I had a unit with the Extra Space Storage on 108 Skateway Dr. in Fayetteville, NC. I didn't have…read moreany issues before but after I got robbed from unit I no longer use them and wouldn't advise anyone to use them. To give some context, I had my unit for over a year and had went by there to put a few things inside it. I had things from mychildhood and collectibles that were irreplaceable. I didn't secure the lock on my unit and I was notified but I live an hr outside of Fayetteville. I got to my unit a few days later and saw that it had been robbed. At least $3000 worth of things were taken. I called the police and did the necessary steps to report it. I filed a claim and was told because the unit was not 'forcefully' broken into there was nothing they would reimburse me for. Therefore I could not get paid back for anything that was stolen. I moved my remaining belongings out soon after that. I have been in contact with the detective over my case and he informed that this has happened 15 separate times at that same faculty. He had advised that I moved my things out (to which I already had) and that no one should use that faculty at all. This is in contrast to the manager I spoke with the day I discovered my things were gone, she said that this almost never happens. I am sharing this to let others know and to hopefully prevent anyone from having to go through this. DO NOT use the Extra Space Storage on 108 Skateway Dr, Fayetteville NC. They have allowed 16 people to get robbed out of their units and their company will not reimburse you for the things you held dear being taken from a place where there is supposed to be secure. On top of that, they raise the rates higher every other month, my bill started at $87 then was raised to $158 before being lowered to $123 then being raised again (after my things were stolen) to $166. Please be mindful of the place you chose to use and don't use them.

Suddenly- wizard of oz comes from behind curtain demanding to have "her" artist return to the lair. This demand was authoritative, demanding and inappropriate given that I was talking with the artist. I advised the manager of such and received a directive to leave her store and take my business elsewhere. Having already paid for my ( Republican) shirts- the air deteriorated rapidly. I needed my money back ... but manager called police saying I was trespassing and she didn't want my business. ( finances uncertain and threatening cops I left her know she was certainly behaving like an itch ( for no reason for a customer simply talking to her staff - about my product order -and design needs - iron about boundaries (omg) . I left went to Trophy House making same order- without issue and after calling bank to assure account not charged. stunned . Yet not surprised as my shirt was for military dependents/family who had experienced foreign /domestic borders from the deployments of their service members... with appreciation for our service members going to these borders for our country. Too much for a business trying to earn a living from the military. My dad - an original airborne parachute trooper - 509th airborne ( verifiable) was applauded by the power and control tantrum of this manager . If she is the owner she should close her business. If manager - well.
