Hands down my favorite coffee shop to get a shaken espresso drink. My favorite one here is the dizzy bee shaken espresso. This location is a bit far out from where I am but wanted to check it out. I ordered a caramel latte and a cookie butter latte in the drive thru. Service was friendly and fast. My cookie butter latte didn't have a strong cookie butter flavor but it is the best cookie butter latte I've had. I've tried other coffee shop versions and this was by far the closest to a cookie butter flavor. It was delicious and my husband remarked that his caramel latte was made really well on this visit. I didn't go inside on this visit but I have spent time inside and it has a relaxed atmosphere that is perfect for work or socializing. Our family moved to Gretna a few months ago, but so far this Stories location is our favorite place for coffee. read more

I can't believe I've lived down the street from this location for so long and have just now visited Stories! My husband and I stopped in to get a gift card and thought we might as well grab breakfast and a coffee while we were there. The location is bright and modern with tons of seating options and the baristas were so cheery and sweet. The coffee menu is extensive, but I opted for a black coffee which was very good and only slightly more bitter than my preference. The best part of our visit, however, was the pork belly breakfast burrito. I was leary about ordering this from a coffee shop, but WOW - it was amazing. We both agreed it was one of our favorite breakfast burritos that we have ever had. read more

I wanted to love this place, and the atmosphere and service were five stars, but we ordered salads for lunch, and the salad dressing was terrible we opted for the balsamic vinaigrette, which was some of the worst I have ever had, and I eat and order salads all the time with this dressing option. It was just very disappointing, and my grandmother felt the same way. My advice is to get some new salad dressing and options if you're going to serve salads. read more

Stories is easily in my top five favorite coffee places in Omaha! The food feels homemade and the staff is always so friendly and helpful! Not to mention the coffee is great obviously. They also have my favorite matcha latte in town. The open space is great for a planning session or curling up on one of the couches to read. Always a great stop! read more

This is now my go-to when I need a coffee shop to work at. Their matcha is amazing and I love the cold foam options. They've worked out a lot of those early kinks now that they are a year in. Love the plentiful outlets, space to spread out and talk with friends but also small tables to work at. I do think it's confusing when they have your "choice of milk" on their specials but what they really mean is they will charge you for the milk you pick. If full, it can get loud, and the parking is just unfortunate. Don't let a busy parking lot fool you, it may be the neighboring sports bar and this place could be empty. I've given up at times because of an inability to find parking. read more

This Stories location is quickly becoming my new favorite place to park myself for work. The staff is friendly and helpful, music is great, WiFi is fast, and there's plenty of seating with all types of ergonomic variety so certainly you can find a comfortable place to situate yourself. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, however, I'm a big fan of their coffee. It's smooth, not too dark, and not bitter. Perhaps one of the other big benefits is the prices for things are STILL REASONABLE considering inflation at every other coffee shop. You can still get a decent meal for around $10 and a frou frou drink for around $5. I'm torn in writing this review because while I want to help them, I also want to keep this place as unknown as possible ;) read more

I finally stopped here for coffee on a cold, rainy afternoon. I pulled into the drive-thru and was greeted immediately. The girl recommended the Nutella latte when I asked what she recommended. I was in and out of the drive-thru in less than three minutes with a delicious drink! Plus they offered military discount, and I signed up for their rewards program. Stories is quickly becoming an Omaha special, as their Gretna location just opened along with their new midtown location. 4 spots throughout omaha to spend your time eating, drinking coffee, chatting with friends, or just getting some work done. I have yet to visit the midtown location but I have to say, as far as atmosphere and aesthetics go the Gretna location has stole my heart. Big windows basically have me sold anywhere -- with an abundance of natural light coming in and the most beautiful view during sunset. This space is open, bright, warm, and Inviting. Unfortunately I do not have a full review as I actually didn't order anything, I will have to update in the future when I do, but as far as aesthetics and experience overall, I really enjoyed my time here. It wasn't too loud or too quiet, it was the perfect place to meet a friend or to get work done. Sometimes I hate going into coffee shops that are so quiet you could hear a pin drop, because then I feel like I am subject to silence. On the other hand, I'm not a huge fan of loud and boisterous coffee shops that give no room for getting some work done -- all that being said, this is the perfect in between and a must stop shop if you're ever in the area. read more

I really like their original location and feel like the best service and quality of drinks unfortunately stays at that location. I live right next to the Gretna store and was so excited when they were building, but in the last 6-8 months, any time I go to get an iced black tea, it tastes very old and bitter, and the workers are not very professional in the drive thru line--with my last visit including them coming over the speaker, laughing their head off, not able to finish a greeting and wondering if I should give them my order or not. And I'm not just a huge grump--this was a good minute of this over the speaker off and on. Their lattes are good and never a problem with those but when I got an iced water with it, the water tasted so bad of sewer, that it was not drinkable. Sadly, I think it'll be quite a bit of time before I try coming here again. read more

I went to the drive up for a simple cup of coffee. It was not busy. The server was friendly but upon pulling back onto the road I realized my coffee was only slightly warm at best. A drive thru customer also should be given a quality product. Buyer beware check your drink at the window. Cold coffee stinks. read more

This place is so cute ! Loved the decor and the staff was very friendly. My daughter got the mango smoothie and she is usually very picky but drank that with no complaints. My chai was a little less spicy than I like so next time I will ask for less milk, but I didn't order it that way, so no blame to the coffee shop. We will definitely be back. read more

If you're of brown or black skin tone, you would be better severed going to Scooters or Starbucks. I've been to both locations and their employee's either ignore you and or watch you like a hawk as if I'm doing something wrong. The only thing I did was walk into your store being black. Waited 20 minutes for 2 coffees in the drive through and eventually gave up. Very disappointing.

