They are aware they are causing emotional harm and unnecessary stress on their customers, but they don't care at all. Our entire system is failing when these companies can manipulate the fair market value of storage unit rentals, thereby price-gouging everyone. It is very clear they are using software that raises rates, violating anti-trust laws, destroying a free market that harms the consumer. I thought I met a friend, but he wasn't; he is just another employee working for a company that cares nothing about people and only cares about enriching itself. I remember hearing him say that rates are going up again and he can get $325 for my unit. There needs to be laws passed that rein in these facilities, a rent cap, a cap on rent hikes. They should not be allowed to raise the rent every 3 months or every year. If rent is paid leave the consumer alone. Strict rules and heavy penalties, and fines need to happen. Or the harming of consumers continue.

Lauren has been a tremendous help because she was always available for questions. Ready willing and able to help when there was a need. Pricing at the facility is a reflection of what is comparable in Fremont and surrounding areas. Lauren understands and empathizes with price changes thus willing to step in see what actions and options are available. My experience thus far with the location is enjoyable knowing that the people there are willing to stop and take time to make sure all is well and that the facility is clean and well monitored. Our company has been a loyal client of Extra Space--now Secure Space--for over a decade. However, the treatment my staff has received in just one month under the new ownership is the reason we're moving to a more customer-focused provider. Store Manager Emmanuel Balagot made it clear that customer service is not a priority. His lack of professionalism and unwillingness to work with us is unacceptable. When we paid our monthly invoice using the previous company's name, Secure Space locked us out because they couldn't process the check. How is that our fault? This delay put us behind for a month while we reconciled the payment. One payment issue--caused by Secure Space--was enough for them to deny us access. Good luck to everyone and remember there are other storage companies that truly value their customers. Beware of management!

After renting for several years here, I am too far away to maintain this location for my storage needs. Why you coming here hanging out, you can't make it a habit to come everyday, you been here for 3 hours blah blah blah". At the moment, I wasn't in the mood to argue or explain anything to him besides that my wife is cleaning the storage. Dude, the gate hours are 7am-7pm, I pay for my storage every damn month and I have the right to come to my storage every damn day for as long as I want to clean up or pick up my property. We're not bothering no one, we aren't making a mess anywhere. My family and I keep to ourselves. Like what does he think we're doing, that we're just casually hanging out there like it's a club or something. I told my wife the incident and she says he's an idiot and who he think he is. Doe he pays for our storage? Doesn't the gate says "gate access from 7am-7pm"?! It don't say anything in the fine print that I have a time limit in our storage unit or that I can't come everyday. All I gotta say is what an annoying management, who's also an idiot btw. We will be moving our belongings to a different company. And we better not have our storage unit all of a sudden broken into because of this review I'm leaving either. Update 6/29/23 I attached a screenshot of my contract with this storage unit and there's nothing in the contract that says I'm not allow to come to my storage everyday nor does it say how many hours I'm allow to stay in my unit. I suggest whoever wants to rent here that you find some other storage to rent, especially a storage company with longer hours and better management so you don't have to deal with ignorant management like I did. Anyways, I packed all my belongs from unit 827, left it empty as it was when I moved in with no trash and the storage door open so management knows I'm not renting the unit anymore. I decided not to say anything to management because I don't feed attention to ignorant people.
