I don't recommend this place. They raise your rent price more than 2 times a year whenever they feel like it with zero upkeep of our climate controlled unit. I'm talking pests and bugs in our unit and it's indoor. They just raised our unit in price because FL repealed state taxes on rental units. They literally just raised it in September, now they're raising it again because of the state tax.. Find somewhere else, don't get stuck like us. read more

Reservation process was quick and easy. The units are very affordable. The 24hr facility is gated, well lit, clean, and well managed.

Storage King on Alico is hands down the best storage facility in SWFL! I've experienced nothing but great things in the 2+ years I've rented a unit there. Jerry the Project Manager of the Facility is probably the nicest and most professional human being I've ever experienced and I worked at some nice places in hospitality so I'd like to think I know a fantastic employee when I see one. Since storage King USA took over this facility. It has been a nightmare. Gates are not working. The hours have changed. We do not have as many amenities. The air conditioners are not working. The units are actually hot. And my bill goes up every single month with no explanation even though I'm losing amenities like my 24 hour access and the air-conditioning I didn't have lighting in my unit for a whole month and they charged me $20 additional. Do not recommend go somewhere else. read more

I rented a unit and a uhaul from this location and i am extremely satisfied with my experience. The unit was very clean and kept cool. Easy access to the unit. I had issues booking the uhaul online but Chrisalena was very helpful in solving these issues and was quick to helping with my checkout. She was excellent in making such a stressful process smooth! Monika Curry, "Property Manager" was extremely rude to us. We walked in without a mask and was told we needed a mask to be inside. My brother and I went to our vehicle to get a mask and were having our own conversation that Monika felt the need to chirp in on. She then argued with my younger brother and told him to leave the store. This lady was very aggressive and rude in her manners. I did not proceed with giving her my service and recommend others using more local companies versus this entitled lady who doesn't value a customer or the customer's moving experience which already sucks. read more

I find it interesting that it took 3 months to respond to my concerns even after multiple phone calls to your corporate number. I have yet to have any one contact me personally with my concerns even after specifically requesting a return call. No worries. There are many alternatives in the area who treat their customer base well and have corporate people who actually take concerns seriously and return calls. read more

I rented a small climate controlled unit which I thought I wouldn't use that long so I admit I didn't research this location as thoroughly as I should have. One day when I went by to check on things the building area my unit was in smelled like cigarette smoke to me so I finally decided to move my items out for good. In doing so I found that water had at some point leaked into my unit and damaged items that were stored on the floor. I brought this to the attention of the front office and they mentioned they would need to take photos and gave me their office hours. Of course when I showed up on a Thursday after lunch the one person that needed to take the photos was out. In a call back later from the office (my third contact with them since the incident) they then indicated that I should first file with the insurance company. They do make you show proof of insurance and I had opted to purchase it from the company they offer. But when I began filing a claim the first letter back from the insurance company indicated that they don't cover water damage. Suffice it to say I'm just living with the loss and learning lesson. There are damaged exterior doors that aren't repaired. Instead they just put an out of order sign on them. There are plants growing in the rain gutters (perhaps that's what caused my water damage). There are numerous vehicles stored around the edge of the property including a trailer of trash. See my profile photos. read more

I rented a U-Haul on 11-26-18 from Storage King on Alico in Fort Myers. I would give 10 stars if I could! The customer service I received was nothing less than outstanding. The office staff were friendly, efficient, and very accommodating. When I rented the truck, things went perfect. When I returned the truck, I felt like I was royalty! I was hot from moving, and I was even offered a cold drink! We all know moving and renting moving trucks can be daunting at times to say the least. I have rented many trucks throughout the years and I have to say that this time was the best that I was ever treated. Not only are the staff friendly and knowledgeable, but they are also very efficient. Thank you to the two women that helped me. You two were great! A big thank you to Storage King USA also for hiring these employees. Customer service was an A+! read more

My wife had reserved a unit here online. When I went into the office I had rented a unit and tried to get the money back from my wife's reservation. The manager Monica had stated over the phone since she wasn't in it wouldn't be a problem. That was a Friday. I gave them all the info they had asked for (credit card number, exp. date and CCV) and on Monday found out that we couldn't get our money back on a unit we never signed a contract for. I was told that the district manager of Storage King had told Monica that we couldn't get our money back on the online reservation since it was over a 24 hour period that we had made the reservation even though we didn't sign a contract on that unit. Mind you I already had rented a unit of the same dimensions from this faculty. So now we're being billed for a unit we have never used and never needed for a contract we never signed. I'm going to speak to the attorney general to see what we can do to get our money back. Within a one month period they've charged our card close to $300 for services we never used. read more
