, read more

Will at Storage Pro rocks! I only rented for a month (for work) and he was totally professional and accommodating. They have the best pricing in SoMa (I shopped around a little) and they seem the most organized! We went in last weekend to pick up boxes and it was pretty busy. Storage Pro is great place to store your excess items, whichever they may be. Whether your storing your winter items and exchanging them for summer items, everything will be safe and clean. No leaky ceilings or visible mouse traps. The Customer service is also impeccable. They will go out of their way to make you feel welcome, promptly responding to your emails or calls. Storage Pro is exactly what I need and has been great for the last 5+yrs I've been there. I've had to upgrade to larger units throughout that time and felt like I was always taken care of fairly. Plus, their staff is great! Always helpful and personable. Free parking is a major bonus too! My only complaint is the access hours - I wish they would open a little earlier and stay open a little later - or have secondary access options for after hours. I've been renting a unit here for 7-months and I love this place (never thought I'd say that about a storage place, but there it is!). I've rented other spaces in SF in years past, but the service and location here just can not be beat! Will (the manager) has some of the best customer service skills ever. For example: I called once to ask about changing unit sizes. Person who answered was perfectly nice & helpful. Later that day, Will left me a voicemail explaining that the person I talked with is in training (I couldn't tell), he left a bunch more details & options, and offered to help more if I called back. If only AT&T or [Name Almost Any Other Company] had such service, I would never leave them. You can not go wrong with this storage if you are looking for one. The storage is well maintained, nice and clean. The staff here is very friends and they always keep an eye on people coming and going. We've rented a space here for several months and do not have any complaints. We will continue renting the space here as we know our stuff stored here is in good hands. It would be great if they can have longer hours on the weekend (Sat & Sun close at 4pm). I needed temporary storage and I wanted it to be close to home (South Beach in San Francisco). I looked into several facilities and StoragePro was my first choice. 1. The facilities are well lit and VERY neat and clean. 2. They are open 7 days per week 3. They have parking and sell packing supplies 4. They are SUPER friendly.... REALLY (and they have cookies on the counter in the office!) 5. Their customer service is VERY VERY GOOD. Everything is handled with a smile and promptly. Example, I first signed up a few months ago and within a couple of days my personal situation changed and I didn't need the storage. I went back to the office and explained. I've been renting from them since the end of 2009, when I moved to the SOMA area. Their facilities are kept very clean and safe. I can't say enough good things about Storage Pro staff. They are genuinely friendly, helpful, professional, and make the process of moving to storage unit seem so easy! We need storage for different reasons, some of us need it to just store extra stuff and some of us need it because we are faced with a life changing matter and we need to move our belongings to a little unit with a lock. This was my first time moving to storage so I had no clue what I need to do, what unit size I need I walked to storage pro and I observed how the staff on duty, Jim, was interacting with existing customers and that in start made me feel confident about moving forward with my choice. He took his time explaining the process, walked me around the storage area, and showed me couple of unites, asked me what I have, and gave me a good estimate of unit size most appropriate. He also recommended that I talk to Will who is been working at Storage Pro longer period to get his opinion on unit size. I called Will and he was equally as nice and told me if the unit size recommend is not big enough for my stuff, they will upgrade me to a bigger unit for no extra charge. I was not banking on this but it gave me a peace of mind to hear that! On my move date, Jim was helpful with movers and put my mind at ease. I decided to rent storage here after seeing the 5 star reviews on Yelp, and can only add more of the same. Great staff, very friendly and professional that go out of their way to get you what you need and ensure your stuff stays secure. The units are clean, dry and in good shape, and there is good access for cars & trucks. Access to units is only available during open hours which might make it less appropriate for some, but it's a fair trade for safety and security in the building. Their rates are pretty reasonable, especially for a location in the city, and they offer billing options to avoid unnecessary paperwork. Highly recommended. read more

We have used Storage Pro for over 2 years. Recently, we lost our Padlock key and the facility manager and office were very well equipped. Promptly helps us to remove the lock, although it cost us $25. The facility has kept clean and temperature was kept consistently. It has been hassle free and price is competitive; that's we stay with them for the past 2 years. read more

They are the only place I visited in SF that took the time to show me my options and did not try and force me into a larger unit. We were moving stuff from my apt and storage into another apt and to storage pro. - The guy I was working with was so so so nice, trying to get the paperwork done as quickly as possible. - My fiancee called me from the old storage place and said he couldn't find the key (in all the moving commotion it got lost) - The staff member there heard me talking to my fiancee on the phone about it while I was finishing up the paperwork for Storage Pro - He then called my fiancee to ask if he could help out in anyway.
