We are now up to $504 @month for a 10 X 20 drive up which is robbery. They have made many mistakes. They wanted to gain access several years ago to "paint" the units. There was nothing to paint. Just aluminum walls remain. So, they removed the cylindrical locks and never replaced them. Then, after the last big Hurricane, they contacted everyone and said that there was water and mud damage and had to gain access again. There was no damage but lots of stuff was missing. I did not pursue it. When they removed the cylindrical locks, we had to replace it with a standard padlock and key. They put their own temporary lock on it until I was able to replace it. They used to have a resident manager who is no longer living there and the office is no longer manned. Everything is done remotely. I should have removed my things a long time ago and am finally doing something in order to get my things into a more reasonable storage up the road. There seems to be poor regional management and I am not impressed with the way that they run their business. For a time, they were inconveniencing me because I was living and working overseas and felt that they were not reliable or understanding about my inability to return to this location to fulfill their requests to change locks, "paint" and "Hurricane" damage which did not exist. At one point, their regional manager called my "emergency contact" without contacting me first. For the record, I have never been late with payment and in recent years used "auto pay". This location needs to get it together and run it with customer service in mind. I am now paying a fraction of the rental price with their competitor up the road. $504 @ month is not sustainable for anyone. I just notified their "chat line" of my intention to vacate the premises and was offered a $100 @ month discount. Even $404 @ month is way out of line for this storage location. I would not recommend this location at these rates. I think they are disorganized and lacking managerial oversight. I wish I could stay but it is not cost effective.

Not only did they have serious, unresolved roof leaks for nearly 6 months, that they refused to…read moreinform any of their renters. By the time I realized the issue, everything I owned in their climate controlled, air conditioned unit was covered in mold. When I addressed it, I was told to just file a claim with the renters insurance that I had purchased. The owners had No apologies, offered no compensation, no help dealing with the situation, nor any empathy whatsoever for what they had caused. Zero. I feel like this is what disappointed me most. The renters insurance covers $2,000 max. That didn't nearly cover the damages. My unit was not the only one affected. There were dozens of dozens of units affected by the mold. But if you need any more reasons to not rent from them, they hike up the renter's cost almost every month! And not by small amounts. Within a few years, the cost was DOUBLED.

After 5 days it becomes 100 dollars and they turn off the pay by bank feature so you can only pay by card which adds a 20 dollars convenience fee. If you pay 30 days late on top of the fees added you have to pay an addition 110 dollar lien fee. I have been there for years before they became Cubesmart. The owner and staff then were some cool people and they would work with you if something happened. Cubesmart is just some greedy conglomerate that just wants more money.

Unlike our other unit this unit is caged off at about 8' so we needed to get a larger unit which was no hassle to do at all. We were still saving A LOT of money. John and the prices of the units are what make this storage facility the best one in Fort Myers, Florida!

Crossroads is an incredible brand new storage location accommodating motor-homes, boats, vehicles…read moreand many other storage needs. We visited the facility last week and were truly blown away by all the features and the exceptional customer service. They have lots of enclosed units in a variety of sizes, with the largest big enough to store our 45-foot motor-home. The enclosed units have temperature control and their own electrical panels along with coded access. There are also canopy options, which have electrical hook-ups AND fire suppression systems. And the entire facility is surrounded by a high wall, security cameras and storm drainage. In fact, we learned the entire facility has been built to withstand severe weather. Lastly, the owners are wonderful (which was mirrored by the other customers we met last week) - this is a family owned business and you can tell their genuine customer service and communications come from the heart AND the sincere desire to be successful by way of providing a great storage option with excellent service. Pricing options give real value for money and with no flexing. And we were told we can use the wash bay for free. We researched lots of places in the surrounding area and we would absolutely state this is the best option by far. In fact, we've not seen anything like it anywhere. 10/10.
