The roof leaks!! Do not rent here!!! It's $200 a month and all my stuff is ruined. The boxes are so wet and moldy I can't even move them out. They refused to care, wouldn't even loan me boxes to save a few things i couto move out. read more

I had a storage here for yrs. in fact, I had a storage unit before it was KeyLock. After Keylock took over I have many small issues with the company, including attempting to contact me by snail mail instead of email as requested and getting charged a late for and being threatened with losing all my belongings if I did not pay the fee. The day before I arrived to remove my storage, I called stating after yrs I cannot find the key so is someone available to cut off the lock. We agreed on arrival time for maintenance to cut lock. I flew 3000 miles picked up a rental truck, called and stated that I was on my way, and when I arrived I was told 'the maintenance man is not available and had no idea when he would be'!!! I flew 300 miles picked up a truck drove there and arrived at the prescribed time and found out the lady on the phone n had not checked with maintenance man about the time. Yes I was a bit upset, never raised my voice, yet did voice my disappointment. A few weeks later I called as I received a refund check and I wanted to speak with someone about it. The last receipt i received for 9/2019 stated I had a credit of $340. My check was substantially less. A gent answered the phone and after explaining, he said well it states here you were very upset and did not treat the employee well. I said, 'I flew 300 miles, rented a truck, drove the hour to the location arriving on time to find out the employee did not check with maintenance man, was I am upset customer yes I was'!! I was told the receipt system did not match the ledger, yet their ledger was the 'bible' for refunds. I am thrilled not to be paying these people another dime!! On a positive note: The maintenance man was a gem!!! After meeting him, I only spoke to him for the rest of my time there!! Maybe the maintenance man should train all employees on customer service/common courtesy!! read more

I have a storage unit here, but every time I change my gate code it says invalid code entered when it worked immediately after changing it. Key lock storage needs to work on their keyless entry gates. read more

Closed out my storage space a few months ago and received a credit for the rest of the month which I did receive, but I had autopay on from my bank and they received another check for the following month. Despite several phone calls, no one has returned my call to refund me the money. 7/25/2016 Received a call from Keylock who never cashed the check. I called Wells Fargo Bill Pay department today. Their procedure is to debit my account when they send out a check so that it can't possibly bounce but it looked to me like the check had been cashed. They put out a stop payment with no fees today and will return the money to my account from their holding fund. I called Keylock back and spoke to Liz who was very pleasant and she is going to shred the check. read more

The staff is very pleasant ...however, the gates have never worked for getting in or out of the facility. We have even been "locked in" too. The staff tells me they are aware of the problem and we are not the only ones effected; but sadly after 3 months it's still not fixed. read more

My 75 year old mother has had a storage unit with Keylock Storage in Coeur d'Alene since they opened 15 years ago. In that entire time she has consistently made her monthly payments - and in fact has not been late even once. At the beginning of this month she was admitted to the hospital with some chest pains and it turns out she has a very aggressive and terminal form of cancer. Because she has been in the hospital, she has not been able to make her payment on the storage unit for this month. When I explained the situation to Keylock and told them we would be paying the bill right away, I assumed that they would waive any late fees given the situation (they even commented that they thought it was odd because she had never been late in the past). Not only did they did not forgive her late fees, they are in fact insisting on charging a "Late fee #2" as well. While I can not speak to the facilities, etc., this interaction has left me extremely cold on Keylock Storage and we will be moving my mother's belongings as soon as possible. For a company that has "focusing on customer service" as the headline of their website, the lack of sensitivity and loyalty to one of their longest running customers is remarkable. I guess we all have to decide what is important to us and who we do business with, and I would not encourage anyone to rent a storage space from Keylock Storage read more

Leslie, the manager, is wonderful. She helped us facilitate our move from California with the best solutions for our temporary storage needs. She was always friendly and accomodating and the facility was clean and secure. She also gave us a lead to contact for a place to live while we waited for our house to close. read more

My husband and I were checking into our first storage unit today and while filling out paperwork the ladies at the front desk were very helpful. However, part of the registration process required we review their business online. First of all, I don't want to review your business because I haven't used it yet and second of all, as a customer, I don't want to be forced to write a review. That should be something consumers do if they are satisfied with a product. She even went online to make sure I did it right in their office. Thanks but no thanks. read more

While moving to a Priest River from CDA, I needed a storage unit for our excess furniture and random household items. After searching online and contacting several storage facilities, I decided to go into Keylock Storage. The staff was absolutely amazing! I signed up that day. Even though a couple other places had quoted slightly lower rates, the cleanliness, location and friendly staff was my deciding factor. I have nothing but praise for this facility and the company as a whole. I would gladly recommend them to anyone and would rent from them again if I ever am in need again of a storage unit! read more
