The said to call and let them know, well nobody seems to remember me calling and I never checked back into the lot. Rent is due the 1st. I found out last week that my credit card was charged anyway. Okay, I signed a piece of paper 11 days before rent is due stating that I was leaving, I called and canceled, never signed back in and still charged. I called last week and never heard back. So, I called again today to follow up since they didn't. Nope, no refund, no recollection of phone call and then hung up on me...Would I store with them again, NO!!! The only thing missing was a cylindrical lock which I paid for in advance and the website stated that "the lock would be inside the unit". It was not. My guess is it was after office hours and I will return tomorrow to get the lock from the Manager. The facility is very clean and looks well maintained. So far, so good. If the rates go up too much, I will move my things again. I did not mind paying for four months up front in order to get the better monthly rate. Hopefully, this will be a better situation since my last storage unit did NOT have an onsite manager or manned office. Everything was done remotely and I could not justify the cost for zero service. I would rent from Extra Space Storage before any Public Storage Facility.

I had to jump through hoops to cancel the insurance with Public Storage. It took me over an hour to find the segment of insurance on the Public Storage app. I was finally able to cancel it and took a snapshot of the verification because I know these people at Public Storage will probably try to cheat me. I smell a class action lawsuit, Public Storage!

I have been a customer for several years. Even though the facility is a nice one, this location is…read moremore expensive than any other competitor. They raise the rent constantly. We are now up to $504 @month for a 10 X 20 drive up which is robbery. They have made many mistakes. They wanted to gain access several years ago to "paint" the units. There was nothing to paint. Just aluminum walls remain. So, they removed the cylindrical locks and never replaced them. Then, after the last big Hurricane, they contacted everyone and said that there was water and mud damage and had to gain access again. There was no damage but lots of stuff was missing. I did not pursue it. When they removed the cylindrical locks, we had to replace it with a standard padlock and key. They put their own temporary lock on it until I was able to replace it. They used to have a resident manager who is no longer living there and the office is no longer manned. Everything is done remotely. I should have removed my things a long time ago and am finally doing something in order to get my things into a more reasonable storage up the road. There seems to be poor regional management and I am not impressed with the way that they run their business. For a time, they were inconveniencing me because I was living and working overseas and felt that they were not reliable or understanding about my inability to return to this location to fulfill their requests to change locks, "paint" and "Hurricane" damage which did not exist. At one point, their regional manager called my "emergency contact" without contacting me first. For the record, I have never been late with payment and in recent years used "auto pay". This location needs to get it together and run it with customer service in mind. I am now paying a fraction of the rental price with their competitor up the road. $504 @ month is not sustainable for anyone. I just notified their "chat line" of my intention to vacate the premises and was offered a $100 @ month discount. Even $404 @ month is way out of line for this storage location. I would not recommend this location at these rates. I think they are disorganized and lacking managerial oversight. I wish I could stay but it is not cost effective.

In that 20 days we went to the unit several times to take carloads of stuff and each time we received a email that our account was closed and they would be clearing our unit. We finally got this removed so we could get our stuff out the last day. ALSO DON'T BUY THEIR INSURANCE. GET FROM SOMEONE ELSE!

I have called Metro Self Storage on Summerlin Road in Fort Myers multiple times trying to pay my…read morestorage fee, but they refuse to take payments or update credit card information via the phone. The website they tell me I must use to pay and update my payment information has been down and will not allow me to update my credit card. When I call the corporate office, they acknowledged that the website is not working properly and that many customers are having trouble paying their fees. Their only option is to come in or I will be assessed late fees. They acknowledged the fact that I work out of the area but refuse to understand why I am unable to come in and pay in person. I have now made seven phone calls, sent emails and tried countless times to pay them via multiple methods but they refuse to take my payment. To threaten a customer with fees and tell them you are denying them access to their belongings because you refuse to accept their payments over the phone and your website is down is ridiculous. Judging by the fact that previous reviewers have been having the same issues for the past year, it sounds like management is more interested in scamming customers into late fees than actually taking payments. If you're looking for storage, stay away from Metro Self Storage on Summerlin.

This Lock Up facility exceeded my expectations. It is always very clean, humidity controlled and has two managers available, who are responsive in person and by telephone. And, importantly, it has four floors of storage units so my Furnishings could be stored well above ground. After reviewing a variety of options, when discovered facility, I knew it was a place in which I could be confident.