Spent 21 minutes in the drive thru ( could not turn around and get out). Drink was not ready when we got to the window and no acknowledgement of the wait. First visit and last. There are too many good coffee shops in town to try again. read more

Ambience was nice--lots of seating and I liked the open area. It's pretty cool that they have alcoholic beverages and cocktails. This is the second time I've been to this location. The first time, I went through the drive thru on a weekday evening around 9pm. They had to remake my drink because they used milk instead of oat milk (I'm lactose intolerant). This past time I sat inside and ordered my same drink. I had to repeat my order to the barista (which is fine) but the wait time for my latte was a little absurd. 10-15 minutes? I haven't had any other menu item besides my oat milk lattes, but I do feel like the prices are more expensive than The Beanery up the street. I really wanted to like this place--I just feel like the service is lacking given there were 3 people behind the counter. Overall, it's a cool spot for a first date or to study. read more

The Gretna location is disappointing with drinks (they will fill under fill all of your drinks), food (it appears they are cutting corners with portions) and atmosphere (manager and barista snide to customers and staff). During my 15 minute stay I observed the management insult customers, multiple sharp remarks and had one of the sweetest baristas in tears due to unreasonably rude treatment. I left for good and assume the establishment needs some time to mature and find a team that won't make customers and other employees feel awful for being there. read more

Two cars in front of me turned into a 20 minute wait and then after I ordered and paid and I am finally at the window they tell me they are out of a food item that I ordered. I tried to give them some grace and returned a second time where they see me with my dog and tell me they don't care for dogs! Who says that? Do not work here and do not eat here. I worked here for a week and management/"supervisors" were so horrible that I quit. After my interview I had to text the manager several times to even see if I had a job to which the only response I got was "start monday 10-4" and after asking if there was paperwork/training I should do I didn't hear back. I showed up and no one even knew I was coming. I couldn't clock in and even after a week I had no schedule since I couldn't hear back from the manager. I received no training, and wasn't even acknowledged from the so called supervisor. I did however get to observe everything and it is run so backwards with no sanitary precautions taken whatsoever. I witnessed people going from their phones, the headset, and touching the ordering screen that every customer touches, and then without washing their hands go and make sandwiches, salads, and more completely bare handed. I never once saw anyone making food wearing gloves, absolutely disgusting. The "supervisor" Clara, as well as others would help themselves to cheese and other food by again digging their bare hands into the containers which held ingredients that would later be served to customers. On my third day of working, the manager Jeff, finally stopped in and not only didn't say a word to me or the other new employee the whole time that he was there, but later made up completely blatant lies about me, stating that he came up and said "hi, how are you" to which I allegedly ignored him, and then he supposedly asked me to hold open the doors for him when he was carrying things in and I also ignored him then? Nothing of any sort ever happened yet he felt completely comfortable making up lies about an employee to save his own ass. Makes you wonder what else is lied about and how everything else is run if that's the way things are handled. Also on the third day, the owner's wife sent in some friends as "secret shoppers" and there was a minor delay with their food. She then sent what was described by 2 other employees as an "angry hate rant" text to several of the higher ups, which resulted in new "rules" being instated by the supervisor, which were no phones even within eyeshot of a customer, no sitting during your entire shift, and even if you're standing "make yourself look busy". I wasn't even on my phone, yet the supervisor came over and physically confiscated it and put it in the back office like I was in middle school and not a full grown adult. I wasn't rude or confrontational but simply asked her how I would even know when to clock out since there wasn't a clock in the place and then told her I needed to have my phone on me because my mom has health issues and I needed to see if I get a text/call. Her response was "well maybe just go back and check every hour or so and see if you got a message". I didn't say anything but really? That'll do a lot of good if I get an urgent text and don't end up seeing it in time because my employer feels the need to treat people like children who have no self control. To add to this, the manager decided to make up another complete lie about me, saying that I told the supervisor that "my mom is dying". I never even specified what health issues she had, let alone say that she's dying. Where does that even come from to make up about someone? Other than the fact that the manager realized how horribly backwards his company was being run and felt the need to make up lies to make it not seem so ridiculous. I was also told that I'd be making $14-15 and hour and just got my direct deposit and they shorted me to where I made about $12 an hour before taxes. In the words of one of their other employees, "the owners will not hesitate to f*ck people over.", and clearly they already have me.
