We rented a covered space for our RV in 2018. Since that time, our catalytic converter, the RV, and almost 100% of the contents have been stolen from the yard. The first incident occurred in 2021, during the pandemic when the catalytic converter was stolen. Given supply chain issues, it was extremely difficult and stressful to find and replace the catalytic converter before we left for a cross-country trip. In December 2023 the RV was stolen and almost 100% of the contents were removed. Fortunately, LAPD found our RV. We are in the process of getting the exterior and interior damage fixed and the contents replaced. This has been a long, stressful, very expensive, emotionally draining process that has taken our vehicle out of commission for at least three months. The theft of our RV occurred because someone cut the chain-link fence to access the yard, tampered with the door locks, and used something like a screwdriver to start the engine. The thieves cut the chain that powered the entry gate, drove out, and returned to steal another vehicle! This occurred around 3:00 am when there was supposed to be personnel on duty patrolling the yard. Initially, Storage Outlet was accommodating as we were given a 2-month reprieve on our rental fee, but when we asked for an extension for another month, we were denied. Additionally, in considering whether to continue to use Storage Outlet, we inquired whether any safety and security improvements had been made such as alarming the gate with an audible or silent alarm, we were told that nothing had or was going to be done! We are not the first people to complain about the safety and security of Storage Outlet. Having learned that no security improvements will be made, we found another arrangement that is more secure and costs less per month. After all we have been through, I would never use Storage Outlet again. read more

A very dishonest place. I had agreed to come down and review a rental space for my R.V., With the Manager(Maria). I arrive to review the space with the manager and I agree to rent. As soon as I return to the office, I am told I can not rent the space since someone had just rented it. I then tell the manager, "I do not understand?, I just reviewed the location with you, and have agreed to rent it". The manager then informs me that their website takes priority over the rental locations. I then tell her, " what's the point of bringing me down here to review a location?, and then tell me I am not allowed to rent it. PLEASE DO NOT KEEP ANYTHING VALUABLE HERE. After storing here for less than 3 months our enclosed trailer was broken into. Our kids quads and dirtbikes were all stolen from the trailer. It is currently 5 days after we were told our trailer was compromised and the storage employee informed me that she is still too busy to look through the footage to provide any information. 10k worth of stolen items- but they have other priorities. After our break in i have had MANY people reach out to me in the same situation. In May an enclosed trailer was stolen with a sandrail inside. In July alone there were break ins with theft of off road toys on the 4th, 12th, 18th and that is only counting those from people who reached out to me. The storage outlet is fully aware of this problem, yet they refuse to provide any night time security. Fair warning- do not store here. read more

Don't look to this place for long term or secure/safe storage. Storing my RV here for almost a year and a half and they have raised my storage fees twice and my gas Scooter that was chained to my RV was stolen after the thieves cut the the fence, and dragged it through the park. No heads up for people to check their property just in case. Another negative is that this place requires you to have insurance on your vehicle and do not provide an option for additional coverage if your unable to aquire full coverage for your 37 year old rv. That means, if your vehicle is damaged or stolen there is no way to recoup your loss and they will not be liable. Additionally, their is no after hours security to verify who is entering the facility so whenever towtruck renters go in and out throughout the night, ANYONE can piggyback and enter. My parents just informed me that their catalytic converter was stolen from their motor home. I am furious. This is the 2nd incident where my parents motor home has been vandalized. The first incident they had their window broken. They have no security cameras in the back and they are well aware of the situation. My dad has discussed this matter with management but they do nothing to rectify the situation. This will be a costly repair for my parents. I am disgusted! DO NOT STORE ANYTHING HERE!!! MANY BREAK INS!!! I've only been renting here for 5 days and I already got broken into. They were after the truck battery and tried cutting the cord connected to the battery. They smashed our truck window to pop the hood, glass shattered everywhere. The front desk don't care or try to make the security any better. All they do is tell you to make a police report and call your insurance. I spoke to another tenant, and he said there was another break in last week in a trailer and he is moving out to a safer storage place with stricter security. DO NOT RENT HERE!!! I too was burglarized here. This place is common for burglaries and staff is too incompetent to prevent any further issues with burglaries and break ins. This company does not take anything serious when it comes to security and maintaining customer loyalty. Management is negligent and lacks complete knowledge and skills on how to operate property management. I have lost thousands of dollars in personal belongings due to a break in from a tenant they rented to without any identity confirmation. That same tenant was loose on the property for a copious amount of time breaking into other units and vehicles. Management lives on site to prevent these exact issues but no actions were taken to cease and/or apprehend the suspect with local authorities. Apparently these people (bellflower storage outlet) will rent to anyone with any false identification so that you can get burglarized without any trace to any suspects. These details come from Det.
