On Saturday, my husband and I went to the unit and as soon as we pushed up the door, the latch fell off. This meant there was no way to secure the unit and our belongings inside. Since the website said there was onsite support on Saturday, I walked to the front office. The woman living there (not an employee) said she couldn't help but I could "call Donald in Bentonville." Unfortunately she did not know what number Donald could be reached at. I called the "support" number I was given, which was an answering service that never answered, not even to let me leave a voicemail. Since my paperwork said I could also text this number, I did, and no response. Since our belongings could not be locked up, my husband did a temp fix to make the latch and lock appear to be all right. We spent the rest of our Saturday securing another unit at a different company and moving all over our property to the new location. While we were doing all this extra work, I sent an email to the "support" address. I didn't expect a response, and naturally, didn't get one. When my husband and I went in Monday morning to cancel the rental, Donald was in the office. He said he had read my email, but since I had said in the email that I wanted to cancel, he didn't bother responding and "thought I'd just wait until you showed up." (Apparently he didn't think it was worth it to try to save a customer by responding immediately.) Donald apologized, but took no personal responsibility and instead blamed the owners, complained that they don't listen to him, and brushed off my husband's suggestions (a contractor with 50 years of construction expertise) on how to make sure a latch stays attached to a door that is constantly being opened and shut. Once we had our cancellation confirmation, Donald offered us another unit at one of the other facilities he manages. I couldn't believe the gall he had to think that we would want to keep doing business with this company, but I was also frustrated that he didn't mention this until after everything was over. Had he offered us a unit at the other location (which was actually closer to where we are moving) when I sent him the email on Saturday, I might have been tempted to remain a paying client because he cared enough to try to save the sale. I'd also like to mention the mess that has collected around the units toward the back of the facility. We had to sweep away small limbs, rocks and pick up trash that was scattered all over the drive-up area when we originally moved in. In all, the absolute worst and most unprofessional experience I have ever had at a storage facility. Update: Four hours after I posted this review, I received a call from someone who said he was an employee of Snapbox who said "I see you called us on Saturday," and then just waited for me to explain myself. I told him I had already cancelled the rental and hung up.

    Rented a unit online for the online price of $13 a month with 1 month free. After 2 months of…read morepaying the $13 I got an email that they were raising the rent to $60 a month. Took a full day to actually be able to talk to a person regarding the email. They stated that in the lease it is a month to month price and it can be adjusted at anytime. Be AWARE of the online price....They only give that to you to get you in the door for a good price and then jack it up immediately. Waste of time and $35 admin fee they charged at the beginning. STAY AWAY.

We rented a unit from here back when it was…read moreAJs Storage (a family owned company), so Extra Space inherited us when the company sold. In the matter of less than 6 months, cameras and code entries for the building were ripped out and not replaced (the doors don't even lock or latch fully anymore), prices were raised multiple times with very little notice (now more than double what was paying originally), and staff no longer is at location half the time. I went 3x this week to no one in office. Finally had a moment to call the number they post on door stating "we are on property, call or text us and we'll be right here to help you", to be told "oh we are handling that property mostly remotely including today". We terminated our contract pretty quickly. I called to ensure we terminated acted fully and went to go take photos of the issues like ripped out code pads... within 30 seconds of hanging up for termination, my code was deactivated. Quick to do that and raise prices but not quick to provide any form of decent customer service or maintain the actual security we had been paying for. Total joke of a company and would not recommend to my worst enemy.

After Lance sold, cleanliness deteriorated (rat feces in my unit and hallway) dust. Abandoned furniture left between buildings. Phone calls or emails not immediately returned. Very poor service. Price is not competitive. $120 month for climate controlled. Divider between storage spaces does not go up to ceiling allowing access to your space. Would not recommend.

    The original owner Lance and his family opened Family Storage in April 2022, I began renting 2…read moreunits from him in July 2022. Lance truly cared about his customers and kept the facility fence, gate and coded doors operational and the facility free of pests and rodents. I frequently was in and out of my units and I never found the gate broken nor evidence of mice and rat infestations. Lance sold his business to MyStorage in May 2023. In June 2023 I moved to out of state and was only able to move 1 of my units at that time, this is when I first found mice and rat droppings in my units, damage to my belongings, mice/rat urine on the boxes, rodent nests made from the the furniture blankets and boxes chewed through. I recorded mice actively running in the hallways of the building, many doors to the buildings no longer closed and were wide opened, the security gate was open and not operational. When I spoke to Shonda, all she could say was we have pest control and we are not responsible for damage and that she would let the pest control people. Not once did the management or owners attempt to make the situation right, nor did they inform me that they were now offering new renters (at renter expense) insurance that covered rodent damage. Lets jump to Aug 2024, I was finally able to come back to the unit to get the rest of my things, I found the fence and gate had been taken down and all security measures to the buildings removed, doors to the unit wide open. Many units were empty with great trepidation I opened my unit to a massive amount of rodent damage, nesting, urine, droppings on all of my belongings. There comment is what do you care you are moving out when I asked about the lack of security and damage. Another tenant was moving out and she actually found dead rats in her unit. She also rented originally with Lance. What ever you do DO NOT EVER RENT STORAGE UNITS AT MYSTORAGE they don't care about you or your belongings!
