The job took the amount of time they said it would and they even worked through a very cold day. Had three other companies come out, and the first one said, need new roof soon and new siding soon, within 4 years. Next one said, need new roof immediately and could use new siding. Third one said need new roof in around 7 years. hmmmm..... Out comes Berg roofing--my 4th estimate. Guy says to me, your architectural shingles are in fabulous shape. The reason they look uneven to you is because they're very long, and overlap. They are not damaged by hail (or very little). Wait until you see see the coating that is on them in your gutter downspouts. They are coated with granules. They withstand up to 130 mph winds. That roof will last you indefinitely. Do you have leaks on second floor, he asks me. No. He goes inside house. Looks at 2 small leaks above first floor window. I ask, is it the siding. He says, no, it's probably a lack of insulation around that area, in the first floor ceiling. Is this the first time you've gotten moisture? I say, yes, first time in 16 years. He says try not to use a whole house humidifier (I rarely do, although I did run it for a month this past winter). He adds either circle them in pencil or cover them with Kilz and see if they re-appear next spring. If they do, call an insulation company or dry wall company, and have them add insulation around where the moisture appears. He says, it's not the window, not the siding, not the roof. It's a lack of insulation, and when the cooling turns into warming around spring, the area defrosts, and if there's not enough insulation, you can get small water spots. OMG! Is this the only honest roofing company out there? I was so impressed. Guess where we'll go when we need new roofing?

Was not thoroughly checked by supervisor! -substandard work was done: condensate line disconnected and not replaced causing a major leak that damaged our bathroom walls and ceiling. The condition of our attic space was disappointing with debris left everywhere. -Insulation baffles were not replaced and secured as they had been prior. -Furnace flue was disconnected, pushed down, smashed and not resolved correctly. We hired HVAC contractor to fix. -our gutters were not fitted properly to the ridge of the garage leaving a big gap. -Customer Service was very, very disappointing.....

They gave me a deadline to replace my roof at my expense in order to keep my coverage. I contacted Matt from C&N construction and explained my situation. Matt was extremely helpful through the whole process and my insurance ended up paying for the replacement roof. I was on a strict timeframe that I didn't believe was possible to achieve by Matt got my roof replaced before my deadline. The whole process was smooth and I can't say enough good things.

They cut shingles on my roof and when the insurance adjuster came the next day they commented on the fact that the shingles looked like they had been intentionally cut. Obviously did not hire them for the job. Be aware these guys are not trustworthy.

In early May after the excessive rain we had, we found a leak in one of our rooms. I called several…read moreroofers who wouldn't or couldn't get to my home in a timely manner but SWS did. Pete was fantastic. He helped me file an insurance claim and everything was approved due his experience in the business. The roof was done within two weeks. However, we had an additional problem with our chimney box leaking and so I reached out and asked Pete if he could recommend someone to fix that problem as I fully trusted him and this was not part of the roof/ insurance, claim. Pete said he'd look into it. He eventually had some of his guys look at it and order parts to fix it. Now, I knew there'd be an additional cost but was never given any quote or dollar amount anytime we asked. Finally after about 6 wks, the box was repaired with a new cap and some siding to match it to my home because the wood was deteriorating, per Pete. Again, NEVER was given an additional price. Meanwhile I had dropped off a large portion of my final roof payment, holding the last quarter of balance until the work was fully completed. Pete also seemed to dissappear as we have not seen or heard from him since the actual roof was done. I was called by the woman who runs the office and only then did I find out the final cost of the additional work on the chimney box, which was nearly $1000 more(I could have had box removed for $400). Remember, we NEVER asked SWS to fix it, only recommend someone. Anyway, the painter finally fixed the inside damage and everything looks great after 2 Mos n 8 days. I would recommend SWS for the roofing work. We were extremely, EXTREMELY happy with that process. UPDATE: SWS MADE MY CHIMNEY ISSUE RIGHT. THEY ARE A STAND UP COMPANY.

I was quickly…read moreimpressed with Pete Galgano's attentiveness to the project, particularly in stark comparison to the 2-3 other proposals I solicited from other vendors. Some never responded with a proposal while others had a proposal in my hand within 10 minutes, which felt too much like a hard sell. SSSR's proposal was in my hand within 48 hours as promised and was right in line with all the other bids. Most important, Pete guided me through the insurance claim for hail damage that otherwise I wouldn't have pursued since the other vendors made no mention of the potential for a claim. SSSR also took care of every step of the frustrating permit process. Also, Pete was very helpful in guiding us through color selections without being overbearing. After several weather-related delays, the project started in late fall with the roof replacement. That phase of the project went quickly, with no problems encountered. The roof looks great, the satellite dish was re-installed correctly and a couple of rain diverters were placed upon request. November was an absolutely miserable month of weather, so the rest of the project didn't start until we got well into December. Once that commenced, no problems were encountered. The siding looks outstanding, and we've now got a clean new look to the exterior of the house with all the trim replaced. I can recommend SSSR without hesitation.
